Great place to stay if you take the hint when there are earplugs in a bag on the bed. Didn't really bother us but it kept the boys up. We were on the third floor overlooking 14th St. and heard sirens and loud voices well into the night. Beautiful place though. They did a great job with the renovations and the service was really good.

Excellent staff, courteous and helpful. Had to pay for internet access.

Nice rooms, but lots of noice from both aircondition and road traffic. Location is very central. Easy access to metro.

Room was clean. Everything worked well. Beds were very comfortable. Lobby was pretty and inviting. Location was convenient to get to the Whitehouse and the rest of DC

Short walk to Metro stations (Blue and Orange Lines a block away, Red line three blocks) a plus, walks to National Mall and the Chinatown area not too lengthy either. Very quiet hotel, staff was courteous and the room was comfortable. Can't beat the location for the price.

The coffee maker was inconveniently placed and was pretty much relegated to the bathroom. The managers went out of their ways to be accommodating.

The place very well maintained. Rooms were a little small for what you got, but very nice furnishings to make up for that. Great staff, food was tasty. Within walking distance of a lot of attractions, and a few major metro stations. One criticism-- upon check in, they tried to tell me my room rate didn't include breakfast, despite the travel website's package's guarantee. But they qucikly fixed situation when I brought it to their attention, no arguments. Easily recommend them to anyone else.

Hotel was at an excellent location, only 10 to 15 minute walk to the White House and the mall. Hotel rooms are small but very clean and comfortable. Hotel staff were all very friendly and nice, and excellent at local recommendations for places to see or eat. It does get a little noisy at night if you are on the lower floors because there is 2 or 3 night clubs across the street and you can hear them late at night if they are a rowdy crowd.

It looks welcoming. Small rooms. The room was small but also there were many necessities missing. No bathroom fan, no microwave, no fridge. Things were way overpriced. $3.00 bottled water. The people were helpful but it was overpriced for what you actually get. It appears very upscale but it doesn't have the many amenities that are important.

This was all new to us, and it was GREAT. We took the train from Wmbg Va to Union Station, then caught the Metro to McPherson Sq. (with help from the Metro officer, who btw was extremely helpful) walked two blocks and there was the Hotel. Honestly, everyone was really helpful and pleasant. The room was CLEAN & really really nice. The little things (i.e. Starbucks coffee in the room, a sleep package, plush robe) were a nice touch. There WAS a continental breakfast on the 12th floor (use your room key to get up there, and no they dont tell you its there, but if you read the reviews...) There is a Starbucks behind CHECK IN desk (found that by mistake) and "14K" is a NICE restuarant ($$$). There are plenty of great places to eat and the front desk will give you a list if you ask :). If you're prepared to walk, you can see /fine even more than you planned on. We walked to EVERYTHING, and we were glad we did.

The hotel is obviously beautiful, no doubt, but the personality of the staff left a lot to be desired. Very little verbal exchange between waiter/waitress staff, did little to NO explaining of menu and would have liked to order a salad, but thought it came with meal. VERY, VERY, COLD. Ate supper twice at Hilton Garden Inn down the street because the staff is so,so friendly and bend over backwards for you. Great food too at a GOOD price too!! Also, one morning, housekeeping entered the room WITHOUT knocking! I was in my towel, husband in shower. I know she didn't knock because I was right next to door and would have heard it. At check-out, an extra "parking" charge of $35, which was impossible since we flew from WI. The front desk explained, "people forget their room number"??? Then shouldn't you give your NAME so there are no mix-ups? Someone got away with no charge for parking, I guess. Beautiful place, but do not ever forget that people save a long time to take a vacation and work very hard to spend their money. They expect good service for a hotel that is IN the people serving business. Most likely I would recommend the Hilton Garden Inn to friends for their friendly service, good food, and food prices and same close proximity versus The Hamilton.

Older but very clean. Congested lobby area. We enjoyed the stay and the people were very friendly. Excellent vacation.

A beautiful hotel with old world touches but modern convenience. Staff was helpful and friendly throughout. Room was very, very nice (if slightly small, but who stays in the room?) and comfortable. Hotel is quite family-friendly. Would also be great for business travelers. Restaurant and lounge service is also terrific but the food is fairly pedestrian. There are dozens of restaurants nearby; the subway is a single block away. With subway passes, we were able to get everywhere we wanted to go. Very reasonable rates for our stay and we will defintely stay again.

Beautiful hotel and clean rooms. The beds were very clean and soooo comfortable. We had a window view which was nice; however you could hear the street noise from people and sirens going on through the night into the early morning which made it difficult to sleep (but again, we were visiting during the 4th of July which would account for the party in the streets). The television in our room didn't work which was a small disappointment since we were tired and ready for bed. Overall, I am very satisfied with the room and beds were excellent, clean and comfortable.

One short block from the Metro. No cafe or casual dining. Crowne Hamilton met our expectations, plus. We were able to get close to all the locations we wanted to visit on the Metro which was just one short block away. The beds were very comfortable and although the room was small, it was comfortable and convenient for two.

I would definitely say here again. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to see the monuments and museums. (And of course, the White House) The rooms are very nice & clean and the staff is very courteous.

We really enjoyed our stay. Being able to walk to all of the attractions in downtown DC was invaluable, especially after the 4th of July fireworks. I did not envy the crowd trying to drive or get onto the Metro.

We were delighted to find in the room a sleep mask, ear plugs, lavender spray, great beds, and a relaxation CD with a CD player. The room may have been a little small for some people. We had to pay to use the computers in the business room. This hotel was a major part of a great four nights in Washington. The staff was unfailingly friendly and helpful. The rooms clean and beautifully decorated. There were five pillows on each bed, a pile of towels and Starbucks coffee in the bathroom. There were a robe and slippers to borrow and even an umbrella if you needed one.

The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Good size rooms, clean, helpfull staff. We were going to be late for a wedding because we got lost and the staff really helped us get their on time. The wedding was in another super rated hotel which I thought should take a few lessons from the Crowne Plaza. Very good value!!!

We've stayed two nights... But we could not get our reserved room type at either night, which made us awkward... We are told that distribution of the rooms are on a FIFS basis... If so, does early reservation make no sense? Except for that, all is great! Including the complimentary breakfast as compensation!
