Blow out of tire caused us to arrive late. No problem and staff was cordial.

The Inn at Nichols Village is a very pleasant facility in a quaint and convenient location. Our recent visit was the second time in a couple of years and each was very satisfying. During the first visit we stayed in the older, but very well kept section. The rooms are comfortable and offer a small patio area on the lower level. The original section is where the indoor pool and exercise facility is located and they're connected to the more modern area via a covered elevated walkway. The location is convenient relative to local attractions in Clark Summit and Scranton. The area has developed a bit since my childhood, but it retains its small town charm. The staff was very helpful and proactively offered to put us in a room with double queens (vs a single king) when they noticed that I was traveling with my two teenage sons--not a big thing, but it sets apart the very good from the good. The continental breakfast is new this visit. Nothing fancy, but a satisfying start to the day to be sure. The stay was made even better by virtue of the great rate that I was able to get. Reviews typically need the obligatory negative observation, but I'm coming up dry! Give the Inn at Nichols Village a try--I'm pretty sure you'll leave happy.

Basically this hotel is a 2 star with some 3 star amenities. It is quite dated and although the room is big it is a lot of wasted space. You feel like you stepped into what used to be a nice hotel around 20 years ago. Also my husband said the gym was substandard, but usable. Overall, I would recommend staying at a cheaper hotel in the area if you don't need a pool. Some plusesIt seems the attached restaurant is quite nice - someone was trying to buy a gift certificate for it when when checked in.The beds were quite comfortableMy husband said the pool was nice, but I did not see it.The greeting area is nicer than the actual rooms.

Exactly what we needed, close to the turnpike. Nice hotel and good value for the money.

It was built on a hill and very nicely landscaped. Rooms was not easy to access because of construction. It was fairly clean and the furniture in the room looked new, but the mattress were not. Area was under construction and the workers started early right outside our door in the hallway.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for one weekend last winter, and we are planning to go back in the beginning of October. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was a nice larger size. The staff was very friendly and accommodating! I myself booked through online travel website. Great value for a very nice hotel surrounded by many shopping and restaurant options!

The staff was friendly and very accomodating. We were pleased with the two rooms we reserved. We found plenty to do in the area and parking was never a problem when we returned to the hotel. The pool was a highlight for our grandkids. We found the rooms clean and very comfortable. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

We arrived at the hotel late (about 12:30 AM. When we got to our room, the room was dark, dirty. Bottom line was that we did not stay there and moved to another hotel in Scranton. The staff was helpful in helping us find another hotel and appologizxed for the inconvenience that we were caused. I would never stay at this hotel again.

Great priceline price. Great location, with surrounding businesses. Maid vacuuming at 8am in the hall way. Needs to be upgraded. Wallpaper coming off walls, heater covers hanging off, security doors open all night.

I stayed there in Feb. 2008 over President's Day weekend for a hockey tournament in the area. I found the Hotel to be very nice and the staff very accomodating. The restaurant was very upscale and the food was delish! The room was spacious, perfect for not having to climb over 2 hockey bags and equipment all weekend, and clean. The pool was great, but the breakfast by the pool was the highlight of our trip. They put out quite a spread. Everything from bagels, muffins and cereals to oatmeal, fruit bars and yogurts accompanied by very fresh fruit and plenty of it! Coffee, tea, hot chocolate and juices to boot! You will pay the same rate for other hotels in the area to get coffee and donuts. I am hoping our team rep chooses this hotel next February as we are already making plans to play in the local tournament again. Tip: If you're not a hockey fan...stay far away over the President's Day weekend. A lot of hockey families!

The most awful experience! We planned to stay for valentine's weekend, so I booked the room early October. I realized in December we couldn't make that date, I modified the reservation on their website. We were given in the incorrect room. They didn't bother to tell us. Their excuse was the room was double booked! DO NOT settle for the room next to the elevator! It sounds like an airplane is landing on your room! I complained and they said the room will be free, so I was happy, until... My credit card and my boyfriend?s card was charged.

Very nice location, nearby very good restaturants. Clean, good amenities and comforatable Staff front desk folks are not friendly, they didn't tell what is theier amenities and where they are. I seen other hotels, front desk staff very friendly, courteous. but I didn't like these staff. Hotel dine in didn't have much choices for food.

The bathroom was filled with hair, dried soap bubbles all over the shower with a used bar of soap still in the holder. It stank like smoke throughout the hotel. A massive cobweb adorned the window. The clockradio was flashing 12am when we arrived. When I complained they said there was nothing they could do because it was booked through [a third party]. Interent buyer BEWARE!
