Evening out stop overStaff on arrival were very freindly and helpful. Although stag party at the front of the pub was a little off putting at first. Room was small , but clean and comftable for a one night stop over. Food was nice and very good value for money. served very quickly , even though restaurant was quite full. All in all very good value for money

Not the best, but great value for moneyThis was far from the best accommodation I have stayed in and a bit rough around the edges. It is certainly in need of a lick of paint and some new carpet or preferably a full refurb. Having said that, it only cost £35 per night and was brilliant value for money. Add in the fact that it is a Weatherspoons pub where you are assured of something out of the vast menu to be to your liking and drinks as cheap as anywhere else in the country and this hotel has at least worth a try. For anyone working in the area and looking for accommodation, this would be ideal. However I suspect tourists may consider the decor a bit off putting.

room at brocket armsWe asked to move rooms because of the noise of the pipes etc outside and the windows didn't open. It was hot. We were moved further away from the pipes. Still a noise but better and glad to be moved easily. Drink was flooded with mixer.

Not bad as a budget hotelSpent two nights here in the end. Not a bad hotel, decor slightly dated, i.e. paint peeling in the bathroom etc, and a fairly tired carpet. That said, the quality of fittings in the bathroom was good, the power of water in the bathroom was excellent. Bed was OK. Overall - fine value for £35 for a very short 1 or 2 night stay. Just a place to lay your head really. PS Double room was very small, and tight for space!

Very Enjoyable StayCustomer Service was excellent, especially the young lady on the reception who explained everything thoroughly. Room was small but more than adequate for a one night stay.We had an evening meal and breakfast the next morning which was very goodWe stayed here because we were going to see a Rugby League game at the JJB Stadium.Great location only a short taxi ride to the ground and when we arrived back the bar was open until 1.30a.m.Great visit.

Good location, terible beds!!Stayed at the The Brocket Arms for two nights. The rooms are fine, but stay somewhere else for comfort! The beds are terrible! Two restless nights on a knackered old spring matress is not what I expected! The room was baltic as well, as the power is operated by your room card. I would stay again for the location and the pub that shares the building, but only if they splash out on new matresses!

Evening meal was excellent, very good value for money and very tasty. Breakfast was a bit of a disappointment - no fresh fruit available, but the meal was acceptable. The shower was one of the best we have used in a hotel. The hotel is very convenient for the city centre and the blonde young lady Receptionist, who was on duty for the evening and following morning was very friendly and helpful. We came on this occasion for a wedding but it is so handy for Wigan and visits to our grandchildren we will most likely stay again.

This hotel is cheap and cheerful, rooms may be in slight need of updating (bed cover had cigarette burns). However, ideal for an overnight or weekend stay, staff are very friendly and helpful, both on reception and in the bar area. Food was served very quickly and was good value for money. Easy walking distance down into the centre to the shops/pubs etc. Would recommend to friends and family and will be staying again in the future.

As always an excellent stay at the Brockett. Best value hotel that the group of us have stayed in. Staff are great. Accomodation whilst rooms are small more than adequate for a long weekend. Well worth a visit
