Everything was excellent, Highly recommendedThe room we stayed in was clean, well equipped, full of both old world charm and all the mod cons. Because the rooms are self contained units in the garden there was no noise from the Inn itself, thus making this a great place to stay if you want peace and quiet. All the food was first class and good value prompting us not to bother looking elsewhere for our evening meals, the staff are friendly and always willing to help. Gives the best of both worlds close enough to Oxford to be a city break and situated in a small country village. All in all somewhere I would highly recommend if you are looking for a good value, warm and friendly place to stay.

Catered for our needs but....We arrived and found that we were not actually booked in!! Thankfully they had some accommodation left. We had driven for 3 hours to attend a business-linked birthday party in the next village so it would have been a disaster to have to find other accommodation that late in the day.People were extremely pleasant and welcoming and the room was absolutely fine. We just had a couple of problems with the lighting i.e. No matter what we did, we could not switch off the main light in the room (possibly a security) light so we got very little sleep. As soon as daylight entred the room, the light went off. Also the bathroom light was temperamental! It worked fine on arrival but the next morning we switched it on and nothing happened, went to breakfast and by the time we got back, it was on!!

Excellent gastropub with accommodationDifficult to find fault. Everything was great from the warm welcome to the comfortable room and the great meal. And it is in the Good Beer Guide selling Hook Norton. Perfect!

A quaint alternative to a hotel or B and BA typical olde-worlde English pub, with modern en-suite accommodation in a separate building. Friendly and welcoming staff, with decent food at reasonable prices. Convenient location for Oxford and environs.

We were not sure what to expect , but were happy with our choice. We stayed for two nights in a well heated room which was important in a cold February. For a longer stay we would have appreciated a larger room, but all our immediate needs were met and the staff were anxious to please.

The Coach & Horses Inn seems to be more a restaurant with accommodation rather than a pub with accommodation. We arrived at 16:30 and were the only ones in the bar until 19:00 when the food service commenced. The Inn was pretty empty again by 22:00. Please note we stayed here in winter but I can imagine it being a more lively place in summer as there is a large beer garden. The service was very efficient and the staff were very welcoming. The food was lovely and it is obviously a place where people travel to for the food given the size of the carpark.

Room was small but clean and comfortable. Restaurant was excellent with a good choice of delicious food and the proporietor (didn't get his name) was a genial host, happy to have a chat without being too 'in your face'.

The Coach & Horses offered excellent value accommodation. The room booked was clean & tidy and had a good size bathroom. The Inn has an excellent restuarant with an extensive menu which is not over-expensive. There is a separate bar area which was small and cramped by comparison but did offer two real ales which were well presented! Staff were friendly & mainly attentive to needs, although breakfast service was maybe not quite as efficient as it could be. This was compensated by the good quality of food presented. All in all, a pleasant experience and good value. Well located just 10-15 minutes from Oxford City Centre.

Lovely staff very efficient and welcoming. Good room around courtyard perhaps room a little dated but very nice. Food good but perhaps a little too much!! Is it necessary to have boiled potatoes and chips? Altogether a very good hotel/pub

The Inn is easy to find with plenty of parking. Good clean room across a small courtyard, bed a tad cramped - probably a standard size and no room for a larger one in the room but it was all clean and comfortable and the ensuite shower room was good. Better than others in this price range. Recommended.
