The Cromwell Arms is an old coaching inn situated in the heart of Bovey Tracey – ‘The Gateway to Dartmoor’.The Cromwell Arms is run privately, with much of the building dating back to the 16th century, and there are many reminders of the civil war period – when Cromwell’s troops were encamped in the area – around the inn. Modernised over the years, but retaining much of the old character, we now have an AA 3 star inn rating from April 2009. All rooms are en-suite with colour TVs showing a selection of free view channels, direct dial telephones, tea and coffee making facilities and hairdryers in all bathrooms. Rooms are available all year, with the exception of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (New Year's Eve is and all include a choice of full English or continental breakfast in the room tariff. Outside we have a patio area, a lawned beer garden with pagoda and benches and views over Dartmoor. Private parking for over 20 vehicles. Whether on business or at leisure, The Cromwell Arms will always offer a warm welcome to one of the most beautiful parts of the country, and we will do all we can to make your stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible.
