This is a fine and well run hotel that provides an excellent service. The evening meal in the restaurant was of a high standard and very reasonable. Alastair and Jane were exceptionaly good at welcoming the guests and made our stay even more pleasant. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants good food, good company in a quiet but beautiful area

Hotel in a good location but service was poor. Only one member of staff doing everything from reception, bar, restuarant (dinner and breakfast), answering queries. Rooms were clean but old fashioned and chilly. TV small and only able to pick up 2 channels, with poor reception. Food was expensive and all vegetables, rolls etc classed as extras at £1.50 a time. Lounge and dining room had been modernised but were not warm and welcoming.

Lovely location and very welcoming, friendly staff. Good sized room overlooking the gardens to the rear. Very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Future upgrades planned which will make this an even better place to stay.

Easy to find as is on the main road through Pandy, however, the hotel is called the Park hotel which at 1am can be a little confusing, I know this for a fact. That said, the welcome was first class.

Very friendly welcome, staff at all times helpful and courteous without being overbearing. The restaurant was very good. The room was clean and well furnished, only down side was a rather pathetic shower which was very difficult to adjust- either scalding or freezing! Overall good value for money, a lovely location and easy to find. i would recommend this hotel.

Room (no.4) was generally fine although windows wouldn't close properly. Shower was unuseable one morning as too little pressure for valve to remain open. A little cold at times as radiators switched off (but we are coftie southerners!)Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely come back!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room had recently been refurbished. There is still some construction work being carried out, but you do not here or see anything and it does not obstruct the running of the hotel. We wil be back!!!!

| Tried to call them on our way as we passed a Hotel called Park Hotel which looked nothing like the photo and I was booked in the The Park Country House Hotel so we carried on driving to see if we could find it. When we realised that there wasn't another hotel around with a simular name I tried to call them to check but I got no reply and after letting the phone ring off 3 times. We were met by a chef (there was no reception desk) and then a young lady showed us to our room. I had to go down and ask for toilet roll as there wasn't any in the room. We needed a taxi to get to the wedding reception at a hotel nearby and asked if they could call a taxi for me for 7.15pm. She came back to us and said that he was only free to take us at 6.45. Is there only 1 taxi in the whole area?? We accepted the earlier taxi. The guy who picked us up had a mini bus and I believe her worked for the hotel (but then he cahrged us £4 for going 1 mile down the road?). He was very friendly and helpful and let us know that he could pick us up at either 11pm or 12pm (and that we would need to go with him other wise we won't be able to get in to the hotel and we don't have a front door key!!!). He picked us up at 11pm and took us back to the hotel and told me that we would have to let someone at the bar know what time we want breakfast in the morning ( I thought that was a bit strange as I didn't know what time i was going to get up). We asked for breakfast for 9am but ended up getting up earlier so I went down stairs and had to ask a lady in the kitchen if we could have breakfast in about 10 minutes instead. she said that was fine. We had to wait in the breakfast room for a while before she served us as I think she works the breakfast shift on her own. We asked for coffee and a cooked English. The food arrived after about 10 minutes, then she went back to get the ketchup and then the toast arrived after that. the coffee came just before we finished our breakfast. the food was edible. | The only problem was that the catch on the window was broken otherwise I I would rate the room as 6 for quality- it was a very cold night and anyone else ( I live on a farm & like a cold bedroom ) I think would have been cold. Otherwise though everything was lovely, this hotel is excellant value. |
