Brighton sensation..The hotel is a Regency style house in the West side of Brighton. The staff were fantastic, very helpful, welcoming and really made staying there a great experience. In fact we even received a welcome call en-route, to see how we were as we would be arriving late that evening. When asked they booked us a table at a local restarant they recommended - which was superb. The room was a quirky shape but decorated tastefully, we had a standard double, the only thing to make it perfect would be the addition of air conditioning, but then the weather was particularly hot when we stayed. Would definately recommend for couples staying in Brighton, it's a 15- 20 minute walk to the pier so maybe not for children.

The Claremont is the best hotel I have ever stayed inThe Claremont is without question the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the rooms were very clean and had lots of little extras which made all the difference. Very well furnished leaving us wanting for nothing. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the food was to die for. Beautiful garden to realx in. Quiet location and ideally situated. We couldn't have asked for more.

The ClaremontNice room, small but clean, nicely decorated and more than adequate! Food was nice with a fairly decent selection. Friendly service and parking was easy. Would recomend it to anyone, other than the 15-20 minute walk into brighton town centre if u don't like walking!

We were amazed by the room and value for money. If I ever go to Brighton again I will be staying here!!

Room very small but adequate for a weekend break. Bed very comfortable. Lots of hot water in the shower. Wide selection for breakfast which was delicious on both days. Location great for both Hove and Brighton (on foot, bus or cab). Ample payable parking in the street.

Very pleasent stay and caring staff. I felt welcome and looked after. As I was arriving late on the first night, I was offered arrangement to ensure I could access my room out of expected hours, then given recommendations for dinner, brought newspapers in the morning, great English breakfast and I was upgraded, so what else could I asked for?

Had a fantastic stay at the Claremont. We stayed in the four poster room and cant recommend the hotel highly enough. Staff friendly and extremely helpful and the hotel excellent. Could happily have spent the whole weekend just in the hotel. Four poster room may cost a bit more but its worth it.

Well positioned short walk from teh front at hove and about 15-20 minute walk into Brighton. Friendly staff. Shower had to be run for a long time to get hot and the hairdryer didn't work. Money was taken off the bill because of this. Great art work displayed as part of the Open House scheme for Brighton Festival.

Good hotel and good location, even here within walking distance of Brighton if you're reasonably fit.

Nice, boutique-style hotel, with old-world charm. The people were very pleasant, the service was good and so was the breakfast. The only thing I would say was that for the money, our room (in the attic) was a little small. I suspect that's not the case with the others.

The hotel is a long walk into Brighton, but very near central Hove which is also worth exploring for (quieter) restaraunts & bars. All in all, a lovely small hotel which clearly aims high & largely delivers (although the rather awful original paintings add little!). Our double room was small but otherwise well appointed.

Overall the hotel was very clean and tidy. I'm not sure about the other rooms in the hotel, but I stayed in room 5. This was supposed to be a standard double. All I can say is that I am glad I was travelling alone. The room was tiny, the wardrobe would NOT hold the clothes of 2 people, in fact I ended up keeping most of my clothes in my case. There was no bathroom as such, but there was a shower and sink just as you opened the door to the room, with a sliding door between that and the bed. The toilet was seperate and also very small. The TV only had bbc1, bbc2, itv, CH4 and CH5. No sky etc. The floor was very creaky and the room was stuffy. I had to open the window to keep it cool but then couldnt get to sleep because there was a beer garden backing onto the hotel. I was due at a conference at 9am on both Sat and Sun in the Brighton Dome - but the hotel only starts serving breakfast at 8.30 at a weekend, so I was not able to have anything other than a quick bowel of musli. Saying all of this Dan the manager was very helpful as regards parking etc. Overall, I would not pay full price for this

I enjoyed extremely comfortable \"five-star\" facilities at this well-appointed Hotel but at a very affordable rate. Only one criticism - people socialising at the rear until quite late at night, so had to keep the window closed. The Manager was extremely helpful on both my arrival when I required directions to hotels, etc, and on departure when I needed to leave my case behind on checking out, for collection later. I would not hesitate to return to Claremont House and to recommend it to others.

I can not say how wonderful the stay was. I am a well travelled person and I can honestly say that it was the cleanest and most beautiful place that I have stayed. Very friendly and helpful staff and lovely little extra touches.I will be making the Claremont my regular place from now on!!

Excellent! The staff were very friendly and helpful. For instance we got a parking ticket outside the hotel even though we had a parking permit displayed. The hotel manager went out of his way to sort the mess out, which he didnt have to do, as it wasnt the hotels fault. We would highly recommend it to anyone
