This is the former Intourist hotel located in the heart of the city, the KGB monitoring equipment from the hotel is now in the nearby museumn. The rooms are large (ours had 3 beds)as are the corridors. The breakfast is good with a wide range of food (hot and cold) although sometimes replacing food was slow. Unfortunately the shower never got above tepid but otherwise the hotel was good for the price. The location means that you are right out in the centre but we never heard any noise at night (or was that the drink?).

There was a bad smell all over the hotel. Parking was offered in another hotel for 15 Euro when the other hotel charged 10 Euro for the service. Though the hotel stated that there was a sauna, it was only available free of charge from 08:00 hrs to 10:00 Hrs. I expect much more from a four star hotel.
