clean good quality hotel.excellent price for room.very good customer service.car parking easy and plentiful right outside hotel.we were given a family room-nice size,if i had to make one criticizm it would be that the bathroom needed a little work,otherwise excellent room for your money.

The GrovenorAs a last minute booking the standard of first appearances was excellent,the welcome was very warm,the help was first class but we had not been advised that our room was going to be a very small one!!According to the owners we should have been by laterooms also we were at the front of the hotel on the first floor and the noise of the road and seagulls was so bad we had no choice after a very sleepless night to close the window hence we sweltered !!! We would stay there again but would strongly advise finding out whereabouts the room is situated???

Excellent staff, nice location.The staff at the hotel were so nice and helpful both prior and during our stay - nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend this hotel to firends and stay there again myself.

A very friendly hotelA warm cheerful reception from the staff on our arrival. Lovely clean room, hotel lovely and bright just like its employees. Nice breakfast beautifully cooked (not greasy) had to wait a bit as hotel was full and we all arrive together, the staff were very apoligetic and worked as quick as they could( although some thought not quick enough!!)We apprecriated your efforts. It was nice to stay in a hotel where the staff had some conversation and were generally interested in your stay, thanks again will definatly use again and recommend.

June 2008Immediate room upgrade upon arrival so off to a good start. I ca't think 0f anything negative to be said, everything was fantastic. Location was ideal too just a few hundred yards from Plymouth Hoe.

The Best Hotel Experience in Plymouth (probably)Great welcome, fantastic managing couple who couldnt do more to help make this a great stay. At a great saving, this hotel had the exclusive feel of a boutique hotel. Room was v clean & just what was required. Position of Hotel is great, close to all areas, yet not bothered by traffic. Nothing was too much trouble.

THE GROSVENOR PLYMOUTH-MINI BREAKConsidering the owners only took over in october last year they have made many improvements.the bar ,reception and lounge area is modern ,airy,and comfortable.breakfast rooms are clean and well laid out,the choice of food is good and well presented.the bedrooms are roomy and clean including en-suit bathrooms.not all rooms have been refurbished as yet (including ours)but this should not affect anyones decision re staying at the hotel.the location is great being only 2 minutes walk onto the hoe and 10 minutes barbican and city centre.all the staff were very helpful and friendly.

An excellent experienceHotel was well placed for Plymouth. They have parking spaces around the back for 6 cars and reduced local street parking on the street should they be full.Met personally by the staff who notified us that a car parking space had just become available. Downstairs was very well presented - it had had the boutique makeover which was a refreshing change from the standard sea-side sixties look. Checkin desk also formed a well stocked bar and there was seating for many. The checkin person was well presented, welcoming and had a caring attitude. Room was spotless, standard small size for a hotel of this type but had bay window and wardrobe should you need it. Bathroom was ensuite with shower over bath. Hotel has free wi-fi and breakfast was locally sourced and served without delay.Only tiny gripe was toast was your standard 'cheap' sliced loaf... would have been nice to have had some proper bread. When in Plymouth next I will stay here again.

A Nice ExperienceThis is a very nice place to stay, ideal for business as the location is close to the town centre. The staff are very friendly and there is a great Thai restuarant just up the road. Highly recommended.

5 star service at 2 star pricesA quality hotel at a very reasonable price. Staff very friendly and efficient, room well equipped and nicely decorated. Brfeakfast first class - the nicest bacon I have tasted in a long time. I will definately stay here when I am next in Plymouth.

One of the friendliest hotels you'll stay in!All the staff were extremely attentive and couldn't do enough to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The hotel has undergone a recent renovation, and our room had been tastefully decorated. The hotel enjoys an excellent location just a few hundred yards from The Hoe, and the town/Barbican area is just a short walk away too. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone - it was a real pleasure to stay there.

I really liked this hotel. Parking is on the road (small car park available I believe) but not a problem as free after 6pm, and is closer than many hotel car parks!Location is superb, seconds from the Hoe, and 5 minutes walk to City Centre. Not having evening meal available is no problem as there are loads of eating choices nearby (including Thai restaurant almost next door.) Breakfast was great, and customer sevice was first class.Real gem of a hotel. My only dissapointment is that I am hardly ever in this area, so will not be able to stay here again for a while.

Good hotel to stop at en route to FranceWe stopped for a night before taking the ferry to France the next morning, The hotel is fairly close to the ferry terminal and worked out very well. The family room was a good size for us and our daughter and the staff were really friendly. Parking was a little difficult as we arrived late but we found somewhere in a nearby street. We left early so didn't get a chance to sample the breakfast.

Superb boutique hotelBooking on line can be a risk but booking through Laterooms.com was easy and I had a nice surprise when arriving at the Grovesner Plymouth Hotel; a boutique style hotel. The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful. The reception is well decorated and a pleasant place to meet up with business coleagues. The room was recently decorated and well appointed. This hotel is a stones throw away from the sea and a healthy walk along the front. To add to this there is a great Thai restaurant two doors along.
