I have paid $289 per night to stay in a motel. The traffic started at 6AM with children and adults being so loud it was practicly impossible to rest. And if you add the ac unit on the window...

Location is good. Dirty, filthy, gross. If I would have had a sleeping bag with me, I would have slept in it rather than the bed.

This was a good weekend getaway. We went in the off season, so there was no crowd. The hotel was quiet, and the staff was helpful. Rooms were average but good for the price. The complementary breakfast was acceptable. Great access to the beach and not far from downtown. We would go again.

Proximity to the beach. Cleanliness was an issue and pool closed way too early. I liked the price of the hotel, but the pictures totally were of somewhere else. The continental breakfast was a joke. The orange juice was hot, when it was working; the selection of bagels and breads were never restocked and trash was overflowing out of the cans all the while employees kept walking in and out of the buffet area. We stayed for 2 nights. Our second day that we were there, it stormed and we stayed in our room for most of the day. Our room was never cleaned, until 4 pm when the maid came to the door. I had already made the room bearable so I asked for more towels and shampoo. I have never had housekeeping come so late before in any hotel that I've stayed in. All in all, the location is great. Service is below par.

My better half and I spent a couple of nights here for a small sort of vacation. Everything was fine. Nothing spectacular. Some of the glasses in the cabinet were very dirty which made me wonder what else could have been overlooked. All in all, it was a good stay. Don't know if I'd make it back to this hotel next time.

Proximity near beach. Really great experience at Palms Hotel. Hotel is right on the beach, staff is extremely friendly and helpful, great stay. Room can be a little noisy from neighbors but nothing extreme. Room was clean and kept very well.

The beach and Isle of Palm area was really nice but the hotel was extremely old and dirty. The beds were fairly comfy and pool was nice. I will defiantly find somewhere else to stay next time. It was so not worth what I paid!!!

It was right on the beach. It was easy to find parking but we went in the off season. No parking at the hotel only space for loading and unloading. The hotel is located right on the beach. Next time I would request a room with a view. The staff was very friendly and accommodating as we moved rooms due to a child crying and pulling on the adjourning room door handle. The rooms are old but were comfortable.

The location is great, isle of palms is a very nice place to stay. The hotel however was not worth the price. Parking is across the street. The ground level area for loading and unloading is merely dirt and gravel. At check-in I was advised not to use the elevator, someone had recently been stuck in it. The room was very small and the air conditioning unit was not adequate to keep the room comfortable. The pool is a joke.

Beautiful view, conveniently located around shopping and dining, friendly staff, good continental breakfast, nice towels, bedding and bath were clean. Needed dusting, shower curtain was torn wouldn't close all the way, screen door was off, no parking, toilet stops up easily, little musty. Overall our stay was nice. The bedding and bathroom was clean. They had a good continental breakfast. The staff was friendly. The hotel could have done a few things that would have made the room more appealing. It needed to be dusted and the screen door was off and just sitting on the balcony. The shower curtain was torn so you couldn't close it all the way. The low flow toilet stopped up very easily. You had to park out on the street because they don't have any parking. We weren't able to find a place to park on Saturday night but they were kind enough to let us park in the unloading area.

The Palms Hotel is a nice hotel but I was somewhat disappointed in the room. The appliances, carpet & bedding were old. The area was very beautiful. My trip was actually to Charleston & this location was a bit far from where I wanted to go each day. But for a strictly beach vacation it would be great.

The room I finally got was nice. Interior ofrooms and no parking. If you are a college student looking for a fun place to spend spring break, this is it. If you're a large family looking for a reunion site, this may be for you. If you don't want to park down the street in a municipal parking lot, don't stay at this hotel because there is no on-site parking. I wangled a partial ocean view room because it was off season. Nice room with a balcony, microwave and fridge but a little noisy.

As an older building, things were maintained. The season for us was still cold and the outside furniture needed cleaned. The partial view of the beach gave a nice sunrise view. We like early morning. The plantation blinds kept out light when we wanted darkness. We were well pleased with the variety of breakfast choices and the early hour of 6:30 a.m. With a 20-30 min. drive, we were able to tour Old Charleston and the Market as well as dine at our leasure. The tour guide was really good. We enjoyed our restful stay.

Great if you want to be on the beach. Did not like how window looked out to inner hallway. We only stayed one night as we were moving on to Charleston. If I were staying there, I would like a room in a different position. Our window looked out to the hallway; it wasn't even like being on the beach. Overall though everything was fine.

The Palms Hotel was in a great location - close to the beach. However, I think parking may be an issue during the summer season as only on-the-street parking is available. The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable with wonderful amenities -refrigerator, microwave, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. The bed was extremely comfortable. My only complaint was that the non-smoking room we stayed in reeked of cigarette smoke. They kindly brought in a machine that really didn't make any difference. When we asked if we could be switched to another room, we were told that there were no other rooms available although it was definitely off-peak season and there did not seem to be very many people staying at the hotel. That would be the only reason I would not stay this hotel again.

On the beach. Not as clean as I would like. Typical older hotel on a beach front. Starting to get run down. Needs freshening up.

The room was nice enough. Overall not a bad room. The breakfast was wonderful and the staff was very accomadating. View was great, bed slept very well parking was different being only street parking, but was not hard to find spot, was off season, would wonder what summer would be like. I would diffently stay here again and actually plan to.

Ion the beach, but that is a seasonal perk. It was outdated, not very clean, no amenities.

There are several very good eating places close by. Walking distance ,there is the bistro, cafe, Sea Biscuit and One eyed Parrot. Just a short drive is the Boulevard Diner.

It's convenience and cleanlines. Towels and linens were stored in the commons area. I would recommend this hotel and I will stay again.
