Great locationIdeally placed for transport and the sites. As you would expect the adjoining Fullers pub serves good beer and the the food was OK.Nice staff and clean hotel. I'd stay again but only on a deal - the non-discounted rate is outrageous. I paid £100

Excellent location, nice sized clean room, staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast was first class. I recommend a stay here and would definitely stay again.

Decision to stay here was last-minute, and I chose it primarily because it looked like a decent place at a reasonable price. Every aspect of my stay far exceeded my expectations. The location is excellent..on a quiet street just a few minutes walk from the Tower Bridge and Tower of London, and close to two tube stops. The hotel itself was wonderful. The rooms were just like I would have imagined a quaint London hotel should be. They were clean, extremely comfortable, and well-equipped. The in-wall TV in the bathroom was a nice touch! Of course, what can make or break any hotel is its staff, and in this regard, The Chamberlain excels as well. The staff was extremely friendly and accomodating. My only hesitation to recommend this hotel is that I don't want it to be sold-out the next time I go back to London :) But, seriously, this was an all-around fantastic place to stay! I honestly can't think of a single bad thing to say about it...and that's unusual for me :)

Have stayed here on several occasions and have only good things to say about this hotel. On this occasion, some others in the dining room had to wait for tables to become free at breakfast time, but it never happened to us, we always got a table as soon as we arrived in the restaurant. Top-tip is go at an odd time, not 00 or 30 mins past the hour ! Also, had enormous help from one of the Reception staff (I think his name was Steve), who helped locate and book a restauarant for dinner for us. As for location, the Docklands railway is closed until Spring 2009, but alternative routes are published on the London Transport web site

I Recommend the ChamberlainMy wife and I arrived to be greeted by pleasant reception staff who were extremely helpful and courteous and this continued for the duration of our stay. The room was very well apointed and extremely clean we found the whole experience wonderful (We wish we could say that for every London hotel we have stayed in). Forget the tube, less than 10 minutes away the river cruises are better and only a little more expensive if you use the voucher on the map provided by the hotel. Restaurant Ok but service not great and the rosti was awful!

Last Minute Overnight StayGood value - especially with Late Rooms - comfortable hotel and great location if you are based in the City

We all thought the hotel was great. Massive rooms and ensuites and very clean. It was old fashioned in that the bar was all wood and mirrors which really added to its charm but beautifully kept and up to date modern facitilites. Loved it and would recommend it to anyone. Hope they don't realise and put the charges up!!

Nice but they forgot our toastWe were given a great room and everything was really nice but unfortunately toast was not sent up with our breakfast in bed, so it wasn't perfect.

A very nice room and an excellent breakfast. I would recommend this hotel for anyone who needs quick access to the city for business or leisure. The only slight problem for someone on a lower floor could be the noise coming from the pub next-door?
