We stayed in Room 4 at The Cosmopolitan and it was great. Big room, nice ensuite, excellent flatscreen tv and dvd player. The manager was nice and friendly. Checkout was by 10am, but we knew that when we booked - we could have paid extra to extend if we had wanted. We've already booked to stay again... . We liked it!

We found the rooms were furnished to a high standard but the service poor. It's a small terraced house near the beach but the manager was unfriendly, awkward and scruffy. He knocked on our door at 10.02am and said we had to be out by 10.05am or else there would be an extra fee for staying late! There were no other guests that night but he felt under pressure. I recommend you stay elsewhere as there are so many nicer places to stay.

Excellent standard of cleanliness and refreshingly not a frill, flounce or bit of chintz in sight. Modern bathrooms and furniture and cracking breakfast.

very welcoming, clean and great location!!!We stayed in the cosmopolitan on a rainy saturday. The location is great and made it feel as though the rain would not ruin our stay. Everything is a short walking distance, the shops have terraced roofs, so no worries about getting wet!! I bought a cheap brolley and wellies and it made the stay even more enjoyable!! And what better than to be a bit cold and damp and be able to have a fabulous sauna to warm you up again!! Simply great!! Lovely breakfast - more than ample. Parking is o.k - plenty of pay and displays around.

lovely hotel, beautifully decorated with friendly owners. Parking limited to two vehicles but pay car parks are close. Problem with late night noise on Saturdays from outside

a small hotel - 9 rooms, very clean, very efficiently run. An old building but room had very up to date furniture, decor etc. Very close to seafront. No evening meal but a good restaurant very close.

Pieres gave me a welcoming greating even though I didn't arrive until 10pm! I had a graet clean, modern room with a view of the sea! The only down side was the shower wasn't very powerful at all, however, It wouldn't put me off staying again. I travel a lot with business and this has to be one of my favourite small hotels.....oh and there was a fab breakfast selection with quality produce. If you're going to Paignton stay in the Cosmopolitan

This was a charming hotel. The decor was lovely and of a very high standard. The japanese soaking bath was a real treat. next time I will try the room with the sauna.

Welcome was friendly. The room was very well presented and had been recently updated. Breakfast was very a good selection of cereals & toast and also fully cooked offerings as well. Good location as the beach is very close.

Clean hotel but not very welcoming in their approach to guests. Glitches that we had, at short notice the cancellation of double room that we had booked, offered a twin room instead, for what they called unavoidable circumstances. Secondly we were told that we should be careful about not making too much noise, and lastly no vegetarian options for breakfast available! So, I dont think I would visit this hotel again.

The hotel was very well situated in the heart of town centre, everything was easy walking distance and also close to the zoo.Was very well presented and clean and tidy with a modern theme to the decor.The only negative thing i would say is that you had to vacte the room by 10am and normally its 11 or 12 but overall had a great stay and would def come back.thank you!!

I turned up a week early but was excepted even though the hotel was closed. The owner got me out of a big hole seen as it was his anniverisary.

Probably the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in. tasteful decor, comfortable and smashing breakfast. Disappointed with poor parking available and the noise outside at night.

The hotel was easy to find with the multi story car park at the end of the road as there is limited parking outside the hotel. It was a lovely modern room, nice touches (bottles of water as well as tea etc).

On arrival at this bed and breakfast, we found there to be no parking. The owner was very officious and not welcoming at all. He asked my guest and I very impertinent questions and had we not been so tired, we would have found somewhere else to stay. Whilst my guest and myself were out for the evening, a member of staff had been into our room and closed the window, even though we were on the top floor. The wife of the owner was very polite and charming. The food was good. The room was very clean and tidy, albeit very small indeed. This bed and breakfast is fine for a one night stay.
