Fast, friendly, and efficient check in. Enjoyed exploring New Brunswick. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. All in all, the Heldrich compares favorably with the better hotels I have stayed out both in the States and Europe.

Beautiful decor and a very pleasant staff. Great security. There is no shopping area even though it is downtown. Great place in a great location. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the area.

As a recent Rutgers grad, I stayed at the Heldrich for one night since all of my friends have moved out of the city. The hotel borders on a bad part of town, but overall I felt safe. I am VERY, VERY picky about hotel cleanliness and I was completely satisfied. Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was 14 for overnight (not 32) and a little out of the way - 29 for valet not worth it. Bar closed at 11:30 because they were "slow", which was a disappointment. I will definitely be back during football season.

The hotel is within walking distance of bars, resturants, and play houses. Bar area was very nice. The room was clean, and the beds were very comfortable. I would stay there again.

The room was very nice and bed was comfortable. The valet parking was very expensive $24 a night. The hotel is great, 9 floors. Rooms are spacious and bed is comfortable. The bathtub in bathroom was small. The pool was average. There is a small gym and spa. Spa services are expensive cheapest being $130. Valet parking is expensive $24 per night.

Hotel "looks good" on the outside, but serious cracks become evident quickly. Despite booking for multiple nights through hotel's own website, and having a printed confirmation, hotel check-in staff kept insisting we only booked for one night - had to argue for a while before they gave us a room for more than a night (however, they only programmed the room key for 1 night - so we were locked of room and had to have key re-programmed).Hotel has the gall to charge 32 for overnight parking (yes, 32 is not a typo) - the parking attendants should be wearing a mask and a gun. Paint chipping from the bathroom ceiling - for a hotel open less than a year, that should not happen. Insufficient hot water for shower/bath.It's not all bad - the room is generally fine and the bed is comfortable.Next time in the New Brunswick area, I'm staying elsewhere.

Very nice modern hotel. Price was great. However, room service breakfast for 1 person was $45.00. Parking was $27.00 for Valet. Pretty high for the area, but worth it.

Nice and new. Clean. Downtown location. Staff were helpful about parking on weekends (free street parking). We got to watch an arrest in action where the police held up the elevators and then the housekeeper chided us for using the stairs. Arrest was obviously out of the hotel's control.

Attractive with a friendly atmosphere. Pool was beautiful, but no changing room or bathroom & no water in work out room. This hotel had a nice, welcoming atmosphere. The room we had was very comfortable and had a pretty view of New Brunswick. The hotel staff was very accommodating and the bar menu had interesting choices.

The hotel itself was very nice. The parking is a bear. The staff was real eager to please.

Located in downtown New Brunswick, the location was perfect. Close to dining, shopping, entertainment, and the train station. Room was very clean, and staff was friendly and helpful.

Very friendly, helpful staff. Nice room. Business center open 24 hours. Nothing. Hotel was very nice. We arrived very late and staff was very helpful.

The hotel was nice enough but you have two options for parking. Valet it with the hotel for $24 a car since they have none of their own parking and must drive it to a lot. Or drive around the block and park in the public lot for $15 a day and then lug your luggage back to the hotel yourself! Next time I'd try the Hyatt, the only other game in town. Not sure what their situation is but... Heldrich should at least pay the $15 for their guests, and it would be a bonus if they could take your luggage from you too! Also, lackluster buffet.
