Upon check in i was given a card that said that there was going to a fee of 5.00 for hotel stuff. Stuff I wasn't nor did i use. When checking out I was charged 7.50, When i asked at the desk they said oh that was last years card and fee, we haven't updated the cards to reflect the new fees. They would not do any thing about it, Bad customer service. That night we ordered a movie for kids, The screen said 12.99. When checking out our bill was for 14.99, When i questioned the difference the guy said ok i will change that for you. Sounds like a scam to me?...... On top of all this I already put 30.00 on the counter to cover the charges, the guy looks at the money and says ok here is your receipt and your all set. Oh you want to pay cash? i filled out a comment card reguarding the matters and requested a response back from the manager and I still have not received any response. Check your bill very carefully so you don't fall prey to the overcharging scams this hotels loves to do. The rooms were a bit smaller then what i am used to but very clean. Excellent tv's, but were a little to soft for my likings. i personally won't stay here again, but that doesn't mean you don't have to. Just be careful.

The air conditioner did not work in our rooms - it was 80 degrees at night. Hot and miserable.

I only stayed there because I had to, but will search for another hotel when possible. Issues were:1. Room that was supposively blocked and reserved due to previous problems was not available upon arrival.2. Critter cafe has an automatic / mandatory 18% gratuity charge that is not stated anywhere on the menu, signs etc.. and only when presented with the bill ( I ate alone). Service was poor.3. They now charge for any 800 number ( though it is not posted on the phone )- When questioned on this, they said it is my responsibility to read the guest service book in each room.4. Their guest service book states that newspapers would be delivered to the room daily, but in fact one must go down to the lobby to get one ( thus having to dress to get a paper to read in your room). - when questioned why they expect one to follow the guest book ( see # 3) but they do not follow what they say in what service they would provide.5. When you sign in you are not TOLD about the extra 7.50 per day fee that is added on, just asked to initial a small box that is in small print in the middle of the page and sign at the bottom for your room. They explain everything else except this fee.6. They want 6.15 for 15 minutes to use the computer in the business center. Rip off city. Its slow and unreliable I did fill out a comment card with contact info and they never contacted me. This hotel is privately owned so they have no higher management to appeal to nor have to answer to, so good luck on expecting issues to be resolved.

Nice hotel, though certainly not an airport hotel ($27 cab ride!). Hard to find by address. Watch for extra fees. It is actually attached to the mall, like an anchor store would be, so if you're coming to Orlando to go this mall, I suppose it's some kind of dream, but otherwise, it was nice, but very hard to locate. Staff super nice.

Everything about The Florida Hotel was excellant except the * so call room service charge for stuff you don't need to maybe don't want. (water, internet, etc.) Weathe you use it or not. I did complain to the front desk and received a nice smile, and a sorry about that, have a nice day. Other than that it was great and look forward to staying there in the future.

I was only staying overnight so a $7.50 resort fee really stung. This is not a resort. I got two bottles of water and a newspaper or my 7.50 resort fee.

i made a reservation a few days prior of arrival. when i checked in they quoted me a different price than the price i was given over the phone. i had to put up a fight for the price i was quoted. after speaking to a manager they gave me my original quote. the room was a little small, the bathroom was a little too small, and the bed was hard. however, the flat screen tv was great. i had a view of the mall and it was quite cool. staying in a hotel connected to the mall was great!

This was an excellent hotel and the area it is in was great. The Florida Shopping mall, the convenience of food. The stay was a very pleasant experience one to be repeated.

What a nice treat to have this hotel connected to the Florida Mall. There was a Starbucks right in the lobby area which was great. However, room service could be improved. They never made up our beds or replaced our towels. Call room service waited about 45 mins and had to call again. Hard beds and very small pillows.

This should not be considered an airport hotel. It is 8 miles from the airport and as such does not offer airport transportation. The surrounding neighborhood is questionable at best! I would not recommend to this hotel to any solo business traveler seeking an airport locale.

This was an average, older hotel with a good location. If you love to shop, this hotel is part of the Florida Mall so you can shop until you drop. The service wasn't that good and the rooms were small and bathrooms old. The public areas are in decline. Beds were ok but air didn't work right. Flat screen TV's in the room. Good for one night or business travelers. Close to airport.

The overall experience was fair. I liked the cleanliness of the rooms and the hotel. The service from the staff was good although we couldn't find the valet driver at 4:00 am. The desk clerk ran and got the car instead.

This was a nice hotel, though it was very busy with lots of kids that were all in the hall till late at night talking and yelling very loudly. Also, I don't consider this an airport hotel, there is no hotel shuttle and I had to take the bus to get there which is not as convenient as the other "airport" hotels.

It was a little hard to find the hotel in the maze of the Florida Mall. I had printed out a picture of it so we recognized it in the distance and wound our way around the Mall. In the early morning darkness, we had trouble finding our way out of the Mall to the highway. It was also a little far from the airport. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the hotel in general. It was pouring rain outside and choosing to eat at the hotel that evening proved to be a very good experience. Even the Grill staff was professional and friendly! I would stay there again now that we know the way.

The hotel is nice. Its amenities are less than expected. While it was nice to be located attached to the large mall, this hotel is over 6 miles from the airport and has no airport shuttle. When I purchased a room, I specified a hotel near the airport - and I expected to have a shuttle to/from the airport. Perhaps this hotel should be listed in the sea World or Disney area (as it is closer to both of these attractions than the airport). I feel that being stuck at the airport was unacceptable.

I will not hesitate to recommend this hotel. It exceeded my expectations in every way. This is one best kept secret for the business traveler and the family. There is enough space for both groups.

Don't stay there if you are trying to stay near the airport overnight. Too far away and transfers there are outrageous.

Value for the money was excellent. Hotel staff was very nice. I did not meet a staff member that was negative or unfriendly. This hotel served our purposes.
