The 2 rooms we booked were both large and very quiet at night. The breakfasts were as massive as you wanted them to be and the quality good.Dinner was good honest pub food, and the staff could not have been more helpful.The Lugger is ideal for people who want to stay in a pub close to Weymouth, but in a quiet location.

TranquilityThe lugger Inn is in a lovely quaint location just outside of weymouth.Our room was spacious and kept spotlessly clean with fresh towels daily and was very quiet.The staff were all pleasant and helpful.I would definitely recommend.

Lovely sunny weekend at the Lugger!The Lugger is well run, comfortable & clean - as well as being a proper pub with proper beer! The holiday cottages overlooking the beer garden look very attractive; all the buildings were surrounded by masses of beautiful flowers. Very good parking facilities. Easy walk from the pub to the newsagents - pretty village including 13th century church.

a lovely stay!the room was lovely! very clean and nicely presented - looks much better in real life than the pictures provided! the spa bath was clean and very relaxing. the whole b&b was welcoming and cosy. it was a real help to have a private car park at the back, and also the food and drink was great quality and well priced. staying here really made for a relaxing and enjoyable time and we would strongly recommend the lugger if you want a quiet weekend away.

One night in the Lugger...I stayed here while in Weymouth on Business; I ususally use Premier Inn or other 'business' hotels. I was impressed with quality of the fittings in the room; flat screen digital TV, free WiFi and tea/coffee stuff - they had remembered to add decaf, not all hotels do.I didn't eat in the hotel/Inn in the evening so cannot comment on the evening menu.Breakfast was a buffet of cereals and fruit plus a cooked breakfast cooked to order. I had a some very nice scrambled eggs on toast so can't coment on the size/quality of the Full English, but the fact that it is being cooked to order has to be better than picking it off a buffet.It was also £30 cheaper than the Premier Inn I usually use once WiFi and breakfast have been considered.The room was a lot smaller than I'm used to and being built in the old attic only had a small window and no air-con; tis could be a problem in v hot weather. The size isn't an issue for me; the desk was big enough and the bed was double. There's no bath in the room I had but I didn't want/need one anyway.All told a good evening and I'd use it again.

a break, and a chance to explore an unfamiliar areaGood place to stay with no parking hassle- lots to see and explore arounf Weymouth (avoid rush hours!).It was fun having a spa bath in the bedroom - thought this was possible from an earlier review.Room was comfortable and well equipped.I would have appreciated some fruit at breakfast, but husband was very impressed to have carefully cooked haddock.It was great having access to bedroom through side door (room key unlocked it) without having to go through bar.

Busy Tuesday after Bank HolidayAn £80 Spacious Spa Bath room: yes, spacious, bright & clean, good quality DTV reception, but otherwise very sparsely furnished, two empty drawers & one 18 inch closet, no suitcase stand, one armchair. Spabath not been attended to for ever? when switched to spa it spewed forth quantities of black bits into the water. in the separate wash & toilet room, contra-rotating taps lethal into the tiny basin and horrid cheapest toilet paper. Breakfast good & generous, Dining room the previous night maincourses both DIRE, tough overcooked chops, hard dry chips, frozen peas. Thank goodness the starters were ok. overall, overpriced.

Great country pub with super food and monumental breakfasts.What a charming pub the Lugger is. The quality of the rooms were very good, with a smallish bathroom, but very, very clean. The bedroom was very nice and looked like a lot of thought had gone into the decoration. Tea, coffee etc was in the room as well as a very nice flat screen TV. The pub itself was charming with really good quality food. The breakfasts were awsome!! The staff were very attentive and described the guest ales in detail, even offering small samples.We will be definatly be using this accommodation again when in this area.

Great hotel for sighseeing in Dorset. The rooms were at the back of the hotel and had been recently renovated, they were spacious, clean and bright. The food was excellent, and we ended up eating in the restaurant on both nights. We would definitely all stay here again as it was a pleasant stay with very personalised and helpful service from the staff who accomodated all requests. The breakfast was also grwat, with genereous portions and a good selection. We will be back soon!

The very pleasent Lugger InnWe had two night stay at the Lugger inn, and we found it a very pleasant place to stay with out two young children, the staff are friendly the accomadation was perfect, the breakfast was one of the best i've had at a b&b, we ended up having our evening meals at the Lugger, the Steak and ale pie was mouth watering, if we go back to weymouth we will stay again. good value for money.

Puzzled!Excellent accommodation, and a lovely breakfast was had before our departure to Jersey from Weymouth.Our return ferry, due in at 23.30 was running about a half hour late, nevertheless, we arrived at the Lugger Inn at about 00.30 only to find nobody about and everywhere shut up shop.Admittedly, in retrospect, it would have been a lot less trouble for us had I rang from the ferry on my mobile once I had the UK signal.I am still puzzled though as to what happened and I can't understand what they thought we were doing.

Small Friendly InformalNice clean homely accomodation. Sound proofing isn't brilliant. Wouldn't want to stay on a lively night.Overall good value for money.Warm freindly welcome.Nice homely feel.

Room 3 had a double and single(family room) end of corridor, no view from the window. Caretaker has flat opposite and started his rounds around 3am!! in the morning, Also a slight buzzing from a fan ? through the night Overall pleasant owners. asked if everything was OK , food etc. How could they improve service etc. Nice pub atmosphere. They have 3 very well appointed self contained properties to rent next to the pub which were very well maintained and a very high standard should anyone wish to spent a week in the summer.
