I thought The Bristol Hotel was really good - classy, not chintzy, clean and quite modern. With laterooms it was a really good deal. THe only thing that was slightly annoying is the highly priced NCP car park that the Bristol hotel are attached to is very expensive if you are not staying within the hours of 530pm - 930am (when the hotel covers the cost).

okay hotelI was very excited when booking my weekend away but found the hotel awful. The staff were very rude and unhelpful and the room and bed sheets where dirty and smelt un-clean. The ironing board was also broken when we got there. The worse part was the noise you could here through the walls i went out for a nice meal and then came back to rest and sleep i got ONE HOUR SLEEP before a load of other guests returned back to the hotel drunk and made such a noise and shouting untill 6.00 AM in the morning. Nothing seemed to be done regarding the noise. I would call this an UNSATISFACTORY HOTEL. Also when checking out staff were rude and just said just pay bill now!!!!!!!! Rude.

The Hotel management went the extra mile to make my girlfriends birthday stay a great success. Highly recommended, will stay here again when in Bristol

Excellent location with beautiful views across waterfront areaGood value central hotel. Second time stayed. Would return. Rates its 4* status, car park next door (NCP) but quite expensive in day but free overnight to guests

Bristol Hotela good standard central hotel in Bristol - ideal for the single business traveller. Efficient, clean. It was very hot on the night I stayed but there was thoughtfully a fan in the room (no aircon) - possible requested by a previous guest, but welcome nevertheless.

the hotel was very warm and welcoming, the room was immaculate and very relaxing. Breakfast if not included is £16 pp but this can be avoided if you notify reception upon arrival and get for £5 which the reception told me once i had paid the £16.

Customer service => 3. Reception forgot to order taxi.Value for money => 3. Paid 125, no breakfast. Colleagues paid 97 with breakfast (same type of room).Quality of food => 4. 16 for breakfast !!!!!

Mixed FeelingsThe hotel itself is not pretty, however the general decor inside is beautiful and rooms very functional and tasteful. Cleanliness overall was good but some of the lighter carpets could have done with cleaning. The location is good in that you are halfway between the 'two parts' of Bristol and overlooking the harbourside, but bad in that you are opposite about six bars/clubs and this makes for noisy evenings, and in our case a very bad nights' sleep. I cannot fault the staff as they were all friendly and courteous. We did not have breakfast or dinner at the hotel but we did decide to have an afternoon tea before we left Bristol and I have to say that it was the worst afternoon tea I have ever had. After speaking with the food and beverages manager the tea was removed and the bill waived without argument. In conclusion, my feelings on this hotel are of general disapointment as I had great hopes of it being a regular place to stay in Bristol.

Executive room - Poor air conditioningGood reception, pleasant room, clean.... BUT.... the Air conditioning was woefully inadequategiving a very uncomfortable nights sleep.Given the higher cost.. despite the appearence it was, in reality, a low quality room in terms of environment.

weekend at the bristol hotelWe stayed at this hotel for a romantic weekend and booked through this web site. The hotel is very well located and we did'nt need to use our car at all, an advantage. I booked a luxury room at extra cost. Although the appearance was generally pleasant I did think it was on the small side for the price (we've had bigger rooms for less money). No wow factor really but was adequate. Also the price we paid did'nt include breakfast which I only realised after booking. It therefore worked out being pricey really and I did'nt get a feeling of good value for money. In addition the hotel has no spa facilities which adds to that feeling. On the plus side clean and newly refurbished well.

Good weekend break - Bristol you should be proud of the development around the docks!Fantastic hotel and location. Pity about the food. Although this wouldn't put me off booking this hotel again. There are plenty of places to eat close to the hotel. Would recommend Lloyd's Bar (Wetherspoons) across the foot bridge for breakfast.

Chilled bottle water in the rooms would be appreciated Magazines were out of date Card key didnt work so had to return to reception - phone to reception on floor lpobbies would be useful

Tiny rooms!I booked this hotel on the internet specifically requesting a twin room as both me and my friend are pregnant. When we arrived they put us in a room that was only just bigger than the double bed in there, and with no air conditioning on the hottest weekend of the year. fair enough, they were booked up but we had booked well in advance. When we enquired about a twin room they said there were none available, and specifying a twin room on the web did not guarantee it. So why ask?! They did change our room to a much bigger room with air conditioning upon request, and also had a king size bed which was more than adequate.Also, there is no car parking facilities for this hotel. The NCP car park next door says it is free for hotel customers, but this is not quite true. It is free from 5:30pm (check in is from 2pm!) until 9:30 the next morning. We were offered a weekend ticket for £8 as this was cheaper than paying the extra in the car park.

Check your room has air conditioning when booking!!!!!!!!!!!I have to say I was very disappointed in our room at this hotel. We were at the front of the hotel (the main road), we had no air conditioning in the room and it was south facing. It was very hot when we arrived so immediately had to open the windows which were all closed (3). It was horrendous trying to sleep, due to the heat we had to leave all 3 windows open but then had the terrible noise from the main road outside, even though we were on the 5th floor, the noise was unbearable, not just traffic but late night drinkers on the street below. Our total hours sleep were 4 hours, we were exhausted and were not looking forward to the 2 hour drive home.I did complain to the hotel front desk manager and was only given £10 discount on the room and the £8 car park fee reimbursed.When I booked the room through Late Rooms via telephone, I was never told that the room did not have air conditioning, so I think this has to be voiced to the paying client as I would not like anyone to experience the discomfort. I suffer with Hayfever too so this was also a problem as the weekend we stayed was very hot indeed.Not a good experience at all!
