Room was close enough to bike downtown. Very clean. Parking garage on the facility. No refrigerator or microwave in the room but free ice was available and a small coffee maker was in the room. Did not view the pool or spa.

Room adequate and clean. Too expensive, no extras, no free coffee or anything. Good business hotel and for attending a convention. Parking too expensive, an uptown hotel in a small city does not fit for my expectations.

We visit family in Chattanooga every so often and stay at the Chattanoogan EVERY time -- until this trip. On our second night, we came back from being out late to find our beds unmade, the new towels thrown on the bathroom counter and new soap tossed on the counter. At breakfast on Sunday morning, the kitchen/restaurant were ill-equipped to handle the amount of patrons eating there. They ran out of food several times -- I never got to have Mother's Day brunch (I am the mom). People stood in line for 10 minutes waiting on the chef and his staff to "fix" breakfast for the buffet. The supervisors and managers on duty did not seem to think there was any issue. Instead of correcting the problems, they simply gave excuses. We have always loved staying here until this weekend and will make a switch to a new hotel on our next trip. My advice -- go to the Sheraton or Marriott.

Be prepared to have your stuff stolen! Not only did we get some of our stuff stolen, but they had the nerve to accuse our roommate of stealing our stuff! Does that make any sense? They gave us the run around; "We are looking into it" and we are interrogating the cleaning service". But when it cam down to it, they did sh*t. I know that people say you need to bring you valuables with you when you leave the room, but I don't have the pocket space to carry all of the sh*t we brought. Bottom line... save your money and upgrade to a Motel 6!!

Convenience of restaurant, exercise room and fireplace in the lobby. Carpet in room was dirty, Chairs in room were uncomfortable, old and worn. Furniture (chairs)needs replacing and carpet needs cleaning. I would not consider this a 4 star rated hotel.

The hotel was architecturally quite striking, the wood paneling reminiscent of Perry Mason's office. This is a great place to stay if you wish to avoid the children packed hotels down by the aquarium. It is located near a great restaurant (St. John's) and within walking distance to the Read Hotel which has another good restaurant/bar. A couple of disappointments: A 20 minute wait at the front desk while the attempted to locate our reservation which had been made that morning, and an annoying ticking sound that commenced at 6:30 a.m. At first it seemed to be the picture next to the bed rattling from the fan, but it turned out to be the plumbing. So much for sleeping in after a rather vigorous evening.

Friendly staff, central location. $8.00 a day to park our car. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room itself was about average, a nice bed, but a little small. We enjoyed the pool, especially the view of Lookout Mountain through the large windows around it. The restaurant was expensive, so we chose to eat elsewhere. Again the staff gave some excellent recommendations. All in all, a nice hotel. Would consider staying there again.

The staff are very helpful and the room, as well as all amenties are far above average. A visit to the spa is well work the trip (as long as you ask for x, and have a massage). She is fabulous - the best massage I've ever had, and I've had MANY! Thanks to everyone at the Chattanoogan!

It was clean and beautiful and the beds were terrific. The parking is a long walk if you don't want to valet. This is a really nice hotel, well run, and very oriented to customer service. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and competent. The room was beautiful. They do not have flat screen TV but the WiFi is free which is unusual at a high end hotel. Sort of far from the downtown activities but very close to a nice shuttle that runs most of the time.

It was the nicest hotel I have stayed in that area. Very clean, nice, and equipped for all needs. Parking I do not feel you should have to pay to park at a hotel you are paying to stay in when they own the parking lot. Extra clean, extra towels, great for couples or family. Everyone was very nice. Lots of staff willing to be there for what ever your needs are. The only complaint I have has to pay for parking in a hotel that owns the parking lot. I and the kids enjoyed the hotel a lot.

Nice hotel. It is quiet, but near the downtown core tourist area. Plenty to see and do on weekends.Once we parked our car, we never had to take it out again. My wife felt like a "princess" with all of the conveniences and ammenities. The restaurant's menus looked good, but we never had an opportunity to eat in the hotel. We will go back.

Staff, location. Price of room, price to park. This seems to be for travelers on an expense account, not individual travelers. The staff is friendly. The building is pretty. Beyond that, though, the hotel is lavishly priced for no good reason. The room is average in size with 1 straight backed desk chair and 1 sitting chair. Parking is $11 plus hotel fees. Embassy Suites and other suite hotels are much nicer and more spacious and have more amenities (full breakfast). This hotel needs a service to earn its asking price. I would recommend other high-end chain hotels or an upscale B&B in Chattanooga as an alternative.

"Had trouble getting hotel to honor free bfast and parking, but they ultimately did. Spa is immaculate and services are reasonably priced. A clean hot whirlpool and nice pool area! Reqested a clean shower curtain because the first one had mildew - taken care of right away. Great pillows and linens. Nintendo worked to keep teenager amused. Sunday brunch was amazing (not incl as free breakfast). We loved staying there. Felt very pampered."

All the staff was friendly and very helpful, the room was clean and the bed was fabulous! The maid gave us extra coffee and was so nice and pleasant. We liked everything about this hotel. The Chattanooga is centrally located, the rooms are clean and have fabulous comfortable beds. All of the staff was friendly, helpful and ready to please us anyway they could. A wonderful place to stay and relax.

The staff was extra friendly. The food was not as delicious as I had thought, it was not flavorful. Excellent hotel, clean & friendly staff. The facilities were wonderful.

"Check-in service left a lot to be desired; our package was not explained so we had no idea what to do to 'redeem' the ammenities of it. Also, our service at the Broad Street Grille (onsite) was horrible. We got our drinks but the waitress never returned. The package deal was a rip-off in our opinion. We wouldn't recommend the hotel nor will we stay there again."
