I stayed at the hotel because it was close to where I gave a lecture. It was easy to find and leaving was easy as well--straight down Connecticut Avenue to 495. The hotel was spotless and the rooms are spacious and well appointed. The bathroom was narrow but this is a refurbished old hotel and some structural problems cannot be overcome. It is at the end of the Dupont Circle shopping and dining area and the Dupont Circle subway stop is close by. We parked the car and walked everywhere feeling safe night and day. You can look at the more expensive Hilton across the street but you won't get better value.

Clean, decent sized rooms, good bedding. Thin walls. Decent hotel. Clean. A little further away from Dupont Circle and the Metro station than I had wanted or anticipated. But if you don't mind a 10 minute walk to get to that area, then hotel is a good place to say.

This is a beautiful restored historic hotel on Connecticut Avenue, across the street from the Connecticut Avenue Hilton and a short walk from Dupont Circle (and Metro), Adam Morgan area and embassy area. Our room was recently renovated - absolutely beautiful and very spacious. Bathroom was small but nicely finished. Bed linens were high quality, although bath linens were only OK. Toiletries were high quality. Personnel were efficient and helpful. There is a nice business center with free Internet service on main floor. Wireless is available throughout but with a daily fee. I will definitely consider staying here again!

Great location and service - a class A hotel!

Very elegant. Rather long uphill walk from the metro. An elegant hotel.

I selected this hotel based on reasonable cost and great proximity to Dupont Circle activities and the Metro, all just a short walk down the hill. The hotel has been recently renovated and is clean, quiet and friendly. Rooms are small but very adequate and include a small fridge, coffee pot, hair dryer and a new LCD TV. No pool but didn't need it anyhow. If price is a consideration, I would recommend this over the more expensive Hilton across the street.

The bedding was very comfortable, location is great-only 4 blocks from Metro with many resturants to choose from.

Nicely appointed room. The parking is prohibitively expensive.

The metro stop was to far from hotel for carry luggage, taxi ride was 12.00 in May it may be cheaper as they are going to a different taxi pricing rate I have never had a hotel room with such a small bathroom it was 5X6 YOU COULD NOT SIT ON THE TOILET WITH OUT THE PAPER STICKING TO YOUR LEG. THE CABNET HAD BEEN PAINTED, AFTER IT HAD BEEN STAINED., THE PAINTER DID NOT OPEN THE DOORS TO FINISH THE JOB. I CALLED THE FRONT DESK TO ASK ABOUT THE CLOSEST CATHOLIC CHURCH, AND WAS MADE TO CALL BACK 3 TIMES BEFORE SOMEONE NEW THEANSWER, THEN THEY WANTD TO SENT ME 2 MILES OUT OF THE WAY. I FOUND O NE CLOSER JUST BY LOOKING I THE PHONE BOOK. They had also forgot to put all of the curtain in my room, I had to asksthem to put them in. small room big bed. flat tv

The suite was spacious and comfortable. It had coffee-maker, fridge, ironing board and iron. There is Ample table and desk top area and lighting. Wirless internet is available from a thrid party at a reasonable charge. Plenty of storage and hanging space. Bathroom is a little cramped. It is an older hotel, but is very well maintained. Good restaurants within walking distance and close to Metro station.

Overall, it was a mediocre hotel. The staff was fairly accommodative.

We were led to believe the room would be huge. Instead, it was very generic room with little space to move around the bed - this was a big disappointment as this was the reason we had chosen this hotel. The food in the restaurant was great as was the location - just across from the Hilton where the sightseeing bus left from. The fitness centre is closed for renovation buit you could purchase a pass to a fitness cetnre down the road.

My whole floor (3rd)smelled like an ashtray. My co-workers rooms and floors were fine.

Close to metro. No amenities, staff wasnot helpful. Room wasrun down and small. I visited the Churchill recently with my children. This hotel is not family friendly. It was really overpriced. They are trying to fool people into thinking it is upscale because it is historic. The rooms are small and when I asked for a room with two double beds they said it would be an extra twenty dollars a night for that. Also, they only have basic cable which did not cut it after walking DC for eight hours with the kids. The good part was having a refrigerator in the room and the hotel was close to a convenience store where we could buy some basics. Dupont Circle is a fun and safe place to stay, so the location is great. I would just opt for a different hotel. I have stayed at the Hilton across the street with a much better experience. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel.

The hotel was located 4 blocks from metro station. Room was big and we needed an extra bed and it was supplied inmediately. Service was excellent. I would stay there again

Charming, quite comfortable and friendly. Internet/WiFi services need maintenance. This was an excellent hotel. It was small, quite, you actually can sleep since there was an area between the room and the hall.

Superbly located in the Dupont Circle area, the Churchill hotel is friendly and classy. Rooms are very spacious, and the valet parking is quick. Right across from the Hilton, so excellent as conference overflow as well.

Close to mass transit. Bathroom was small. The Churchill is four blocks to the metro station and easy access to all the sites. Expect a lot of walking in DC no matter where you stay.

Big rooms and elegant surroundings. Good location. Ambiance a littled tired.
