Cleveland Hotel - TorquayThe Cleveland Hotel is an excellent hotel, very well run and in a quiet convenient location. I have no hesitation in recommending it for accommodation in Torquay.

Homely feeling holidayThe Cleveland is a very warm and homely run family business. As you enter the hotel you're greeted by the owners (who, coincidentally, are the mother and father of the household). This makes for a very cosy feeling. While the greeting and hospitality was superb, the rooms were small but perfect for what ones needs on a solo holiday. Unfortunately they tended to have slightly cold bathrooms, which can be off putting for a morning shower. The breakfast wasexcellent. The proximity to the town is very good. You are a 10 minute walk to the nearest shopping area and 2 minutes from the local bike hire, making it perfect to go exploring in an eco-friendly way. Overall I would give it a 5/6.

We enjoyed our stay at the Cleveland for 2 nights. The owner was very friendly and helpful at all times and the breakfast was great. Our only gripe would be with the shower in our room, which had 2 modes of operation - scalding or freezing!

Had a great stay at the Cleveland over August Bank Holiday. Could not fault it! Very clean and pleasant room, lovely breakfast. Great friendly owners and the sun shone!! Thanks to Wayne for finding me a little bottle of Champagne!!

The breakfast was very good and the owners very helpful. The Hotel is far enough away from the sea front to avaiod the usual noise but close enough to make walking to all the local attractions easy. The rooms were well decorated and very clean. We had a great stay and would have no hesitation in recomending the Clevland to friends or returning ourselves in the future.
