Directions - when arriving from Denver International Airport: From DIA (airport) go west on E 78th Ave toward Tibet St. Merge onto Pena Blvd. toward airport exit. Merge onto I-70 W via the exit on the left (about 80 miles). Take the CO-9 S exit, exit 203, toward Frisco/Breckenridge (about 9 miles). The directions given from mapquest and similar programs are not correct and will take you on a very difficult road. As you arrive in Breckenridge continue on Main St. until you reach the final stop light of the town. There will be a Conoco gas station on your right hand side. Take a left at this light, the sign will read Boreas Pass Rd. as well as Broken Lance Rd. Continue up Boreas Pass for 2.2 miles. The Lodge will be on the right hand side. Take the second turn on Overlook Drive identified by The Lodge sign.

Very pet-friendly, close to hiking trails. The ceiling fan did not work in our room. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Breckenridge with pets.

Fantastic view and service, clean and comfortable room, complimentary shuttle into town or free summit stage local buses, only downside was no cooking or dining facilities and basic breakfast. Had a great stay.

The Lodge is overpriced for the poor service you receive when staying there. We checked in and everything appeared nice except our thermastat was broken. Our room was about 95-100 degrees all night and the front desk is not manned from 10pm - 7am so I had to call the "emergency number". The first try, I got some one's voicemail. The second try, I got someone who said maintenance wouldn't be available until 8am, meanwhile, it was 1am and I had no solution except to throw open the windows and regulate the room temperature with outside air (in February in Breckenridge). I was extremely disappointed with the customer service I received at 1am as well as at check-out. The front desk attendant, did not seem to know anything about the area when I asked about winter hikes and had no advice to offer. Also, he did not seem concerned about my frustration with the heater and uncomfortable evening at the Hotel. The hot tub was just okay and smelled a bit funny in the morning, not as fancy as I would expect for a place that refers to itself as The Lodge & Spa. Overall, disappointed with entire experience and way overpriced.

The mountain view rooms have a great view and nice balcony. However, the room was very dirty. The bathroom was small, outdated, and dirty. At this price I would stay somewhere else.

The Lodge at Breckenridge is a wonderful getaway with the best view of the ski slopes in Breckenridge. It is quiet and the staff are friendly. The price for the room was very good. We normally stay with friends in Breckenridge but we will probably be staying at the Lodge more often.

The decor in this hotel was beautiful! This hotel is located toward the top of Boreas Pass and overlooks the town of Breckenridge. The accommodations are beautiful with wood furniture so it looks as though you are really in Colorado. The linens were clean and comfy. The hotel is now under new management and will hopefully opening up their restaurant, fitness center and spa soon.

The rooms were a bit dated, but they were comfortable and clean. The restaraunt was a bit over priced for what it served. Kid friendly laid back atmosphere. Over all a great experience.

Breckenridge is, even in the summer a tourist town full of all the things we go on vacation for, except peace and quiet. The Breckenridge Lodge is all the restful quiet you'd want and need. We left our worries behind and truly rested. And what a location! Unparalleled views, the beautiful Rocky Mountains. Biking, hiking, and of course (in the winter) skiing!

The mountain view from my room was stellar! I visited the hotel off season, so I had it all to myself! It is based 2 miles up a road from town, which was perfect for writing. The view from the hotel is spectacular, the hot tub is a nice touch. My room was clean and well cared for. Aveda products are available for bath care. I had a kitchenette (microwave, fridge, sink and counters) and brought my own groceries for the weekend. The front desk is a lovely woman and made me feel very welcome.

My wife and I stayed at the Lodge for our 10th anniversary. The Hotel was wonderful. The room was nice and clean, and the satff was knowlddgeable about the town and willing to help. Based on some reviews I read, I expected the Lodge to be "past its prime". The Lodge is proudly in its Gollden Years and aging gracefully. I would absolutely stay again.

The hotel is located about 5-7 from the main street of Breck. It is up on Boreas pass. It is a very quiet and peaceful Hotel. The staff was very friendly to us. We brought our 2 little dogs with us which ended up working well. The hottub was nice but it is not open that late. If you like quiet romantic away from the town you will love the hotel. If you want action you might want to stay off of Main Street.

This hotel was not worth the money. You would be better off at a Motel 6 for half the price.Everything was run down, dirty or broken. In our room alone the window covering was busted, the lamp was broken, the shower was full of mold and the bedding was torn and dirty. Plus, there was no air conditioning and the room was 85 degrees during the day. The view was nice, but in Breckenridge you get a view almost anywhere. This hotel was way overpriced for what you got. As for service, everyone either didn't speak english or was 20 years old and really didn't care how your stay was. The only concern was to getyour credit card info. Never again.

The hotel had a good location in the mountains and offered a peaceful setting. We booked a Mt. view room and it does not offer a balcony. Careful w/ the windows as they do open, but there are NO screens. Bugs/birds can fly into your room. The shutters on the windows need repair/replace as there are slats that are missing. The hotel did not have a continental breakfast as noted. When asked about it there, the front desk said it was under construction/renovation yet there were no construction crews working/present during our stay and nothing was disturbed or evidence of construction. There was only 1 of 2 working hot tubs on site during our stay. They failed to clean our room one day. The room also comes w/ a fireplace (that did not work). It is also shown in the pics as well. When asked about it, we were told that Mt. view rooms have them, but are disconnected from use and they do not advertise as having them. Overall, it's peaceful and just a short 5 minute drive down the mountain into town. Not a kid or family friendly hotel. Had we known before about some of the problems and lack of breakfast served, we would have went somewhere else to stay, but since we were only in town for 4 days, it was not worth the hassle to switch hotels.

In previous years we have stayed at the same B&B, and they turned it into a rental house. We had the task of finding a new anniversary spot. I have had friends who stay at the lodge and enjoy it. I guess we were pretty spoiled because I was rather disappointed in our stay. For the same price we received a closed swimming pool, no lights in bathroom, bugs, unidentified material on the pillow shams. The lamps looked like they needed an easy shade replacement, the heater vents were coming off, no wash rags, and broken miscellaneous parts around the room. The first night I heard the vacuum down below in the spa at 10:30, the loudest vacuum it seemed. I have to be fair and tell you the good things about our stay. The bed was rather comfy, room was nice and dark, the staff was very friendly and did help with the lights right away and a request for an iron and board. Next year we will be on the search for a new location to spend our anniversary. I have filled out a comment card for the Lodge so that they might be able to fix these little things. Staff great but rooms and other areas of lodge are worn, tired and looks like they are being cheaply maintained. For the price I expected much more than this!

We stayed here because we wanted a relaxing vacation with beautiful views and a chance for some fun outdoor activities. The Lodge definitely delivered on these points. It's definitely what you would picture a mountain lodge to be. I would definitely recommend the mountain view rooms - there are spectacular views! The staff was friendly and the room was more than enough space for the two of us. We wanted to go hiking while we were in town, and we were close to many trails. The hotel is not right in town, but it's an easy drive down and I'm pretty sure there is a free shuttle that stops at the end of the driveway. We would have liked breakfast at the hotel, but they put out fresh fruit at least. The restaurant and spa were closed down for "renovations" (we spoke to someone in town who used to work at the spa there and he said he didn't believe they were actually renovating), so some spaces seemed deserted which was a little strange. There were two hot tubs on the deck that weren't necessarily the greatest things in the world, but definitely were wonderful to have after a long day of hiking. Overall, we had a great stay and really loved the room and the views.
