Ideally located near the town centre and train station. The Faculty is only five minutes away from the Oracle shopping centre which offers a large variety of shops, bars and restaurants. Also nearby for your relaxation & entertainment are Vue cinemas and The Hexagon theatre. Comprehensive local transport network guarantees easy access to Reading & it's outlying business parks. London Paddington is just a 25 minute train journey from Reading Mainline Station and Heathrow is just 40 minutes away by coach.

Faculty Apartment No 9It is a real home from home (or apartment from home!). I only stayed one night but I could imagine staying longer would be fine. Double bed comfy, shower room/toilet, lounge and kitchen. Lounge had a double leather sofa and a tall table that 2 could eat on. I got a takeaway from Alamin restaurant which was not the best I hav had but very nice, got them to deliver which you would have to look up details for.Pub next door called the turks, didn't try but looked busy so must be good?! Only downside is the apartments are close to a busy road so if you are a light sleeper and need windows open that might affect you.Widescreen tv, freeview, hifi, dvd player and a shared dvd library with the other apartments are all good points. Wifi didn't work and another guest complained about that not working for a few days and it still not working despite calling about it, which is disappointing service and would've frustrated if I had stayed there longer. There is also a full kitchen (Hob, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, washing machine, iron & board, cutlery, glasses, pots). Also all linen provided i.e. towels, bath mat (no bath in this apartment)The power went off for all apartments which was an electric board problem. In fact it wasn't just us affected). With there not being a staff presence at the apartments I thought "what to do" but there is an information book provided which is handy for local amenities and also includes a 24hr contact number. They were very helpful and nice about it so I would trust them again if I stayed there to be on hand if necessary (Berkshire Apartment Services)

Access arrangementsAccess arrangements sent by email to gain entry to the building, where there is a safe on the wall containing a named envelope with keys to the allocated apartment. Everything fine until the safe where the wrong code had been printed on.

Super apartments; very clean and modern and spacious - much better than a hotel! The DVD library is handy plus there is a grocery store and two take aways nearby if you don't fancy cooking yourself. I managed to lock myself out of the apartment and they sorted it out in a jiffy, which was impressive. I'd happily stay again...

I had a WONDERFUL stay at The Faculty. As the website photo's show, the apartments are absolutely lovely. It's a true home-from-home and immaculately presented. The DVD library is a great idea and I made good use of it. I have already recommended the apartments to my colleagues and look forward to staying again soon. THANK YOU!

Access to the apartment was a breeze, extended stay was no problem. Had all the facilities I needed, and is well placed near to the town centre, Highly recommended alternative to a hotel stay.

Traffic on the London road at rush hour meant getting there was a bit of a pain and finding it wasn't easy but it was worth it. So much nicer than a hotel.

All the staff were great, very helpful and friendly. Apartment was clean with large rooms, had all the amenities you would expect. Had a large TV, stereo, ironing board, kettle, toaster etc. Would definitely stay again.

Difficult to find entrance. Directions would be more helpful if they told you to turn right before the apartment building into East Street. We were initially given keys to an apartment that had not been cleaned. This was initially shocking but a phone call resolved the situation quickly and we were directed to another apartment that was clean.

Hotel was easy enough to find, and the car parking arrangements were good, with a private space allocated to me. The DVD player in the room, and selection of DVD titles available to residents was a great idea, but the Freeview box provided didn't work.All in all, not bad for the money.

This is not a hotel, but a fab clean apartment. Ideal for a family or people requiring more than one room. Menu's and cab numbers available in the entrance. The DVD collection was a brilliant idea. Beds were extremley comfortable.

Fantastic value for money, a Hotel room with a separate Kitchen and Living room. 2 minutes from all of the trendy bars and food. Staff were great to deal with, would not hesitate going back or recommending.

I found my stay to be excellent at these apartments and would recommend to anyone. The only negative I do have was with regards the parking facilities. When my confirmation came through it stated about the parking, however, it was my fault but I didn't read that part. I managed to park my vehicle however other people did have dificulty as not very many spaces for the amount of rooms.apartments in block, this could possibly become a problem. The contact however, did there best to please everyone.

My girlfriend and I were very satisfied with the accommodation and service. Based on the LateRooms rate we paid (approx 100 GBP per night) the value was good as well. Only slight drawback was that our bedroom and living room were on a busy street.

This was a serviced apartment in a quiet, new block near the heart of Reading City centre. The apartment was very new and very well kitted out. The decor and furniture was to a very high stanard and given its location, was great value for money and so easy to book. There is also a car parking space if required. Would stay there again and would highly recommend to others
