A perfect place to stayAfter reading all the reviews about this place I thought surely no where can be that good.....I was wrong. From the very relaxed check-in experience in reception the service here was the ultimate, great staff, very well trained and friendly. We were upgraded to a suite which was pure luxury, patio leading out onto a roof garden, complimentary single malt to help you on your way, quite simply everything one could need.

I would stay at the Glasshouse again, and againWe both loved the Glasshouse. The room was spotless with no obvious evidence that anyone had ever slept there before us, which is exactly what I want from a room and have only experienced in Singapore. For anyone who expects the best, this is the place to stay. Given the rain, the large umbrella in our room was a blessing. We appreciated the calm, the excellent breakfast and wonderful service from the front door, to room cleaning, to breakfast staff. Everyone had a smile. We ate at the Scotsman, the sister hotel, a few minutes walk away and the quality of our meal complimented the hotel and helped to make our stay perfect. We also walked up to Arthur's seat with that umbrella, which is a 'must do' for any visitor fit enough to make the walk.

Fabulous!!We loved this hotel, the staff were so friendly and helpful and were very thoughtful of our 1 year old daughter. I would reccomend this hotel to anyone, even those with young children as the roof top garden provided an excellent space for our daughter to run round. Outstanding location for the city centre!Room service was efficent and the food was great. Mini bar is pricey but to be expected in a 5 star hotel! If we could say a bad thing it would be that the air conditioning is a tad noisy during the night but we'd definately go back regardless!!

Great Hotel, Great location, Roof Garden is Fabulous, relaxing chill-out area when the weather is good. All Staff friendly & very helpful. Parking a bit difficult to find, first time, and walk to hotel a bit confusing.

Loved it!!!!!!!Well what can I say, we had a excellent stay in the Glasshouse. I was a bit dubious with some of the comments that had been left but I couldn't fault the Glasshouse at all. This was my first stay in a 5* hotel and was very impressed the room was lovely and the staff very polite and helpful. My only wish was that I was staying longer. Definitely be booking again!

Great location, great breakfast, very very expensive as this was Heineken Cup Rugby weekend Had twin room with my son, nice and quiet, very well maintained. Lovely roof garden. Our room not ready at 2pm for check but bags brought up when went to the match. Fresh and clean

quirky but niceThis hotel was hard to find as its frontage is in a converted church but the interior is completely modern. The service was very good, even a little too attentive: I felt that the staff were trying very hard. The room was lovely, with the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in, and if the weather had been better we'd have made good use of the lovely landscaped terrace area. I was a little disappointed that there wasn't a restaurant or leisure facility on-site, and that the drinks in the 'honesty' bar were very overpriced - no wonder it was so underused. It also seems a little out-of-date to charge residents for wifi access. But still a very pleasant experience overall.

Haven of peace in the cityWe had a room overlooking the roof terrace which was a surprisingly peacfull open space with city views. This for us was a highlight of the brief visit. Staff were great and the only downside was the slightly tired look of carpets and some fittings in the entrance areas.

totally awesome!this was by far the very best hotel ive stayed in, and absolutely every aspect was faultless, whilst significantly more expensive than other hotels, the extra cost is totally justified, and the opulence of the hotel exudes every surface and wall, Its a contemporary masterclass that other hotels should aspire too.Pay the extra and be amazed! We are definately returning as soon as possible.

The glasshouse 03/09excellent customer service, room was spacious although i think we were the only room not to have a patio door, which was a shame given the great weather.

First-rate hotel!I booked the Glasshouse as a surprise for my partners birthday, and the hotel did not dissapoint. From the welcome at the entrance to checking out the staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, clean and the bed was very comfy indeed. We were in a deluxe room on the 3rd floor, and although there was a little noise coming in from the main road, it did not intrude or affect our stay.My only slight gripe was the cost of the breakfasts, which we decided to not have at the hotel, and find an alternative elsewhere. Overall though, a hotel which we would not hesitate to stay at again in the future!

Our StayFab hotel, total luxury and lovely staff who cater to your every need. We received a complimentary upgrade to a suite as it was my husbands birthday. Only one small point, breakfast was good but not worth £38. Great contemp place to stay and hope to return.

I was disappointed in the car parking arrangement as the multi storey car park near to the hotel was a long way to go alone with bags and no concierge facility was offered or available. The room was small and down even more stairs and the breakfast I orderd in my room had things missing and uncooked croissants.I pointed this out to the receptionist and said how my experience was not 5* but no offer other than an apology was made!

Luxury with comfortThis hotel , located bang in the centre of Edinburgh offers a feeling of luxury whilst remaining comfortable and unstuffy. The rooms are well appointed, the en-suites fabulous and the balconies facing onto roof gardens... lovely. The bar works on a honesty basis where you write what you had and room number.
