I had a very pleasant stay at the Madison. The hotel?s location is very central and the staff was extremely receptive. It was a good overall experience and I would recommend this hotel to a friend.

Great staff and great location. This hotel is in a great location, near the White House, Mall and Dupont Circle. Close to metro if you don't fell like walking. Very attentive and friendly staff. No free wireless in rooms but did have a business center.

Extremely friendly and helpful hotel staff. Very comfortable rooms and beds, nice and quiet. Good location in proximity to major DC monuments and the Verizon Center. In a safe neighborhood with Metro stations closeby (5 min walk). Dining options somewhat pricey but food quality very good. Highly recommended and would definitely stay here again.

Front desk staff and operators were excellent. Very thorough in providing the best of service and great hospitality. Helpful in getting questions answered and issues resolved. The bell staff was also a plus. The restaurant staff, cleanliness and ambiance left much to be desired.

The Madison was very warm and comfortable from check-in to check-out. The apples and lemonade were a nice touch. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The one draw-back on the room was that we could not close the curtains at night without covering the a/c vent--a minor inconvenience. The concerge(sp)was most helpful with restaurant suggestions and the door crew always had a cab waiting for us. A minor glitch occured when we were inadvertently checked out early. Our names were deleted from the hotel register and we had no in room coffee the last day. All in all it was a delightful stay.

We Stayed here 2 nights and from the minute we got there and the bellman took our luggage and the valet took my car, it was an awesome experience. Everyone was very nice and cheerful, and bent over backwards to do whatever we needed. When we got there, my kids and I had left something in the car and they retrieved my car let me get my things and reparked it for me. Breakfast was very expensive and was not that good, but the room was plush and comfortable, with a massage chair. The staff was even attentive to my 7 year old. It was overall a wonderful experience.

Although we live only about one mile from the Madison, my husband and i decided to do a romantic overnight last weekend. We met at the hotel, worked out in the fitness room, rested a little, had drinks in the lobby bar, then went to the Skye Terrace for more drinks, came back to the Palette bar and then dined in the restaurant. The waiter let us take our bottle of wine to the room after dinner. Food and service quite excellent. The bathroom fixtures were worn but otherwise the room was very nice; bed was great with good mattress and nice linens. Breakfast was delicious; we had a B&B package which proved to be a fairly good value. I would recommend it to out of towners as well as locals looking to spice up their lives!

Our daughter and son-in-law just came back from a stay at the Madison and highly recommended it. Right they were! My husband and I were treated royally. The room was lovely and maid service top notch. Thank you Madison.

The massage chair was a delight to have in the room. No free internet in the room. We stayed for five nights while we vacationed in DC. We stayed on the 11th floor and had a street view with some sky. Not much to look at but it beat the air-shaft view that some reviewers said they had. The room was in great shape and came with a massage chair that was put to use right away. The plasma TV was a nice touch as was the IPOD dock which we used every night. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom shower had great pressure and was very clean. The coffee maker was another great touch and made a great cup of coffee. Ice was brought by the staff and usually with in 5 minutes of calling for it. Of course a tip was in order but all in all I did not mind so much. I would stay here again.

We just got back from a spring break getaway. This is a very nice hotel and close to a lot of site seeing areas. It is about three blocks from the metro, a short walk, but you get hit up a lot by panhandlers. The hotel is very nice and the staff were always accomodating. Housekeeping shorted us one glass one day and they quickly sent someone up with another one. There were only two things I did not like, the internet access was very expensive at 13 bucks a day. I have stated in less expensive chain hotels that provided free wireless in the room, so I left the laptop at home. I missed the net a lot as we wanted to plan our next day and research the places we had been. The next was ice, this sounds like a small thing, but there were no ice machines anywhere. If you want ice, you have to call room service and it would take 15 minutes or more to get it. One night they lost my ticket, so I called and the manager himself brought it up. The food was very pricey in the one resturaunt as was room service, so we ate off property. There were several places to eat close by. Our favorite stop was just down the street at Cosi's, they bake their own bread and it was good. We also liked the Post Pub just around the corner. An old place, but good food and cold beer. There was also a liqour store two blocks down, much better than paying 9 bucks for a 2 oz bottle from the mini bar. Overall it was a nice place to stay.

I stayed here a total of 9 nights and it was great. I had problems with my air conditioning and i was asked to change floors which was totally fine as my room was up graded at no extra cost. I also had something very sentimental go missing from my room by mistake (a small soft toy) which had got caught up in the linen, for two days the entire hotel staff searched for my dear and made it their priority to find it, which they did and which i am extremly greatful for. The in room dining is great, as is the restaurant down stairs. This is a great hotel with excellent service, i would certainly stay here again for both business and pleasure.

This hotel is in the middle of everything. Just a few blocks from the White House, within walking distance of great restaurants, shopping and quiet residential communities. The hotel itself is very nicely decorated and the staff are extremely welcoming. We found that it was the little things that we liked, free coffee/tea in the morning (in the restaurant) and ice cold cherry lemonade in the afternoon. We were very happy with our hotel experience.

This was a great hotel. Our room was above a large A/C unit but they were happy to move us to a street facing room. Great service and very close to the mall and the White House. The beds were very comfortable

You get what you pay for - the first room I had was right outside a street light, with no darkening curtains. The second overlooked the buidling HVAC system and an alley. Neither room had amenities listed on the hotel's website - I didn't even get washcloths the last 2 days!

The valet parking is a bit pricy at 35 bucks a day (whether you use your car or keep it there the whole stay.) But we got our car back in great shape, so that was a plus. The one chair was a standard hard-as-a-brick, non-reclining tiny little thing. But the bed, I have to say, was absolutely amazing. Pillow-top mattress, combined with overstuffed feather pillows and a feather-down comforter made for an amazing sleep. The desk and chair were pretty and the TV was a flat-panel LCD. And I can't say enough about the bathroom. The bathroom made me NOT want to leave after our 4 day stay! The granite countertops were breathtaking, and the heated towel racks were a nice touch. But the bathtub/shower combo was the best. The tub was HUGE. We were expecting a jet tub (being a Deluxe room and all), and were disappointed that we didn't have one. However, the sheer size of the tub made up for it. It was almost 6 feet long and exceptionally deep. Great for the avid bubble-bather like myself. We requested a refrigerator be brought to our room, and we had one within 10 minutes of calling the consierge (and at no extra charge, surprisingly.) We had a wonderful view of the apartment complex next door as well as the hotel's dumpsters. Not what you'd expect when you request an upscale room. If you want to eat at the hotel restaurant, plan on spending A LOT of money. It's very pricey, but the staff is exceptional. If you're on a budget, take a walk one block South and you'll find a cheeky little bar with amazing burgers. There's also an amazing pizza place a few blocks away that the concierge swore had the best pizza in D.C. It's called Luigi's and they deliver, and they are GOOD. My biggest complaint is the morning newspaper delivery. You have the option of requesting them to NOT deliver it, which we did do but they apparently were too busy to make a note of our request. Every morning at around 8:30 am we were aroused to a loud BANG. Instead of leaving the newspaper on your doorstep, th

This hotel exceeded our expectations. We had a wonderful stay as opposed to our first 3 nights at a much higher priced hotel near Union Station. Please try this hotel when you are in DC!

Our stay was great!, the guy whose playing the piano every night was great. Staff make us feel important when we check in, check in was easy. Son loved the bed and wanted to come back again next summer! Book at least 8 mos. in advance with a great price less than 200 a night!!!!! can't beat that. There are a lot of good restaurant in the vicinity.
