The family run Gun Lodge Hotel offers a warm highland welcome. Conveniently situated a few minutes from the airport yet in a quiet historic village location a short walk to the sea front with stunning views over the Moray Firth the wildlife dolphins birds and deer is just some of what you can experience We are Currentley doing a rolling refurbishment in which we will be makeing the hotel Fully en-suite by the begining of 2012 giveing us 6 double En-suites and 5 Executive En-suites. We have just completed 3 new Ground floor rooms 1 of which is a fully disabled room. The Gun Lodge Hotel (formally known as Cromal lodge) was built just after fort George (in approx 1650) and was used by the officers and there families. It was then turned into a hotel in 1969. With its old world charm it offers a homely warm welcome and a family atmosphere. There is ample parking for guests and we have a secluded outside area for residents and fully licensed bars. With easy access to both the rugged Highlands and its cultural centre (Inverness) the Hotel accommodation offers guests an excellent base for organising your stay in this historic and romantic region. Inverness Airport is just two miles away and the main A96 Trunk road provides swift access to many local places of local interest.
