The hotel nestles on a pink sand crescent beach: world-famous Crane Beach that is protected by a natural coral reef. Facilities
This hotel is the first Caribbean resort and offers an enchanting ambience. The truly unique property combines elegance, old-world charm and incredible natural beauty with a romantic sense of seclusion, creating a feeling among guests of having retreated to a spot on earth where life is truly simple. Built in 1887 and since fully restored, the hotel comprises 12 floors with a total of 150 rooms. Facilities include a foyer with a 24-hour reception desk, a safe, a currency exchange desk, a cloakroom and a lift in addition to a cafe, a newspaper stand a hairdressing salon, a casino, a games room, a restaurant, Internet access and conference facilities. Younger guests are able to participate in the kids' club activities and there is a laundry service to take advantage of. Those arriving by car are able to make use of the hotel car park.
Rooms
Each of the rooms comes with hardwood floors, antique furniture, a bathroom with a hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV, a radio, an Internet connection, a small fridge, a washing machine, ironing equipment, a double or king-sized bed and a hire safe. Individually controllable air conditioning features as standard and many of the rooms also have a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge, oven, microwave and tea and coffee making facilities as well as a wrap-around balcony with spectacular sea views.
Sports/Entertainment
The friendly reception staff are on hand to organise water sports, tennis, golf and other sporting activities, as well as island tours, sailing trips, dinner shows and car rental. There is a swimming pool, a poolside snack bar and a sun terrace where sun loungers have been laid out ready for use in the outdoor complex. It is possible to kick back and relax in the hotel Jacuzzi and an entertainment programme provides some variation and amusement for guests both young and old.
Meals
A hearty breakfast is on offer to guests each morning; lunch and the evening meal may be taken a la carte or selected from a menu whilst the midday meal may alternatively be chosen from a buffet.

What are your breakfast options?: We do serve a buffet breakfast from 7:00 am - 11:00 am.
What transport is available to get around?: You can get to/from Bridgetown, airport, markets and beach by taking a taxi or the local bus.
What can I do nearby?: With reference to activities, one of the favorite things to do is take a sail on a Catamaran. This package is fantastic! They pick you up at the hotel and take you down to the dock where you board and they serve something for breakfast (some serve Champagne & Orange Juice, some banana bread, coffee or tea) and then they set sail up to the West coast of the island where you stop to swim with some very large turtles. The crew on the boat feed these turtles daily and they stay around the boat so that you can swim with them. Then they make a stop to swim and snorkel and then another stop to have a beautiful buffet lunch. All drinks, lunch and snorkel equipment. are included. The price ranges from $85 - $110 US and they operate daily.

Other activities include:

- Tropical Spectacular Roots & Rhythms Dinner/Show - includes transfers, drinks all night, buffet dinner and a show. The show starts with a Steel Pan Band, and then a great cabaret with beautiful costumes and great dancing. After the show one of our best vocalist on the island sings a few songs for everyone's dancing pleasure. The cost is $98.00 US and it operates on Wednesday and Friday.

- 4x4 Jeep Tour - Another great tour! A little different, it travels off road - quite exciting and picturesque and makes a stop at the Welchman Hall Gulley and then over to the East Coast for a buffet lunch overlooking beautiful Bathsheba. The price is $85 US and operates different days weekly.

- Horseback riding - you can do this any day - usually for 1 to 1 1/2 hours at a rate of approx $75.00 US. The rides include a country ride and a country beach ride.

- Island Tour: a beautiful tour that takes you through each parish called the 360 tour. See beautiful scenery from north, to south to East and West, which includes lunch at a local restaurant. The cost of this is BDS$140.00 per person.

* Atlantis Submarine - a real submarine that dives to 130 ft. They also have a night tour which is very exciting.
* Aeriel Trek (Zip Line) - our newest adventure
Do you have internet?: Wireless internet is available in the rooms and throughout the resort free of cost. However, there are some hot spots and some cold spots and as a result you may have to use an internet cable which is available from the front desk. We also have terminals available in the lobby for you to use.
Do you provide parking?: We do have parking available at the resort if you choose to hire a car.
