The Landis Taipei is simply the best, all because of the staff. It's the people that make the place. Style and content cater to different tastes but heart and soul cannot be denied. I've travelled the world and Landis Taipei is in my top five hotels. Thanks to all the fantastic staff.

Price. Lack of restaurant selection. Okay for a night or two but not good for customer meetings. Lobby not big enough to accommodate.

Service at this hotel is excellent, top noch. the rooms really are showing their age, we booked a suite which was very average and well used, would not rate it 5 star............sorry.

First let me I'm an American living abroad and have travelled much. As part of a tour package, my 2 sons and I got to stay at the Landis hotel. We were all delighted. The staff welcomed us and everytime we came back they'd open the door and say, "welcome back". Our room was immaculate with all the finest Asian extras (soaps, shampoos, comb, and of course a hair dryer). The staff actually came to our room to complete check-in...NO lines to wait in! On the desk were 3 packets which included personalized stationary and business card we could use to give to the taxi drivers to ensure we got back each evening. It made coming home from the night market easy. The extra amenities were great too. Since there were 3 in the party, they set up an extra bed that you would not know was just a cot. Breakfast was included in our package. It was one of the nicest breakfast buffets I ever saw. They had a concierge as many hotels do but they even there they kicked it up a notch. I asked about a place to find a rosary (not easy in a country that is primarily not Christian). When I returned from my trip, I had an envelope on my desk with typed information on how to get to 2 locations where I might find one. They'd even called to find out when they closed and attached a marked map so I could get there. To sum it up, the hotel and staff were some of the finest you will ever find. If we ever get to return, we will definitely stay there again.

The service was impeccable - gracious, helpful, imaginative, all levels of staff were clearly committed to the comfort of their guests. The Landis Hotel is a small, elegant hotel in a central location in Taipei. We have never had such attentive staff - from the doormen whose support included careful conversations/directions to taxi drivers to the concierge staff who were imaginative in their suggestions as well as extremely helpful in facilitating our personal interests. The room was lovely - comfortable beds, a small living/working space with internet connections and good lighting. Breakfast was a veritable feast and the French restaurant, Paris 1930, was sophisticated yet welcoming. We cannot imagine a more delightful place to stay.
