Good value at reduced rate. Clean tidy rooms. Could do with seats . Not convenient to sit on bed. Food very good, one must understand this is a family establishment it gets crowded, and caters for children, who some parents let run wild. Would certainly stay again when in area. Food very good, and staff very caring.

Short stay Very satisfactory accomoidation both clean and comfortable.Breakfast and optional evening meals were from a good variety of choices, and were both generous and served promtply

our stayhotel itself was fine, food good, room clean. lots of building work going on at new housing estates so quite noisy, rooms quite warm so have to sleep with open window so noise is even worse. poor wifi signal so couldnt use it.

Customer ServiceI was impressed by the customer service which is so difficult to get these days.Faxing was done for my work, with help from the front desk, and very pleasant manners from other members of staff

Best Priced Hotel in Area, Friendly Staff & Clean RoomsThis Hotel was a very nice hotel, My partner and I wanted to stay somewhere while we visited Woburn Safari Park and Milton Keynes shopping centre and as it turns out it was a nice location between the two, not too quiet (like Woburn) and not too busy (like Milton Keynes). The only real negative points about the hotel is the surrounding of the hotel. It is in the middle of a new housing estate which seems a bit strange. I didnt see any shops but there is a huge Tesco's about 5 minutes car ride away.Very nice

I thought the room was great for the price and the staff where very nice and helpful. The only bad point being that the reception wasnt manned so you have to call for someone to book you in.

eh...We arrived on a sunday & the stand in manager was really friendly & the food was fantastic. The next day the receptionist was extremly rude & slammed the door in my face & the food was burnt & tasteless. it's a pity the weekday staff let down the hotel. I would only stay here again if their was no where else available.

Hotel was perfectly adequate. Cleanliness of the room could be better as the bed sheets seemed to be dirty. Otherwise perfectly fine.

niggly problem with shower head in that the spray was not spread out enough and tended to drill a hole in your head---may just need descaling.Tried heating in room but could not get the temperature high enough for my comfort

Business tripThe rooms were fine and generally good value for money. The food in the restauant was OK and not bad for the price although you would not award too many michelin stars. Basic is about right.

Ideal location near Milton Keynes, friendly and efficient staff plus free wifi and good food. Recommended

Stayed here only a few miles from home, just for one night owing to building work cutting out heating, after staying at Jurys Inn for 3 nights! Cheap and cheerful hotel - more of a pub/restaurant (Hungry Horse) with a hotel attached. Exceptionally warm and friendly welcome; room fine with a few thoughtful little welcome treats. My only complaints were minor - room a little cool when we seeking warmth! Bath small with my head resting on the wall behind. No separation between pub and rooms. Would not have wanted to pay rack price, but good value at half that with laterooms. Very handy of course for M1.

Near central Milton Keynes, food excellent (both quality and price) and in a quiet area plus the staff are very helpful and friendly with free Wifi and a decent power shower. Recommended!

The main inconvenient to me when I reached the hotel after long jounry I found no one on the reciption. This took more than hour untill I found their phone number and the receptioniest open the door without even introduced opology.

Overall pretty average but the thing for me was seeing firedoors wedged open when they are allways meant to be left shut, no excuse for breaching health and safety regs

A Hungry Horse pub with rooms above - Fortunately no late license in the week so fine to stay at when working. Everything worked as it should so not too bad

Extremely happy with this hotel - friendly staff, good-sized, clean rooms (even an iron & ironing board in each room!), generous portions at reasonable prices in the restaurant, and all at a budget price. The only 2 slight niggles were that 1) the waitress on the Sunday morning literally pounced on us on arrival in the restaurant to order the cooked breakfast - we weren't given a chance to check out the cereal/toast/fruit etc. on offer. My advice - be firm! and 2) there was no supervision of or instructions for the toaster/grill machine, and as a family hotel I thought that Health & Safety may have been compromised, with young children around. Other than that, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to stay in this area. I will certainly revisit should the opportunity arise.

An excellant value for money hotel with a nice pub with good food attached. Staff very friendly and helpful, would recommed to stay here although a little further from Milton Keynes central than I thought when booking but there is a local bus service.

I didnt find the staff very friendly, helpful or professional at all. Their telephone manner was terrible (they swore in the background of a telephone conversation I had). There was also a mix up with the pricing: I was quoted the wrong price (apparently this was latesroom's fault) and then had a very unhelpful receptionist tell me that 'they were loosing money left, right and centre' (which isn't surprising judging by their standard of custer care -nor anything to do with me for that matter - I did not wish to know their financial postion - I just wanted my room at the price I'd been quoted!). It wasnt until I started to quote the 'Trade Descriptions Act' that the lady backed down, and agreed to waiver the extra £15 she had been insisnting on adding on. Despite me saying that I could show her the confirmation email - proving my point, she declined and said she wasn't 'allowed' to let me on her computer - which I thought was pathetic and just lengthened the discussion for another 5 minutes! That said - if you want a 'bog standard room' as a stop over, this place does offer value for money (but only for the thick skinned amongst us!)
