I couldn't believe how nice the hotel and our room was. We were just steps away from Times Square and my girlfriends and I felt safe and loved it that we were always closeby to everything. The hotel staff was always so nice and our room was kept spotless. I have stayed in New Jersey before to save money on hotel but I was so surprised that this was the best hotel for the best price. If anybody is reading this and you are planning a weekend or vacation in New York by yourself or with friends, this is The Best hotel to stay at. Orbitz is awesome!

Great front desk service. Times Square is cool, but better parts of city. Great hotel. Remodeled. Rules.

I'd stay again in a heartbeat! My husband and I stayed here this past weekend (3/14-3/16) along with my mother. Rooms: Both were impeccably clean...had king beds... rooms were spacious enough (it is NYC). Lovely bathroom. Quiet! We were VERY pleased. MINOR Complaint: Key cards weren't working but they did remedy this situation and the staff was EXTREMELY accommodating. Complaint: My mother's room was #502. The A/C and fan were NOT working so the room would not cool down. She called to complain after the first night of 81 degree temperatures in the room. They came up to "fix" it but the coolest the room ever got was 71 and it still slowly creeped up. It was very uncomfortable. Our room (#510) was perfectly fine. So it was definitely an isolated problem - but a problem. Location: FABULOUS! Located on W 46th St between 6th & 7th Ave. If you walk out of the hotel and go left to 7th Ave, you are in the heart of Times Square. If you walk out of the hotel and walk right, you're minutes from Rockefeller Ctr. Perfect. Subway is a short walk. Parking: They have valet for $48/day but we parked ourselves in the garage which is practically next door for $33 a day+tax=$80 for 2 days + an extra hour. Staff: Extremely friendly and accommodating. Not one complaint about staff. Dining: Restaurant was closed. We took advantage of the free continental breakfast downstairs (level "LL") & it was lovely. We did not attend the evening wine reception or order room service. We went to Bond 45 (recommendation from the front desk). It's located on W 45th, I believe-VERY good Italian fare. Expensive, but everything in NY is, I suppose.

First and foremost, our visit to NYC was great. However, our stay at The Muse was disappointing. The good news is that the hotel is well situated for Times Square and all the activities for NYC. The hotel is nicely furnished and well kept. Our room was a nice size and was clean. The bad is that this hotel is probably the noisiest hotel that we have ever stayed in (and we have traveled quite a bit). The trash on 46th Street (and all NY streets) is picked up during the middle of the night. Well - believe us. You HEAR every trash bag being thrown. If you are okay with going to sleep after 3am then you will be okay with the noise. Additionally, the bar patrons that leaving the closing bars also are very loud. 2 out of 4 nights there were fights in the street which added to the ambiance. Another negative was the lack of knowledge that the concierge(s) had regarding the city and the location attractions. Either they are fairly new or they are have been poorly selected for this responsibility. Simply disappointing, Overall - the hotel is nice. However, we would not rate it a four star experience based on our comments above. A high three might be more appropriate and perhaps a stretch at that. The Muse could have done better.

My wife had stayed here once before, but never noticed that it's pet friendly. While that may be a plus for many, it's not for my family due to asthma/allergies. Thank God that The Muse is very well kept. One thing we observed is how most NYC hotels (and businesses for that matter) have small, tiny bathrooms. Not the Muse. In addition to a very spacious room, the bathroom is full sized. It was much larger than a Marriott that I recently stayed in outside of NYC. I would say this is great for anyone - business traveler or family - looking to be near Broadway or Times Square. You are less than a block away from the very center of Times Square, making it perfect for catching a show and picking up some souvenirs (M&M World, Hershy's, and MTV are all right there!). You can also stroll past broadway

Very centrally located. It was under construction, area near hotel messy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Some construction took away from the lobby.

Our family stayed at The Muse Dec 21st - 24th and we were exceptionally pleased with the hotel and the location. From check-in to check-out everything at The Muse was as a hotel should be. The whole staff was attentive and very friendly. It was so nice to see the check-in staff taking care of a guest's puppy while they were out. We had 2 rooms and both were clean and very nicely appointed. The bed is one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. My boys and I liked the L'Occitane citrus scented soap so much, my wife bought us some when we got home. We wull be back.

The Muse was a great choice for visiting mid Manhattan. We happened to get a very reasonable rate (although most of the time the rates are a bit too expensive). The service from the front desk and bellhop was excellent. The restaurant needs some improvement. The menu was very limited, uninteresting and overpriced. The complimentary wine hour was a nice touch. We had a corner room, which was relatively quiet and had nice views. The decor was great. There is a deli on the corner of 46th and Sixth (Europa Cafe) that is good for a quick breakfast. There is also a more modern coffee shop north a block or two on Sixth -- on the east side of Sixth with a variety of coffees and also has chia tea. Theaters are all within walking distance. The same day half price ticket booth is just a few blocks away.

I have stayed at the Muse, a Kimpton Hotel, twice this year. Each visit, I was impressed with the staff, the rooms, and amenities. The location is great! Just one half block away from the hustle of Time's Square. And only one and a half blocks from 5th Ave. shopping. The only discomfort I experienced during my stay, was that the air unit was broken in my room. July in New York can be, well, how shall I put it, d*&% muggy. They sent an engineer up right away, but the unit was broken and needed to be replaced. They did offer to walk me to a sister property, but that was six blocks away. The manager comped my in-room breakfast, and I was ushered to a new room in the morning on a higher floor, and a slightly larger room. All told, they did a great job of making up for the equipment failure. On a side note, the rooms are large, and so are the bathrooms by Manhattan standards! I love this place!

Very fancy, with high end furnishing and decor. The room is very tiny, there is not enough space to open all our luggages. Since we visited during their renovation, the hotel is a bit noisy during the day. However, the hotel staff is awesome and the hotel also compensated the customers by providing them with free continental breakfast buffet and wine reception. It is conveniently located at time square and next to subway station, so it is very easy to travel to and from the hotel.

For the price, it was way above our expectations. It was clean, modern, and the beds were very comfortable. The staff was very helpful and courteous. This hotel was within walking minutes to Times Square. They offered complimentary wine too. Would definitely stay again!

We love to go to NYC for a heavy dose of broadway shows. The Muse is perfect for this, and will now be our top choice. The room was bigger than in most boutique hotels, and new furnishings were posh, comfortable, and hightech. Our i-pod and i-phone plugged right into the radio for charging and playing, and the large LCD TV was great too. We never heard a peep from other guests or the outside world once we closed the door. The lobby is small, but it's got all of these chaise lounges that are great for hanging out when getting ready for a show. We got 2 free newspapers delivered to our door each morning (including the 5 Sunday Times), and the staff was quick to provide extra towels and shampoo when asked. And the soap and shampoo is fabulous! We never waited more than a minute for the elevator (sometimes a problem in NYC). And we were just steps away from the Bway theaters, but far enough off times square to avoid the crazy crowds. Didn't eat at the restaurant, but they had a free dessert bar and free wine tasting that was great. We'll be back for sure.

The heat was broken in this room and many others for two of our three days. So we were cold most of the time. They gave us ONE extra blanket when we asked. There were two of us and two beds for a reason. Then on the day we were due to leave, the toilet was backed up and not usable. The wallpaper was peeling in the bathroom, the table was wobbly, they had an obvious cheap and shoddy mend to the porcelain bathtub and they only gave one bar of soap and shampoo/conditioner for two people to use for three days! They had no computer access for anyone who did not bring their own laptop. While the location was good, it was not worth the money. So, I would not stay there again, nor could I recommend anyone else to do so either. The staff were friendly and courteous, but they apparently don't commuicate well with their fellow workers. What you ask on one shift does not translate into action for the next. In fact, they act as though they never heard the requests before!

Stay in Kimptons and this met expectations even though under renovations. Could've done without road construction sat morning. Bell staff great. Night staff seemed to care far more about being helpful than the day staff. Even though under construction the hotel still was able to satisfy our needs for comfort and service. Can't beat the location and the bell staff will get you anywhere else you need to go.

Steps from Times Square, this is one beautiful hotel. Very quiet. We found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. Our room was stunning it its decor and comfort. We had room service for breakfast on our last morning and it was excellent; it actually cost less than eating in a restaurant. While the hotel does not have rollaway loaners for guests, it did provide us with extra bedding and a futon-like mattress for our visiting daughter. Hotel's only flaw was that when we requested info on theater tickets prior to our trip, no one called us back. Thankfully we had not relied on that info, but got our tickets ahead of time. Overall, we would give the Muse a 9 out of 10 for service and satisfaction. We will be going back.

Right in the heart of all the activity of the Theatre District and a short walk to everything in Mid-town. Rooms were typically NY small but very well appointed with wonderful beds. The Hotel is finishing renovations so although there were great flat screen TV's the channels were limited until the new system is installed. Rooms were upscale and clean and the staff was very helpful and attentive. Concierge was great at getting us transportation back to JFK. One big drawback is that the building next door was recently demolished and they are still jack hammering out the old foundation. Ask for a room away from that side of the building if you want to sleep past 5:30 a.m. Overall, a very positive experience in a great location. It was a good hotel if you travel with teens (and don't mind a lack of privacy due to a smaller room) with a nice size bath and big flufy towels. We do plan on staying there again on our next trip to the Big Apple.
