Mostly, just know the basics of the location before you stay at this hotel. We knew that Bourbon Street was wild during Mardi Gras, but news flash - its like that constantly. We arrived at 6pm on a Monday evening. We didn't see any parking near the hotel, so we had to hump our luggage through 4 blocks of the french quarter. The partyers were already hard at it - wandering in the middle of the street, drinking openly. There were half-naked strippers in doorways, and unsavory characters milling around. If your room is on the street side, prepare for noise until the wee hours. The hotel itself was adequate, but nothing special. No refrigerator or microwave unless requested; first come first serve.

Clean, and very good location to bourbon street. Elevators were small. My stay in new Orleans was quite pleasant thanks to the staff of this hotel. I am a diabetic so i always have to have my blood meter with me when I travel. We had to change rooms when we got there because they gave us a non smoking room. This hotel quickly and nicely set us up in a smoking room. In the haste of switching rooms my wife and myself bother forgot to grab it because we both thought the other had grabbed it. I notified the hotel staff, they resolved my bungling, found, and returned my meter quickly.

Location could not be better, right in the middle of Bourbon Street. Price was good & staff was helpful. They request the room key during night which i totally agree as its much safer. Noise was not an issue for us, probably because our room was on the 5th floor

The room was nice and clean. The hotel is renovating so due to loud hammering sleeping in wasn't possible. It's a great location but rather noisy at night due to being on Bourbon street. Overall a good hotel, just noisy.

Great Hotel, with a great location. You can pop in for a break, or sit in the bar to watch the people, rest, then go back out to the action. The location is everything with this hotel. Great pillows and beds, with a very nice pool. Might need a little more interaction from staff on where to go and how to get there, but we really didn't ask much either. Would highly recommend.

The Inn on Bourbon is by far the best hotel on Bourbon Street. The staff is exceptional and the location is superb. You will not get a better deal nor a better trip by staying anywhere else. We will definitely stay here every time we visit New Orleans.

Wonderful visit to the French Quarter for our first time. Hotel conveniently located within walkling distance of all of our 1st time must sees such as trip on the paddle boat, Cafe Du Monde, Aunt Sallys, Emeril's, shopping etc. Wish the hotel had better monitoring of noise on floors after 2:00 AM. Wouldn't want to stay on French Quarter during Mardi Gras unless there just to party!

Great location in the middle of Bourbon Street. Felt very safe going back late at night since I never had to walk down sidestreets. If you don't want to listen to the music and noise from the bars and stores, get a courtyard balcony. Not all rooms had refrigerators but all did have in-room safes, hairdryers and irons, which was great. Coffee maker was only a one-cupper. Ridiculous for a room with 2 double beds. The hotel info-book said free coffee was available till 2 pm in the Cafe, but when I went to the Cafe, was told it was $2.75 per cup. My clock radio was broke and it took two complaints to get it replaced. Each room had its own a/c controls and the shower head was fantastic! BUT it is a newer building, bug free, clean, great security especially in the evenings and as mentioned, prime location. These definately outweight any minor complaints I have. Also, was very easy to have access to a computer and the internet, at no charge.

We just returned from our visit to New Orleans Oct 6. To say the least, the hotel is not the quality we expected. Most of the workers are very friendly and helpful. first it was the noise in the hallways at night. Despite signs asking guests to be quiet, they are mostly ignored by some. We were not the only people complaining about this since the front desk seemed to be aware when we mentioned it. Our magnetic door key failed to work constantly even after maintainance worked on the lock and card reader. When we checked out, the front desk at first told us our bill was $400 more than it actually was. I had to show them the confirmation where the the charges had already been paid. Don't think we will book here our next trip.

Everything you would expect from a major hotel chain. But bring earplugs. Even though our room was off Bourbon and quiet in that respect, the walls are like toilet paper. Whispers from the next room are audible. Low converstion is understandable, and every hoot and hollar from drunks between 2 and 6 a.m. is like they are in the same room with you. But, what would one expect from a hotel in the French Quarter, on Bourbon Street?

nice hotel. only thing i did not like was being charged for bottle water on checkout. the water was in room when we checked in & replaced by maid service when room was cleaned and there was no charge ticket on water so we thought it came c room.

High quality look and feel for great price and good service. Hidden fees for parking and difficulty getting to parking garage. Very nice display and cleanliness of entire hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful with exceptional service. Very high quality bedding and materials used in rooms to promote luxury and quality at a great rate. Location was in the center of everything on Bourbon St. but one-way streets made it difficult and confusing to get to parking area but staff aided in reaching the proper destination. Very satisfied except for hidden fees for parking, but otherwise very satisfied.

We have been to New Oleans several times and stayed in a different hotel each time. This was the best stay so far. The Inn on Bourbon is in an excellent location. Right in the midst of all the great bars on Bourbon. The staff was great and very friendly and our room was always clean. The pool was very nice and had a little bar. The resturant at the hotel has a wonderful "southern" breakfast. Nice quiet bar in lobby. If you needed anything from room service or the staff, they were very quick to help you. Any of the staff we were in contact with was very pleasant. Can't wait to go back to the "Big Easy" and would recommend The Inn on Bourbon to everyone.

The hotel was exactly as we imagined it. It was tastefully decorated and still exuded 'Nawlin's charm. The staff was wonderful and the location couldn't be beat. It was right in the heart of Bourbon Street so we could go out and party and walk right back to our room whenever we pleased. The balcony was great! We could have our coffee in the morning and listen to some great jazz. Will definitely go back and stay here!

Perfect location for sight seeing on Bourbon Street. It was a charming little room with a great bath area. The only thing I would have appreciated would have been a mini fridge and microwave. And I feel I should have been informed of the parking fee. This hotel was gorgeous. You have to make sure that they are expecting you so that they will open the gate to the valet parking area. Parking is also something you will have to pay extra for. $25 a day. But it was worth it for safety reasons and convenience. This is a great party hotel, yet upscale enough for adults to enjoy.

I will keep this short. First of all wasn't aware that they would hold * on my debit card "in case the room was damaged". I have stayed at hotel which asked for a credit card but nothing was put on it until check out time, such as mini bar use, phone charges. My first card didn't go through. My friend was asleep up stairs and when he didn't answer the door right away the bellman let himself in and said that they needed another card immediately! When asked how much would be put on the car the girl at the desk replied "not sure" don' t know what we paid for the room but probably *. It was and deducted immediately from my debit card account. Needless to say, that was * less we had planned on using for vacation down there. We spoke to the girl at the desk on check out and she said most of the time they just add the hold without telling the customer, if they say something we say the computer automatically adds the charge on. Went to use the shower the first night, the spicket was stuck/frozen. Maintance had to come up and replace the spicket to turn on the shower which means the shower was probabaly never cleaned from the last people who stayed there. Went to grab a "clean" towel handing behind the toliet, lipstick and makeup on it... dirty towel. Big one the minibars in the rooms are locked they are in the process of new ones. The old ones damaged in flood and the girl staid some were so discusting. So no minibars in the rooms as their website says there are.

This was a get away vacation with friends. We loved the location of the hotel, the staff was extremely freindly and helpful. The pool was small, but fine for what we needed and it was clean and quiet. We only ate at the hotel restaurant once but it was adequate for the price. We loved the location - we had two adjoining balconies on Toulouse. It was fun watching the people go by on their way to Bourbon. Many characters. It was a little noisy only due to the garbage and delivery trucks early in the morning, but if you can handle that then this is a perfect place to stay and yes I would stay there again.
