Although the hotel room was in need of a little modernisation, it was clean and comfortable. There was always hot water and the shower was quite powerful! There was plenty of choices for breakfast: fruit, yogurt, cereals and hot buffet which was always hot and well organised. The hotel was on the seafront and was a stroll away from the pier, town and park. We had a wonderful stay there and would go back.

Not Bad at all....Was visiting Bournemouth for one night and used Laterooms to find a room.....Managed to get a double room for £69 (whereas booking direct it was around £120! The room was a bit pokey, but was clean and the staff were very friendly. I thought the main plus here was the value for money, and would recommend it for a one night stopover in Bournemouth, but due to the small room size, propbably not for a prolonged stay.

Nice weather but.........Rip off on single rooms. Decor is old and tired, breakfast no more than adequate.

Although I know they cater very well for groups of people in a far higher social group than me,I think this is an Hotel that suits Mr Average very comfortably.

We had dinner the first night. Food was OK but bar staff didn't listen properly when I said I could not eat bread (because I'm a coeliac) and served my salad with bread on the plate contaminating the food.I did not each much at breakfast. bacon was not very nice. I brought my own bread.Staff were pleasant and helpful but hotle was rather basic and I don't think I would stay again.

Our room was very small and as we booked only the day before travelling I was forced to pay £138 per night. English breakfast was quite good but with a poor choice for vegetarians. I am sure there must be better hotels than this in Bournemouth. Staff were quite friendly at reception but usually busy. Staff at breakfast were less friendly.

Typically most guest had a tariff of £50 per room lees than me, The decor of the rooms is tired and shabby, the TV facility very poor or does not operate. The restaurant was fine and above he general standard of the guest rooms.

Restaurant service, particularly at breakfast, was less than remarkable. In fact, I thought inefficient. We had to wait for service for minutes on end, and that is frustrating when you have hungry children. The hotel should work on this - it is the one area I was least impressed with.

Expected a room at the back of the hotel considering what we paid,£49 for double per night B&B.Nice room at front overlooking sea.Very impressed with quality of furnishings in public areas.Good location for beach and town.Enjoyed entertainment in sister hotel (The Suncliff). Will definately return.

The room was very, very small and very dated although the down stairs restaurant, bar and reception area was nice. We ordered room service at about 12.15am as it was available for 24 hours, after 45 minutes it still had not arrived. We called to cancel the room service and the gentlemen that took our order advised he still hadn't got round to doing it (we only asked for a pot of tea and a hot chocolate)/ We cancelled our order and just asked for some water instead.Also on arrival the toilet had not been flushed from the when previous guest who had been for a number 2 - nice!

We were so dissapointed with the size and state of the bedrooms. Whist the main downstairs area has been refurbished the rooms have not been touched. The noise levels not only from the rooms above and on either side which are not sound proofed, but the noise from a wedding and a disco that carried up to our floor was unbearable. Whilst the breakfasts were good and served well, the evening meals were apalling and the service not much better. There wasn't any hot water in the morning and after several guests complained, the receptionist informed us that the heating was being repaired on the morning of our departure. We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights and can honestly say that none of the guests had anything possitive to say so we knew we were not alone in our feelings. Bournemouth was great and we would visit again but just not this hotel or any of its sister hotels.

Room was on the 4th floor and the lift was not working (out of commission for 2 weeks). Kettle, tv remote and towel radiator not working although they were replaced or repaired very quickly. No hairdryer. Hot water was barely hot enough in the evening and the next morning. The pictures on the website were wholly unrepresentative of the hotel, particulary the bedroom.

Lovely views of the sea, room was a bit tatty but can't complain for the price.
