Good location, staff really friendly and helpful. I went with a friend and we had asked for a twin room which ended up being like a double but with 2 single mattresses and bedding so we were still pretty much sleeping next to eachother. Also our room was right at the top and although the bathroom was for our use only it was separate from our room and the only thing stopping other people from accessing it was bamboo-type divide. Neither of these was really a problem just a little unusual and would have been useful to know before we got there!! Breakfast was good - standard cereal, bread, cheese, meat, yoghurts etc, served at a reasonable time. During reception hours there was always someone on hand and they were always really helpful with all our queries.

Good location, good pricenot th enicest hotel ever, and the breakfast was a little on the meagre side but overall we enjoyed it and would stay again. The sheet on one of the beds clearly hadn't ben changed!

The Bridge4 of us stayed at the Bridge Hotel Residence for a long weekend in March 2009. We all shared an apartment and it was excellent - just like a bedsit! We had a kitchen and TV in one room. The apartment is very secure as you have your own key to enter and exit the building and then your room whenever you like. The hosts were helpful and always available if needed. They also accomodated us well by giving us 2 keys for our group so we could come and go at different times. The price included breakfast - it's from 8 til 10 and we only made it one day but there was lots to gorge on: toast, egg, fruit, cold meets, cheese, breads, juices, and filter coffee. The location is ideal - near the river about 10 minutes walk south of Charles Bridge and over the other side of the river from Old Town. It is in Smichov and really close to the Andel Metro station and a really classy and huge shopping centre. There is so much to do around there, we walked through the day and danced through the night - only ever sitting down to eat!The hotel was fine for us group of mid-20's but would also quite happilly suit a family or couple as it is quiet and private. I will definately look to come back to the Bridge Hotel again. It has a very relaxed atmosphere, spacious rooms, and we felt totally at home.

A charming place, located close enough to the main attractions. Unless you expect a real hotel, you should be satisfied. It's in a very old building and looks rather like apartments than a B&B. The reception was open only till the evening, then you had only an emergency phone (we didn't want to use it to just ask for a hairdryer). The woman in charge was nice, we got a free cot with linen for our baby and were told that had we mentioned we had one, they would have prepared a room downstairs. There's a lift, but its stops are on half-floors, so you still have to take some stairs.

It was like an aparthotel with breakfast. There were reception staff to assist as well but the best thing was you weren't disturbed. The rooms are fairly basic lay-out and trimmings but if you need anything you just ask the staff and they provide. Our TV only had 2 channels but with everything being in Czech this wasn't a major concern. The location is the real winner. Smack bang next to the river and a great stroll across the bridge in the morning or up the river to where you want to go. The Smichov area is excellent for dining out with many choices for quality restaurants at very reasonable prices. We usually paid 400 crowns (About £12) for 2 mains, and 2 pints of beer. There is also a great cafe near Andel metro called 'Kava, Kava, Kava.' If you spent 60crowns you could get 1hour internet. There are many interesting shops as well in this area. The security also seemed very good.

First of all it was difficult to find as the name was on a tiny plaque on the wall, I had been looking for a big sign. Secondly, there was only one member of staff who was there from 8ish in the morning untill 6ish in the evening, as a single traveler I did not feel secure knowing there was no member of staff to go to, or a public telephone to use if needed. Apart from that, the beds were very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast of cheese, meats , juices, teas, jams, yoghurts, breads was fresh and ample. The rooms had tea making facilities but no milk, so get a supply at breakfast. Overall I would recommend this hotel but not if you are on your own.

Cheap and Charming are what it says on the cards for this hotel and it lives up to this. A basic hotel that is very clean and has very helpful staff.

Although the hotel was basic, it was freindly and helpful and we felt welcome. Our flight was cancelled so we arrived a day late. after informing the hotel of our delay they replied promptly and assured us booking was ok. they did charge us for the night, but overall gave us a discount on our stay which was very much appreciaterd, i doubt if many hotels would have done this?

Informative reception, helpful to locate close restaurants and establish the location of main attractions.Room was of good size, but double bed was actually two single mattress so slight gap to fall into during night.Visited in December and really good value for money. Although a bed and breakfast, I never had breakfast so can not comment on food.Best to ensure check out time, as when i arrived was agreed check out between 11 and 12, however very prompt knock at the door at 11am to say check out. However we were able to check out at 12 without another knock on door. Plus point, was the option to leave bag and collect later in day- Thanks!Good stay and would visit again, as value for money if just after a bed... Certainly more welcome than many hostels.
