Excellent room, excellent service I would recommend The Oaks to anyone. We stayed in room 820 which was the King suite with jacuzzi tub and excellent view of the falls. Perkins was the only downfall for breakfast we took the package with breakfast and Perkins took an hour both mornings for a basic breakfast and the mangare treated us as second class people due to voucher which we paid for in our package.

Upon arrival, we suspected a bad time when neither of the keys we were given opened the door to the room. Our suspicion was confirmed when the keys stopped working the second day of our stay. The halls & stairway were dirty. The room was dusty. The water temperature in the shower would not remain constant. It went from extremely hot to cold automatically. Getting from one place to another is like going through a maze without a guide. Parking was very inconvenient and costly. for the price we paid, it was not a good experience. We would not stay in this hotel again. We would not recommend it to anyone.

The view of the Falls was breathtaking. Not enough parking. The hotel was amazing. I was getting married in Niagara Falls, and wanted a hotel with a view of the Falls. When we got to our room we were not disappointed, the view was incredible!

Was a spectacular view of the falls from our hotel room on the 7th floor. We were very satisfied. Hotel staff was very accommodating when we asked for extra pillows and towels for our room. They even called a cab for us on our departure day even though it was 6:15 in the morning. It was a memorable experience. I highly recommend The Oakes Hotel and have to our friends. It is truly a hidden jewel.

Good Value. Clean hotel and helpful staff. Stayed on second floor and had a partial view of Canadian Falls. No continental breakfast. Close to attractions near the Horshoe Falls. Good choice if you plan on spending much time in the room. Good restaurants nearby (some in walking distance).

We visited Niagara Falls for one day at this hotel. It was great. We stayed on the 14th floor in a 5 bed suite. The view was great. I mean GREAT. Location has very good access to the Incline Railway that gets you to next to the falls main road. The staff was nice. I almost passed it up because it was kind of pricy, but the receptionist offered us a temporary key to see the room. It was more than I ever expected. You are overlooking the Horseshoe falls. You can see both the American and Canadian sides. If you want a room with a view, this is the place.

Had a great view of the mist from our second story window and it was a long trek to the 14th floor lookout. Hotel was ok, but nothing to brag about. I was surprised that they let my sister check in for all of us since I had booked the rooms with my credit card.

the falls view rooms where worth the extra money, the view was awsome.the pool was ok,applebees right next store, lots of restaurants to choice from.you do have to walk 5 blocks to get to falls,or pay 2 buck too ride down, not a bad walk.

Positive comments: Comfortable beds, clean inside of the room, good location and price, availability of the swimming pool, nice front desk service, very friendly. Negative sides: No microwave in the room, TV didn't have programs for kids, dirty carpets in hallways. Light came on for no reason during the night when we slept and turned off by itself after about 10 seconds - this was weird. Water in the pool was not crystal clear like we used to in the USA

Excellent views from the window. Our Suite was on 14th floor. No internet and when called the receptionist if we can get one, she with her accent unnecessarily shouted on us and was very rude. We will not recommend anyone to stay here

when I booked the hotel, then called the hotel,I was told I would have a fall view. But when we got there we were put on the 5th floor and could not see any of the falls due to the trees blocking the view. They were booked and could not move us til the next day. I was told that in the winter there weren't any leaves on the trees and you could see the falls. But we were there in June. All was well the next day when we moved to the 16th floor (with a small fee). I don't have any other place to compare to the Oaks, but overall everyone was kind and curteous and nice about my complaint. So when you go to any place such as this you need to be more specific in what you want.

The Oakes was a nice hotel, but nothing special for the money when the $15/night parking was added to the invoice. Staying "falls side", but only on the 3rd Floor meant I had a a very limited view of the falls. The Hotel was convenient to the inclined railway which takes travelers to the Visitor Center and the rim of the falls.

extremely terrible experience with the staff, especially one of the bossy loud creatures at the front desk, dont remember her name [...] or [...] or something, apparently she's d supervisor or manager. Terrible example to ppl workin under her. No basic amenities like drinking water, no closet or wardrobe no place for ur clothes or bags etc in room. But an amazing view and the room though small was alright quite a comfortable one but with a little effort they can make it an amazing hotel as the location is fantastic. very good value for money if not for poor service.

New hotel and perfect location - our view was directly overlooking the falls. Uninterupted view! Pool, spa and hot tub are ok, however, it has the worst gym I have ever seen in a hotel. But for the price and location it can't be beat!

Spent two nights this week on the 15th floor. Amazing view!!!!! Our room was nice and clean and the staff was great. We didn't use the pool or workout room as we spent most of our time wandering around the area. I really only have two items which they could improve on. First, they charge $12 to park on the property, for the entire stay, and the parking is somewhat tight late at night. A quick note though; get a Players Club card at the Casino and use it just a time or two inside and the parking is free there, right next door to the Oakes. The other item they can improve on is the TV channel selection. While they advertise that they provide Satellite TV, in reality they only provide 14 channels and 12 of them are local stations, meaning there is zilch on after midnight except CNN. They do however offer a small selection of pay per view movies, and I mean a small collection, at about 10-12 bucks a show. We had the Gourmet package which provides Dinner at a steakhouse called Remington?s which is about a mile away. They basically give you a choice of seven entrees and three appetizers. We selected the New York Strip and the Stuffed Chicken dinners, both with prime rib soup as appetizer. They were both fantastic. As a comparison, we ate dinner at the Keg the second evening, an excellent chophouse right next door to the Oakes, and we hade very similar dinners. Our bill came to $55 Canadian and I can easily say that the dinners at Remington's were every bit as good if not better. This whole package was a great value for us and our stay was thoroughly enjoyable.
