Overview:
Bonham Hotel Edinburgh has one of the best locations, only three blocks from the famous shopping district of Princess Street. Guests of this Edinburgh hotel can walk to Edinburgh International Conference Centre for business or the Edinburgh Castle during leisure time. Being near the Georgia New Town offers visitors a huge selection of things to do and see.
Because this hotel is centrally located, it is easily reached. Most guests fly into the Edinburgh International Airport and rent a car or take public transportation to Bonham Hotel Edinburgh.
The bedrooms have been perfectly restored to their original late 19th century splendor. Throughout Bonham Hotel Edinburgh are numerous antiques, heavy furniture, and detailed tapestries/paintings, made using rich, Victorian colors. On-site is the Restaurant at The Bonham, known around the country for its mouth-watering European food and variety of wine.
For fine accommodations, people stay at Bonham Hotel Edinburgh, named the Scottish Boutique Hotel of the Year. The decorum is contemporary yet with a timeless sophistication. This Victorian inspired hotel is conveniently located on the west side of Edinburgh where numerous restaurants and shops are located.

Cold reception from reception staffContradictory information given out by reception staff regarding inclusion of breakfast in room rate. According to LateRoom booking confirmation, breakfast not included. According to reception staff, breakfast was included. So both had breakfast the following morning and were promptly charged GBP 15.00 for continental breakfast consisting of 1 cup of coffee, 1 croissant and 1 glass of orange juice. Extra charge for breakfast not noted on hotel bill or mentioned at time of payment at reception. Extra charge only subsequently noticed once payment had been made; had to call hotel to express dissatisfaction. Refund of breakfast charge promised.

No A/C. Highly priced and the contemporary furnishings are tired and don't work with the 19th Century building.

Hotel upgraded us when friends booked champagne for our roomStaff were friendly and helpful, checked bags in a 10am and were told we could check in at 2pm. Room was ready but because friends had asked for champagne in our room (which was waiting for us in an ice bucket) the hotel upgraded us at no extra cost to celebrate our anniversary! Excellent and totally appreciated.

Home from HomeWe recently stayed at The Bonham for our Wedding Anniversary. It is the first time I have ever had a good nights sleep away from home. There was a slight misunderstanding with room service, which had been ordered some days previously, but the staff soon rectified this without fuss. The Bonham is situated in a quiet location but within easy walking distance of the centre of Edinburgh. We had an excellent stay and are looking forward to going back in the future!

chic, unique, boutiqueExcellent, attentive, but discrete service. Beautifully decorated double room with views of the city.Quiet, elegant Victorian terrace, a stones throw from George Street.Private parking a total bonus in centre of city.A fantastic boutique hotel experience. Many thanks to all.

The service was excellent and the food was first class. Thought about going out to eat but very glad we changed our minds. Would very definitely go back and the rate we received was excellent.

One if the best hotels in Edinburgh, if you can get a room book it.

This is a really lovely hotel in a lovely quiet location but still very close to the action. The staff really make it though, we arrived horribly early after a terrible journey up on the sleeper train but they made up a room especially and let us check in at 8am with no extra charge. Thoroughly recommended.

No air-conditioning in the room meant that it was so hot we were unable to sleep, and while staff provided a fan and iced water, it didn't help much. Why air-con in reception and none in the bedrooms?

This is a great hotel if you are on business, or for a weekend away without children. The staff are efficient, the atmosphere is relexed, the rooms are well equiped,on the right side of town for the airport.

Pleasant welcome, helpful staff and comfortable, easy atmosphere in lounge. The bedroom was warm and quiet (I'd asked specifically for a quiet room) and the duck down pillows were fab.. Great breakfast, being good quality and well-presented, with great coffee in an attractive dining room. I'd have no qualms about staying there again; I enjoyed it.

Great little hotel in a great part of town. The service at The Bonham is always of the highest standard and the hotel is a great alternative to the bland corporate hotels that fill our cities. The rooms are comfortableand stylish, you can park your car easily and the breakfast is first class. Highly recommended!

Great Hotel for couples on a break in Edinbough, very stylish modern, and highly efficient.

I was disappointed that as a single female to be put in a room that was in the basement that could be accessed from the carpark. I did not feel that secure. Also the entrance door to the room lacked security mechanisms from the inside. There were no chains or deadbolts. The room service menu was too fussy and lacked a simple hot meal. I ordered a cheese sandwhich although I wanted something warm.

The breakfast was a bit disappointing in that some of the food was overcooked and this was based on a previous stay when the breakfast was outstanding in the cooking. They also showed a nice touch in asking about the restaurant that we had visited the previous evening so that they could update guests and also see how their's compared. The car park is a bit difficult to find the first time but after that it is OK.No problem in recommending this hotel to other people.

Perfect location, quiet but within easy reach of city centre. Ideal having car park at rear. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, will definitely stay here again.
