The Old Ginn House has been successfully converted from a 17th century farm into a charming hostelry build around an appealing courtyard. This popular Cumbrian Inn is ideally situated for visiting the area on business, or whether you want to walk, cycle, golf (the Inn is just a short distance from a number of quality golf courses), fish or explore the unspoilt Western Lake District and the Solway Coast. Britain's Favourite View -Wastwater - also Bassenthwaite, Buttermere, Crummock, Loweswater, Ennerdale and the highest peak in England - Scafell Pike - are all within a 20-30 minute drive. Over half of our bedrooms were fully refurbished in 2011 and we aim to continue our refurbishment programme during 2012. Therefore, with quality en-suite accommodation - Double Rooms (singledouble occupancy), Twin Rooms, Family Rooms (1 of which can take a family of 2 adults and 3 children), Luxury Suite with JACUZZI bath - and excellent food served in our unique Ginn Room Bar and atmospheric Dining Areas, The Old Ginn House aims to ensure you have a most relaxing and enjoyable stay.
