| This hotel is a very modern and comfortable. The parking garage is very usefully.Very professional staff.
It has a nice roof top restaurant, with terrace, I recommend going and eat a la carte, great food!
Ask for a superior room facing the marina the views are just fantastic over the city and the sea.
I would certainly stay there again! |

Very nice hotel. Very central. The Receptionists had very good English. Only thing missing in the room was tea & coffee facilities and a balcony. Very nice view from the rooftop restaurant.

The hotel is perfectly situated in the center of Faro, just a few minutes' walk from the historical old city. The room was clean, bright, and pleasant, with a good strong shower, a window that actually opened for fresh air, and a generous selection of TV channels in many languages. The Vodafone wifi internet access (available only to Vodafone subscribers, pre- or post-paid) worked very well. Two minor complaints: The carpeting in the room was a bit stained (but so what?) and the noise from partygoers in the pedestrian streets below was a little annoying from midnight until about 2am.

Excellently located hotel with the marina and town centre right on your doorstep and the bus and rail stations just a few minutes walk. Modern, smart decor, very clean and with helpful and efficient staff.Probably caters mostly for the business guest but also ideal for a 2 or 3 day break. Breakfast a bit chaotic when the hotel is full but this is only a very minor grumble. All in all, excellent and I would certainly stay there again if the occasion arose.

A superb location in Faro, overlooking the marina and the town square. With its own underground car park it was ideal for hiring a car. Right in the heart of Faro too. Excellent breakfasts. Would stay again, especially in December with all the Christmas lights and late shopping with red carpets in Faro.

We have only one remark: The rooms are lacking hooks on the walls for hanging up the clothes.

I stayed one night at this hotel on a business trip to Portugal and found out it is a good buy (84 euro per night). This hotel has excellent location, overlooking the marina and Faro monument. The monument is just within 5-10 minutes walking distance. Located in the heart of shopping area, it is convenient for shoppers. However, some street noise may penetrate into the room (which is the only minus I had). The shops are closed at 5-6 pm so at least the noise did not bother me at night. The receptionist is polite and knowledgeable. She gave me good suggestion on where to go during my limited time there. She also arranged the restaurant personnel to deliver my breakfast to my room at 9 pm for my early departure the next morning. The restaurant located at 4th floor offers great view and excellent food too. I will stay at this hotel next time I visit Faro.

We (grandparents, parents, baby) have stayed at the Faro Hotel in 2006 and 2008 and will go back there again when travelling to the Algarve. Service is excellent, the rooms are very clean, the hotel is in an excellent location when passing through Faro. We stayed in the same room facing a small side street, which is very quiet.

Very modern hotel with a bit odd architecture and difficult-to-find stairs. No "fire instructions" in the room. Most central hotel in Faro. Interesting boat trips in the National Park, esp. those with birdviewing and competent guides.

The hotel is at an excellent location; right in the heart of town. We were even more impressed by the interior design of the hotel. The furniture is modern but tasteful and all the artwork are quality originals (not tacky fakes!) Breakfast is FABULOUS - a 5-Star buffet(not just breakfast!)that would've been a $30-50.00 deal in the US! Most appreciated was excellent FRESH smoked salmon, fresh vegetables and fruits, etc. Also it's served on the 4th floor that has a huge balcony with great views of the city and the harbor. The hotel manager is extremely knowledgeable and gave excellent information! Also, I requested a view room looking out to the harbor and got it - w/o paying extra! This would also be an excellent hotel for corporate conferences, motivational meetings. Faro is a truly unique city and I did NOT miss the beach (e.g., Albufeira) at all!

The employees of the concierge are very nice. They explained us about the most beautiful beaches around Faro. Our room on the 2nd floor was too small and the landscape is very poor. Around the hotel there is a large plaza very crowded and very noisy: it's difficult to go sleeping early in the night! The breakfast is quite good, but there are a few tables to use.

The Hotel Faro is an excellant Hotel which is not matched by the staff. However the hotel and the surroundings more than make up for them!! The hotel is in a good location in that it's close to the train station, nightlife and cafe bars and shops of which you will find all the major brands. The taxi from the airport takes 10 mins and should not cost more than 10Euros.

Good, clean hotel close to Faro centre. A bit soulless, but the room was clean and comfortable, with a good view over the sea and with a stork's nest outside the window for company! The arrangement of street door, lift and reception desk means that one gets very little interaction with staff unless you need to ask something. Restaurant serves an excellent breakfast - probably a good dinner too, but there are more characterful restaurants in the town.
