Date of Stay: April, 2009

Location. Out of date rooms, very noisy, disinterested staff. The staff - all three times I went to the front desk, the staff was talking among themselves and took their time to finish the conversation before even acknowledging I was waiting. The room - very out-of-date. It wasn't necessarily dirty, everything was just kind of grungy from age. And even with the door closed and locked you could see light coming through on three sides so bugs were just as easily getting in. The beds also seemed very tiny for being doubles. The location was perfect. Only 2 blocks from the beach, you can't beat it. The food - no restaurant. They serve continental breakfast from June-September. I went and they had one kind of muffin, one kind of bagel and coffee.

It was nice for what type of hotel it is. It's freshly renovated, kept cleaned and the staff was friendly. Cheap towels and the lower parking garage was dirty with debris. The location is in the middle of town so it's easy to walk to anywhere. The beach is a good five minute walk (two blocks). Our room was small with two double beds which is a little tight for a family of four. The room was freshly renovated with a refrigerator and microwave - great for keeping cold drinks and snacks. The room and bathroom were clean and the staff was friendly. However, the bath towels are poor quality and the parking garage below is dirty with left over debris from the renovations. Overall, I would recommend the Breakers for a short stay of two to three days especially for a family of three or four.
