What did we Like?...you mean the dirty floors, strong cat pee smell in hall leading to beach, unsanitary looking indoor pool, overflowing and stinking garbage cans in stairwells, smokers hanging out at building entrances, rude, nasty-spirited and uncaring hotel staff, fans not dusted since hotel built, backed-up kitchen sink, doors coming off hinges or the great view of the cheap hotel and garbage dumpster next door? So much to choose from...Go to any of the timeshares north of this location and walk in. You will most likely find a timeshare available from better educated and appreciative staff who don't call a metal building their home. Mostly Travel writing "contributors" giving this place good reviews, but I wish we had given more consideration to the bad reviews which turned out to be accurate. Cove at Ormond Beach...Thanks, but no thanks!

Our trip was a wonderful vacation for our family. I feel the pool was great for the little children it was only 3 ft. deep. I feel maybe in the future The cove can have a pool put in for the adults as well. The hotel was in a good location and was right on the beach. Anywhere else I have stayed offers housekeeping daily without charging you for it per day and usually local calls are free where here I got charged $.75 a call. The rooms are very nice and are clean. I would recommend The cove on Ormond Beach to everyone. Just read the whole guest book rules before doing anything. Wonderful trip for us. Some of the staff was a bit unfriendly but the ones who were nice made up for them who weren't. I would stay again.

We went on a family vacation and had a lovely stay. The hotel does not provide alot of luxuries as a 4 star hotel but overall it was a nice hotel. Upon checking in, the staff was not that friendly but seemed fruastrated with checking people in. Room was not ready upon checkin at 4pm and had a wait a little while for final inspection to be completed. The weight room was almost nonexistant because it only supplied 3 machines to work on. The rooms however was nice and clean and supplied what we needed for our stay. I would visit again because the beach was nice.

This was just the perfect resort for our vacation. My kids are 15, 13 and 10 and they were never at a loss for something to do. The beach is great and the pool was refreshing. Security walked the parking lot throughout the night making a safe enviroment for everyone. The room was better than I would have ever dreamed. 2 bedrooms on opposite sides of the suite. 3 flat screen plasma tv's, one in each room. The washer and dryer make keeping clothes clean a breeze. The balconies offered nice views of the ocean and a relaxing enviroment to just sit and relax. We will be staying here again next year! You couldn't ask for a better place to stay.

My husband and I stayed at The Cove on Ormond with our 22 month old daughter and my parents and couldn't have asked for anything better. The rooms were very clean and roomy, we loved the full kitchens and jacuzzi style tub. The pool was very kid friendly, our daughter loved it! The veiw of the ocean from our room was amazing, we seen dolphins almost every morning. I would defintely recommend this hotel to anyone, I know we will be staying here again when we return next year!

Family oriented hotel with a great beach and pool. Convient location, rooms being renovated but comfortable. Coffee maker was broken and front desk replaced it within minutes.

Our trip was great, the cove was very clean with a great pool area, has a game room, gym, activities director, and you can walk directly onto the beach. Great for a couple or family with kids. Would return.

We went to Daytona for the races, so we didn't spend much time in the room. My daughter is 14 and she had a great time at the pool, she loved the water slide. The view was really nice too. We would definatley stay there again.

My husband and I had such a wonderful time at The Cove. We spent a majority of the time soaking up the sun down by the ocean as well as in the pool. We had a one bedroom condo in the north tower. The room was so nice and clean, it looked very modern. We also had a great view of the pool and our balcony from our room! The pool was really fun! They provide floaties for the slide and lazy river. They also provide chairs and umbrellas for the pool as well as the beach. You do have to get up early to get them! They get taken fast. The hotel staff was very nice! We go there early (on Memorial Day) and we we able to check in a little early as well. The exterior of the north tower needs some paint, I dont know if they were getting ready to do that, but dont be fooled, the inside was great! There is also an activities director that will help you book activities and provides various activities throughout the week! Over all, and AMAZING stay! We plan to go back in the future!

We had a wonderful stay at The Cove. Rooms were the cleanest I've ever seen in my travels. The beach was not as well groomed as Daytona but was an overall great time.

The rooms seem to be well maintained but we looked forward to having a balcony we could sit on in the evenings to watch the beach. We stayed at this place 2 years ago and even though the balcony didn't directly face the ocean, it was still a nice view. This time, we were on the bottom floor and the balcony had cars from the parking lot right up against it. We tried to change rooms but couldn't. The pool is nice but closes at 8:30PM which is way too early. Some of the parking spaces were blocked off because of "maintenance" but there was no maintenance being done to the blocked off spaces. Not sure what that was about.

"Excellent Facility, Extra Nice Condo's - Great for Families - The Beach itself was not as well groomed as neighboring Daytona - But a great family atmosphere - No Bar - No Smoking - No Wild Parties"

we were very happy with our room and location. It is so nice to sleep with the slider open listening to the ocean. we were close to daytona raceway, the chocolate factory, the fleemarket and shopping. The rooms are very beautiful and fully furnished. It is great to have a fridge and stove also a washer and dryer. This is the perfect getaway. Loved it her.

"Everything was great at the Cove with one exception! Big, clean, comfortable rooms. Nice and helpful employees. But the swimming pool was a disappointment. It was obviously for families with small children, not people like us with teenagers. No one told us we wouldn?t be welcome, but it was a very small pool, and always filled with little ones, so we didn?t intrude. Unfortunately the hot tub wasn?t working when we were there either, but being right next to the kiddy pool, that may not have been too enjoyable anyway. Other than that, it was a wonderful week!"

I enjoyed the hotel except that you had to go outside the building to smoke. It is 175.00 fine to smoke even on your balcony. It rained most of our trip and they really need to improve the game room most games were broken and no hot tub inside just outside. It would be nice if they had the n. and s. tower connected so you do not have to get drenched in storms to use the game room in north tower or swim in the indoor pool in south tower. They also ,when its pretty outside, play music from the hotel that isnt to everyones liking, espeacially if you like to sleep in. other than that it is a nice place and very clean beaches.

My son and I stayed. We had a great time going between the pools and ocean. He loved the water slide into the pool. The room was very large and definately worth the money.

Took this trip with 3 other friends, we rented two of the one bedroom condo's in the south tower. We arrived at The Cove around 9pm and were immediately welcomed by Jennifer who was working the front desk. She quickly got us all checked in and up to our rooms (Jennifer was so great and very helpful throughout our trip). All of us were very impressed with the rooms. The rooms were very clean and tastefully decorated, the kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need to prepare meals, and even store leftovers. I'm not much of a cook so we only did a couple of dinners in the room. We spent a lot of time down by the beach and around the pool. The resort was not full but the chairs around the pool and the lounge chairs available for the beach go quickly. The pool staff was very friendly and always willing to give a hand with setting up a beach umbrella or moving chairs down to the beach. The pool is great for kids, waterslide, lazy river with buckets that dump water and squirting water fountains. I'm 40 years old and still had fun going down the slide and floating around the pool. The beach was very clean and well maintained. This is still a timeshare resort and they would like you to do the "tour" of the sister property down the street. We would get a message on our phone in the mornings inviting us to do the tour but nothing ever pushy (we never did the tour). We all loved the resort, loved the staff, and the beach was fantastic. Can't wait to come back for another visit.

The Cove was a really great place to stay and in a wonderful location...not too far away from anything. One ammenity of the hotel we particularly liked was that they offer free chairs and umbrellas on the beach, which came in very handy and saved us alot of money. They were first come first serve so we had to get to the beach usually before 10 each morning to get one, but that was a super perk! One small disappointment...I had written in advance to request a "great" ocean view room and we didn't get that. We were on the 2nd floor in the south tower with 2 palm trees pretty much blocking the "ocean view", but on the upside the girl at the front desk did offer to move us the next day to one further up, which I thought was very nice. We chose not to as it would have been more trouble than it was worth. All in all it was a great trip and the weather was wonderful! We hopefully will go back to The Cove next year. This is a definate kid friendly place with the slide and lazy river at the pool.
