The rooms were very small as well as the bathroom Only one chair in front of a desk and one night table. the clothes closet one could say was half a closet not toll enough to hang dresses or slacks It did have a security box and a refrigerator all of this stashed in this small closet. no vanity to put small clothing items. Located three blocks from Grand Central Station whis is a big plus if you don't have your own car. Adequate business centrer.

Very easy to get to and right in the thick of things.

The parlour king room we had was miniscule. The extremely small closet had no floor space because of the mini bar. There is no comfortable place to sit other than on the bed. Two adults do not fit comfortably in the miniscule bathroom. The room needed to be painted, the blinds replaced, and there is no place to put luggage. Three out of the five days we were there we had to ask for hand towels and wash clothes. The halls are very small and most days the housekeeping carts blocked the way to the elevator. The lobby has several thrift store quality chairs and a large stain where a table was once placed. The registration desk is reminicent of a seedy hotel because the area needs painting, is cluttered with paper, and a table with coffee service is bumped up next to it. There was no complimentary breakfast or shoe shine. The much advertised cappucino machine was nonexistent. The concierge was usually not on duty. We were unable to change hotels because Travelocity deemed the rate we got a baragain and a "good buy" hotel and we had to pay in advance and in full. Because of the condition of the hotel and our room, the uncomfortableness of the room, and no real ammenities we do not consider this a bargain or a good buy.

We highly recommend this hotel to anyone who's interested in being near the theater district, Times Square & Grand Central Station. Just 14 blocks from Central Park & only 10 blocks from the Empire State Building...it's perfectly situated. The staff is extremely courteous, and the Concierge (Robert) was a life-saver! Every question was answered "above and beyond"...and these folks really know how to make you feel special!! The renovation is amazing...the Club Row Suite was decorated to be so comfy and inviting...we didn't want to leave. The only negative...and it was a minor one...was the size of the bathroom. However, given the age of this building...and the work they did to revive it...they did a fantastic job with what they had to work with. No complaints!! PICK THIS HOTEL !! We certainly will do so again !!

The Check-in was very very very easy. They even let us check in abit earlier. The complimentary breakfast was great. We had internet in our room and our room was small but very convinient. They provide you with a great room service and you have plazma TV and i-home in your room. They front desk helps you with your questions, direction and stores, and locations. they provide you with maps if you need any. There is a bar in your hotel and a fitness room. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is very close to Madison Square Garden, 5th ave, Broadway and Time Square, Grand Central and Rockefeller center, St. Patrick Cathedral and also New York public library. I am sure you will have a gr+eat and nice time if you stay in that hotel. I diffenetly recommend it to others.

Great location for walking to both T Square and the Rock. Bathroom was tiny for two people. Room temp was uncontrollable. Great hotel for a Holiday visit with the girlfriend. Location to Times Square and Rock Center was very convenient. Very happy with the overall experience. The room and bathroom were on the small side, but that just added to the coziness. One glaring bathroom design error was the toiletry shelf above the sink was located such that it made it almost impossible for me to wash my face.

This is a lovely hotel between 5th Avenue and Times Square. My friends who were staying at a larger and roomier hotel couldn't understand why we preferred to stay here but we like smaller and older. Our room WAS small but fun to stay in because it overlooked 44th Street, the bed was very comfy and although modern in decor, we still felt like we were in an old building. My only complaint is since the rooms are little, their design could have been better thought out. The glass shelf over a very small sink makes it hard to conduct most activities that should occur over a sink. The refridgerator in the closet prevents the hanging of anything longer than a shirt and there were no luggage racks. The plus side is that the staff was very nice helpful, the Continental breakfast was good and the fire in the cozy library was just what we were looking for on a bitter, cold afternoon.

This hotel is in the heart of midtown, you just need your walking shoes! The hotel was comfortable, clean and the staff was courteous and very helpful!

The Mansfield Hotel has done a wonderful job of preserving the original feel of the hotel while providing current technology. Our room had the original, beautiful hardwood floors and a great, wall mounted plasma TV. The bathroom was completely renovated with beautiful tile and fixtures. The hallways are narrow, but the original tile and woodwork has been preserved and is in great condition. The breakfast selection was very satisfactory and the free coffee in the library was a nice touch. The bar service in the evening was great. The location was great for us, with Central Park within walking distance.

Very well decorated, clean and very friendly staff. This hotel is an excellent find. It is very cute and extremely well decorated, with excellent service and great amenities. I was very impressed by the cleanliness of the hotel overall. The library was such a wonderful surprise and was a great room to relax after a long day on the town. The rooms can be quite small, but not uncomfortable at all. The clever and tasteful design scheme makes even the smallest room very welcoming.

This was our 2nd stay at the Mansfield Hotel. The rooms are cozy, with nice amenities and comfortable beds. The study/coffee room is great for visiting and the M Bar is great for the free continental breakfast, plus after-dinner drinks and visiting. All types of coffee are available (free) around the clock and that was a plus for us. Location is very good. Most of the staff was very helpful. This time we stayed in a larger room in the back of the hotel, away from the street noise, and it was much nicer.

The Mansfield Hotel is a decent place to stay in New York City. It is close to Time Square and the subways, making it a convenient. The atmosphere is quite comfortable, as their music, coffee bar, and breakfast food make for a relaxing stay. The only weakness of this place is that the hallways on the floors are a bit messy .... maybe it was just a bad day!

Staff was very nice and got us a better room with a queen size bed for the 2nd night. Staff was great. Hotel was clean. If you get a decent room the hotel is nice. The location and staff are great. They should not even offer the petite little room we got the first night. It was like a bad joke looking at this teeny bed in a room that had about one foot of walking room between the desk and bed.

When we arrived we were asked staight away if we wanted to upgrade our room for an extra $30 because the room we had booked had a small double bed and was very small. My husband and I are not tiny people so we opted to upgrade to a room with a queen size bed that was very adequate for our needs. However our window air conditioner was not working so we had to open a tiny window in the bathroom for air. The hotel is well located, really beautiful and the staff were exceptionally friendly and very helpful. I would recomend this hotel but would advise the purchse of a suite with a queen size bed because the "Petite" rooms are exactly that ...A tiny room, very small bed and tiny bathroom ( although they all had tiny bathrooms)

We recently spent a week in New York and chose a package from the travel website to stay at the Mansfield. We picked this hotel because of other positive reviews. Here is one more. Everyone at the Mansfield was very polite. We were booked for a room with a King sized bed but ended up in a Suite with a Queen bed. We didn't mind the change, the room was Very Nice. It was nice to have room to move, and having a suite ment we had a sitting area and a second TV. It was very quiet, no noises heard from halls. The sink in the bathroom was extremely small. I often dripped water on my toes when I washed my face at night. PERFECT location! Located on 44th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues, we were close to everything, but not right in the center of crowds. It was easy to find the subways, and staff was always helpful with directions or suggestions for dinner. The blueberry martini is a specialty. It was pricey at , but very delicious! I would stay here again, and most likely will the next time I travel to New York.

Clean, attractive, helpful & friendly staff. Pricey, small room. Hotel rooms in New York City are extremely expensive during the holiday season. The hotel was very nicerecently renovated rooms and common areas, very friendly and helpful staff and a very nice bar and restaurant on premises (quite expensive though). Good location!

The reviews on this hotel are the reasons I stayed here. Recap: 1. Location - 2 blocks from Times Square, 5 blocks from Rockefellar & Radio City Music Hall, 8 blocks to Central Park, and you're surrounded by shopping!! 2. Hotel & Staff - I was automatically upgraded to a larger room then I had booked, and the room was clean and comfy. The staff was great at recommending a place for me to get a haircut, grab Theater tickets, and go to Dinner. Also, there is a complimentary breakfast every morning. The only issue was the noise from the street - my room faced the street and it was a little noisy.

Excellent location. Quaint boutique hotel. Accommdating staff who worked to move us from Room 501 (a corner room) to a notably larger room 1010. (Both were classified Queen Chambre). Attentive staff, helpful, pleasant. Wonderful freebies: bottled water, coffee and continental breakfast. No complaints. Would definitely stay again in the future!

Easy, efficient, great people at desk, perfect location. No light in the room. Wonderful lobby, European feel, large continental breakfast included in room. Just an excellent location, classy rooms, modern in older graceful building, perfect mix. Would definitely come again.
