The Clarence is ideally situated in a quiet location behind the Alexandra Gardens on the Esplanade. Most of the local attractions and amenities are within in a very easy short walk. The town centre with all the usual shops and pubs is only a few minutes away. The famous award winning Weymouth Beach is a two minute stroll from the front door. On your way to the beach stop and admire the internationally renowned sand carvings. Weymouth's picturesque working harbour is just minutes from The Clarence. If a visit to the Channel Islands is on your agenda then the Conor Ferry Terminal is but a short walk. And whilst heading in that direction you will also pass the Pavillion Theatre. During the summer months the Pavillion has a full programme of entertainment. On the far side of the harbour is the Nothe Fort. Enjoy the walk around the harbour that will also take you past Brewers Quay. Alternatively take a short cut and be rowed to the other side of the harbour. The ferries depart from the steps near the Condor Ferrry Terminal. Eating out at night? There are some fine restaurants near The Clarence. Whether you fancy traditional fish & chips locally landed fish a steak Chinese Indian Italian or just good pub grub you will find a place to eat nearby. Weymouth has a varied night life. As well as the Pavillion there are numerous pubs some of which have live entertainment on a regular basis. A ten pin bowling ally and a multi creen cinema are also within short walking distance.
