Recently spent 4 wonderful vacation days at the Palms with my grown son and his girlfriend. We arrived late after an airline delay and had called the hotel to advise them of late arrival. No problem! We were courteously treated by the check-in clerk who 5 minutes later called to make sure everything was allright. The room with an ocean view was lovely and the whole hotel was tastefully decorated in the Miami design style. The beach was fabulous, the food in the dining room very good if a bit pricey. The best thing about this hotel is the plentiful and attentive staff who do everything to make sure guests leave the hotel with the feeling of having had a positive experience. Any minor irritations are ignored when you are treated so well. Only drawback was the pool which was a bit warm and salty. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others!

This hotel is very nice but the pool was closed while we were there. I was hoping to be closer to actual south beach. You are not near any little restaurants or shops if you stay here.

Fantastic hotel, bedroom was beautiful and quite large. Lovely pool area and leads directly onto the beach - couldn't ask for nicer. Had a lovely stay in the Palms and would definitely go back.

This is a great place to stay. It is far enough away from the crowds to be relaxing, but not too far that you can't walk quickly to fun! Excellent service !

Staying at The Palms was a great experience. I have no complaints what so ever. The customer service was excellent. The staff was extremely friendly. I would definitely stay there again. They cater to your every need. The food is a bit costly, but good.

Being awakened before 8am to workers outside my window working on the roof. no drinking water available. I was told by someone at the front desk that if I wanted water, I had to buy the $8.00 bottled water from the mini bar.

Good location, plenty of sun bathing space under palm trees in pool area. Able to walk straight on to beach. Excellent breakfast although confusing as to what each menu represented. Evening dinner in beautiful surroundings although price was fairly high. Staff were friendly and helpful.

And if the world had the attitude and personality my wife and I received at The Palms , then it will be peace and love all over. We really recommend The Palms to all that wanted to be treated like royality without the title ;)

Hotel far exceeded our expectations. We only stayed for one night before heading down to the keys for the rest of our vacation and we were wishing we could just stay. Great place if you are traveling with kids (we were traveling with 3 small kids). Nice beach and pool. Rooms were a little small but very nice. Great beds! Did not have a lot of interaction with the staff but everyone we encountered was very friendly.

We booked our trip through Travel website and pre-paid for our vacation package. The previous day before our departure we called the hotel to confirm our reservation and inform them of our late arrival. We finally got to the hotel at 11:30 pm and proceeded to check in. To our surprise we were encountered by the hotel night manager who aggressively informed us that there were no rooms left in the hotel at all despite our pre-paid reserved room!! After several attempts (also tried to upgrade) to get our confirmed room, she informed us that the hotel was overbooked and that this happens quite often. This was simply unacceptable and when we asked why someone didn?t notify us about this she simply said ?I don?t know?. She then quickly pulled out an already completed letter for another hotel for us to spend the night and told us to come back the next day to check in at 4 in the afternoon. To make matters worse, she informed us that anyone that checks in at that point will be turned away as well. However, to our complete astonishment, we witnessed two couples and a lady check in to the hotel!! Once we realized that the manager lied to us about not having rooms available, we decided to contact Travelocity to cancel our reservation and provide us with a total hotel refund. After two full hours dealing with poor hotel management skills and getting a refund, we finally found room available at 2 in the morning at the Marriot South Beach Hotel, thanks to a Travelocity agent. After a miserable experience we strongly recommend not booking at this hotel due to their current and ridiculous policy of overbooking despite confirmed reservations. We were humiliated, disappointed, and unfairly treated by the hotel management.

| I was very pleased to have been able to stay at this hotel and would definitely stay there in the future. However, I was not asked whether I wanted a smoking or non-smoking room and were put in a smoking room. This is my only complaint.
Tip: Make sure that you check out Ocean Drive only a few blocks walk from the hotel. Also, check out the restaurants on Lincoln Mall, also nearby. |

The entire area is under construction and so was a bit noisy, but again expected. The overall experience was terrific. The surprises were the extra charges, taxes, fees, etc. Surprised at the end of stay with the additional charges being more than the room itself.

We went with our 1 year old son and had an incredible time. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the hotel with the garden is gorgeous and the food at the restaurant overlooking the garden, is fantastic. We can highly recommend the Palms hotel if it is for a romantic stay or a family. For the action seeking people it's maybe a bit to far off the "club scene".
