When arriving, take Highway 11 from either Kona or Hilo to the Volcano Village signs. Turn off Highway 11 when you see a sign for Wright road JCT 148 between the 26 and 27 mile markers. Clean, comfortable and economical. Check in at one location, Sleep down the street. No WiFi where you sleep. You will not necessarily sleep at the location you check in. My room was located a couple of blocks away in at the Volcano Hale. The sleeping quarters and bathroom were clean and the staff friendly. There are no remote controls to the TV. No WiFi unless you are sleeping at the Chalet. There is afternoon tea in the Ohana room at the Chalet where you can also use their computer or utilize the WiFi. All in all, the room I stayed in was quaint and a bit romantic. A little hideaway in the Hawaiian Volcano Village on the third floor with a shared bathroom. If you're looking for the Marriott, head back to Kona but if you want an economical place to stay while hiking the volcano, this is a great place to rest your head.

Fun to be with other people. Could have been a tad cleaner. Great for people travelling by themselves, or who do not mind sharing bathrooms and living space with others. We found it rather fun for a change.

Close to Volcanoes National Park. My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Chalet Kilauea Collection. The lodge we stayed in was clean and comfortable. The town of Volcano is really small with only a few restaurants and hotels, but it's only about a mile away from Volcanoes National Park which was the whole reason for our visit on that side of the island.

Hot tub. When we arrived they did not have the reservation, but after many phone calls they worked it out and upgraded us. So it turned out pretty nice!
