Location was convenient to the convention center for a university graduation. The decorwas dated. This hotelwas walking distance to the convention center. Therewas a bar, located off the lobby, thatwas a convenient meeting place. The poolwas stark, clean but not inviting.

May is the month when the summer heat may begin -- or may not. Hotel rates are great, including at The Hotel Arizona, which is a beautiful pink building complete with a Spanish mural and nicely landscaped cacti out front. My room was huge, and the desk included an ever so handy lamp with extra plugs for a laptop. I liked the wireless connection, which required only one log-in for 3 days (even when I turned my laptop off). My room (602) had a small refrigerator, where I kept water, fruit, and the inevitable iced coffee from the Starbucks downstairs. Warning: the parking garage has no elevator (I had a brand new cast on my foot), but one can park on top (hot though) and go directly into a floor of the hotel and take the elevator. The elevators for the building seemed slow, but overall, it was a grand place to stay.

Staff was friendly. Housekeeping Good. Bathroom VERY Small. Over all nice experience. Except the Only Ice Machine that worked was on the 1st floor, there were machines one all floors ,,, no others worked ,,, we tried Every floor.

We stayed here for a weekend event that was occuring in the downtown area. This is my second stay there. The hotel is clean and the rooms are comfortable. Security was good, and the staff was very helpful and upbeat. Close proximity to downtown tucson events and eateries, and moderate price make this a great value.

The Hotel Arizona was very comfortable. They upgraded us to a larger room with a beautiful view. The rooms were quite and clean. My only complaint would be that the first cot they provided us was somewhat shaky and uncomfortable. When we asked for a new one however they promptly provided us with a much better cot.

Rooms are extremely dated. Pillows smelled and stained. I was not happy by the smell of the rooms and linens. Towels were old and stained. Hotel felt stuffy. Air conditioning was off even on the floors. Only running in the lobby. They ask you to turn off your AC when you leave the room. It is AZ and 90 degrees outside.

The hotel itself is OK with its star rating. However, the security is an issue there. My daughter's purse was stolen from room, which includes money, gift cards and ipod worth over 200. After we reported, we didn't get much help, neither from stuff nor from the general manager. The quality of their employees is questionable.

The beds were horrible like sleeping on ply wood. The towels were stained yellow and had a bad smell to them. Hotel staff very rude and slow.

The outside should have given us a clue as to what we saw on the inside. The entire building was old and run-down. The people at the front desk were unfriendly. The rug in the hallway as well as the one on our room floor was horribly disgusting. Keep your shoes on! The bathroom needed work, chipping plaster is not good for business. The curtains looked old and yellow. We were not about to order room service when the place looked so run down, who knows what the kitchen looked like. Awful place. Should be torn down and rebuilt. No wonder the price was so low. They also charged us * for two very short local phone calls.

The hotel was outstanding in service and the rooms were excellant. The location was perfect and easy to get to from the airport. The location right in the heart of downtown Tucson.

I stayed here on business and I had my family with me. The pool was opened and then closed for 3 days. My only problem was the hugh stains on the floor in our room. Housekeeping seem to only empty garbage and make the beds. It wasn't all bad. The food was good and the front desk staff was friendly. It seems like the hotel is known for their food. People come there to eat for lunch.

This hotel is a great and the service exceeded my expectations. I spent 3 days there. The first night, I was dissatisfied with my 1st floor room. It smelled like smoke (supposed to be nonsmoking and was noisy. It also had a peeling ceiling and cramped lay out. It was the last room available so they could not move me. The next morning, I called and asked to change rooms. I was instantly accommodated. A bellhop appeared at my door 1 minute later with my new room key. The move was effortless. The new room was clean-smelling, quiet and spacious. It was also well appointed and painted. I was quite happy with the outcome. I advise you to ask for a room higher up. The first floor has other amenities on it and that adds to the noise.

This hotel is in a nice location but is really run down. The first room we went to smelled really bad and had broken closet doors. The next room was better with a nice view. The room was just ok. The beds were hard and pillows flat.

Great view of city. Bathroom is tiny. Hotel is in a good location downtown. It has your typical hotel comforters and decorations. Although it could use an upgrade, the view and location were great.

The Hotel Arizona staff was exemplary! The room was much nicer than the rooms of the others I was traveling with. I was disappointed there was no fitness center. However, complimentary passes to the YMCA down the street were made available.
