From check-in to check-out, the entire staff of the Hamilton Princess were very friendly and helpful. They truly seemed proud of their hotel and the history of their island, which is celebrating its 400th anniversary.

when we arrived we were suprised to find out that there wasn't any beaches. Most people come to Bermuda for the Beaches. It should be noted that if you want a beach you should go to the sister hotel at Fairmount South Hampton. That way others won't make the same mistake. It should be noted that the Fairmount Hamilton Princess is strictly a Business Hotel, not for a family vacation

Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Expensive. Beautiful hotel with lovely pool and grounds, but expensive for food drinks, etc.

This Hotel was absolutely fabulous and service was first class! From the bell man who met us at the door, to the check-in, housekeeping, the concierge who helped us make reservations, and performed many services to help make our stay wonderful. I can not say enough nice things about everyone that we encountered in this hotel. Each and everyone did their part in making our stay very special. Thank you!

My wife, my infant son (14 months) and I stayed at the hotel 4 nights in mid-July and the location of the Fairmont Hamilton was perfect for our purposes. We were never too far from stores where we could buy milk, water and snacks for my young son and ourselves. Additionally the hotel has a free ferry service that links to their sister hotel in Southampton and the associated beach nearby. Given how warm it was in Bermuda during our stay we spent a lot of time either in the Fairmont Hamilton saltwater pool or in the ocean at the Southampton location. My son loved the beach and my wife and I were able to enjoy some much needed R&R. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and for the most part very helpful. Only complaints were (i) that the hotel could not accommodate us in the room we'd reserved for our first night's stay. The hotel upgraded us to a more expensive room but did not suit our purposes as what we needed was a room with a balcony (as booked) so we could sit outside once our son went to sleep for the night. (ii) Cost - Bermuda charges Manhattan prices in general but to provide a gauge on the cost of the hotel fare, a full breakfast for two at the Fairmont ran to $65 (includes gratuity, which seems to be an automatic addition to every bill for services in Bermuda)

It was great to be able to walk into Hamilton, having my 18 year old daughter with me, she loved that! Also easy access to the ferry to the So. Hampton Princess and the beachs.

Just returned from the Hamilton Princess after a week stay. Staff were very friendly & accomodating, but the main restaurant and terrace restaurant were closed for renovation. Hotel did not alert us to that prior to arrival or in check-in. We would have booked elsewhere, since this left only the bar for any meals- which had a limited, barbeque oriented menu. Travelling with my 82 yr old mother, we chose the Princess because we needed a full service hotel with dinner on site. Be aware, the restaurant may reopen by this week, but it was a serious limitation for us. Otherwise, our stay was nice- bathroom sink and toilet leaked water, room needed a bit of repair, but balcony view was awesome.

The Fairmount Princess is a beautiful hotel in a great location. We wished the ferry service to the sister hotel on the beach side ran more frequently. It was difficult to have dinner over there since the last ferry left the water dock at 6:15. It does take about a half hour to cross over also. You need to plan ahead to make the ferries.

The hotel is situated in Hamilton which is a big plus. The shuttle to Fairmont Southampton was very convenient for us to get to the beach. The hotel room was average, noisy (next to a very noisy elevator) and relatively small for an expensive hotel. There was no complimentary breakfast and the bar/restaurants in the hotel were very expensive, as is Bermuda in general.

This was my first time in Bermuda, and mostly because of the wonderful staff at the Fairmont Hamilton Princesss, it wont be my last. The moment me and my girl arrived at the Hotel, we where treated like royalty. The hotel is beautiful, as is the rest of the town. For anyone who loves sea food, make sure you go to the Lobster pot located with-in walking distance of the hotel. Fairmont Princess, I'll be back.

We found the hotel to be great. The hotel booked was not in a great location nor as nice as the main area of the hotel. The food was great very expensive. I loved the Island and wish I spent more time there however the package was a short trip. Overall i had a great time.

The location was the best, just a couple of blocks from downtown Hamilton! The room was nice (not Ritz Carleton, but better than Motel 8). Although they didn't have a beach it was no problem catching the shuttle over to the other property. This is good for those of us who love the beach but want to do other things as well. The restaurants, gym, etc. were great. The staff was always helpful and happy. They were always eager to help. Bottom line... It was wonderful. I honestly have nothing bad to say... except for the fact that Bermuda is THE most expensive island I have ever visited. But it's also the most beautiful.

My daughter and I stayed at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess for the first time. Our room was lovely, the staff helpful and friendly, and the food delicious and beautifully presented. Our favorite time each day was high tea. We definitely will stay there when we return to Bermuda again.

Bermuda is the perfect destination for a single woman traveling alone, and the Fairmont Hamilton Princess was a very wise choice. The staff is cordial, attentive and helpful. The concierge is informative. The hotel location is central with great access to ferries, bus depot, restaurants and shopping within walking distance. I took advantage of the ferry to the Dockyard, and the bus to the Botanical Gardens. I walked to all the shops and some restaurants in Hamilton, so that I was never restricted to the hotel grounds. Bermuda is very safe and welcoming to all visitors, as is the Hamilton Princess.

It had been 10 years since our last trip to Bermuda. We were very glad to get a special deal at the Hamilton Princess. Upon our arrival to Bermuda, we were told that there were NO shuttle from the airport to the Princess. So, budget a $$ taxi fare each way from your trip in and out of Bermuda. The Faimony Princess is a beautiful, classy hotel. It gives you a prism to look into the past of Bermuda. Elegant, stylish and clean. We were welcomed at the door by a nice gentlemen who helped us with our bags. The check-in was a little less than welcomeing. The lady at check-in was too mechanical and like a robot with no emotion. Not very welcoming. However, after that, I thought ,for the most part, everyone was friendly. Keep in mind, that you will have a charge on your room for a daily tip, $$/pp/per day. Also, tip is included on your drink and food tab at all restaurants in Bermuda. In some cases, the 15% charged was TOO MUCH. Service in Bermuda has fallen off in the last 10 years. Overall, I would stay at the Hamilton Princess agin, even thouhg Bermuda is not what it once was. Case in point, one of the rooms was broken into during our visiting. In the "old Bermuda" ,that would not have happened.

We enjoyed the salt water pool and view out into the bay.I also enjoyed using the putting green located near the pool, nice touch for golfer's and others. We stayed at the South Hamiton Princess last time we visited the island, about two years ago and we all agreed that the South Hamilton Princess Hotel was a little nicer as far as the views of the golf course and ocean and also the inside of the hotel.

Great time the Tall Ships were in! Only drawback it was a holiday week-end and the stores were closed. No shopping.

Rarely have I found friendlier and more helpful staff. The five days we were at the Princess, we could not rate the staff higher! The room was excellent, the only thing that could have been improved was the comfort of the bed. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't perfect as everything else was. THe hotel is within short walking distance of a number of great restaurants, the water taxis, and just a bit farther away, the main bus terminal, as well as shopping and cultural areas. We'd stay again in a New York minute!!

This was a perfect location/great home base for the trip. It was just a few blocks from the shops and restaurants in Hamilton, which is the heart of the island. Most other resorts would require an expensive cab ride into town, or inconvenient bus ride. During the day - take scooters or the complimentary ferry to the beach side of the island for the best of both worlds. Fun to be right at the harbor to watch the boats go by while enjoying a rum punch at either of the two pools. Good service and very clean.
