A totally poor experience. We booked a conference back in december, signed contracts and gave credit card details - hotel insisted to have credit card details by email (not secure). When we rang up to check everything was ok with our conference a couple of weeks beforehand we were told we had no booking!!!! We had to send them a copy of the contract before they admitted we did have a booking. When our trainer arrived she was told the hotel was full and she didnt have a resevration. It took an irate call to the general manager for him to finally sort a room out for our trainer. During the conference this hotel scored the lowest scores we have ever had from our delegates on their feedback form regarding the hotel and its services. I could go on but its a waste of my time!

Very noisy room on a very busy main road. This hotel was convienient for trains into the town centre, but on a Sunday, the train station was shut and taxis cost between £10 - £12 each way! The Hotel also locks its front doors at 3.00pm on a Sunday and you have to ring a number to get back in! Not good if you dont have a phone with you!! or if you cant read the notice. Sorry, but I would not stay here again.

roomI was quite disappointed with the condition of the room i had paid for, there was no handle on the window and the window didn't lock,so when i left my room i had to take my belongings with me in case some1 climbed through the window. The shower was supposed to have 2 glass sliding doors, one was completely missing, there were silver fish running around the bathroom too.when i first arrived at the hotel nobody was at the front desk so i had to wait a while, there was no way of alerting staff i was there either so just had to wait until they were ready. Then i was made aware of the £60 deposit i had to pay, which i wasn't told about when i booked the room..i did express my concerns at the desk when i was checking out,im not really fussy and don't expect a palace for the price i paid, but really wasnt expecting it to be so bad either so i had to make my feelings known,as i would actually like to stay there again due to it being an affordable price and in a perfect location for when i visit.

The booking was made by my company on my behalf. Unfortuantly despite giving card details when making the reservation, apparently this was not acceptable and I had to pay out of my own pocket! I understand you might have fraudilent issues, but surely, if the security, card number and the holders name is given when making the reservation, then this shouldn't be an issue. As far as I was concerned the payment was made at the time of booking, and It was an inconvenience that shouldn't have happened.

Birmingham HotelThe hotel is conveniently situated and is well managed and the staff are helpful. The hotel decor looks a little tired and would benefit from redecoration. Good value for money.

No sleep and naff foodMy fault, I booked the cheapest I could find. Wasnt expecting much but did at the very least reckon I would get some sleep ..............WRONGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Room on lower level with window on a busy busy , well bloody busy roadStifling heat encouraged me to open window. Crazy traffic noise till 00-00 made me close itBed was fine, room itself showing its age. Shower was a major downer both in size and cleansliness. Bathroom definitely needed a refurb job.Located down the road from a mosque (no issue there) where my adjoining rooms nieghbours returned from at 01-45 only to make more noise then Millwall supporters after winning (or loosing for that matter) Eventually got off to kip at about three after giving them a load of verbal and requesting peace & quietFood: Breakfast was ok but the curry from the night before was Horrible

I felt the location description was misleading (2 miles from the Bull Ring). I used this hotel believing it would be reasonably cheap to get to the NIA for a concert but found it cost me £10 each way by taxi, and it took 15 minutes - the distance was certainly more than the 2 miles stated.

Terrible HotelFirstly the Birmingham hotel is situated in a slum area with nothing of any interest within walking distance. Secondly the room was basic to say the least no shower, the bath was disgusting and the shower curtain had so much filth on it i swear it had its own eco system. The bar sold 2 types of draft lager-------1 of which had run off and the food prices were stupid £8.95 for a burger ha ha. For the love of god do yourself a favour and don't!!!!!!!!!!!!! stay at this squat. David Oakes.

Not a good choice for a couple..The only reason why I should go for this hotel again is that I have no where else to go.. It's not clean, gloomy, I know its double glaze but it sounds like the window is wide open.. the photos on the website are totally deceiving..

Gives Guest House Paradiso a run for it's moneyI totally agree with all the other reviews on this one. I wasn't expecting much, based on the price, but didn't even manage that. He restaurant prices were a joke, there weren't any staff around anyway. The neighbourhood left a lot to be desired. I certainly didn't want to walk around it on my own. I felt vulnerable enough just driving round it! The room smelled very strongly of cigarettes and wasn't very clean. It also needed to be totally redecorated. The reception area looked nice and the staff were civil though. Shame about the rest of the place!

Need a LiftWe found it difficult to carry luggage to & from our room as there are too many steps scattered along the floors & 'Meson in' floors to walk up & down. The hotel needs a lift!

Birmingham hotelThe location is next to a busy road and the trains. Its ok if you want to just sleep but thats about it. I personally would not go back to this hotel. Rooms are large which was good. The bath room was clean but very out dated.

TB stay at Birmingham HotelThe room needed repairs, curtains were not working properly, the Shower door needed repairing, no glass in bathroom, beds are extremely cheap and uncomfortable, could not use phone to contact colleagues in other rooms, Television did not have sky and was very small also remote did not work. There is no soundproofing, you can hear everything that goes on in the adjoining rooms.Food was adequate but over priced £15 for a burger is too much

Our stay at the Birmingham hotel was pleasent enough ( we literally slept there and left early in the morning) although on returning i checked my bank balance and was shocked to see that i had been charged twice for my stay there ( once on the 17th and again on the 18th) i phoned the hotel straight away but was advised that they had a copy of the recepit in front of them and that i had only been charged once, although i had my bank recepit in front of me and it clearly states that i had been charged twice, as a single mum money is quite tight for me ( hence shopping around for the best deal on a room for two) this has left me £40 short for the week, having been told that i would have to wait for bank statements to show i had been charged twice, although i am quite sure that it would also show on there end of day accounts that they were £40 up.

A dull, tired hotel in a rather run-down area of BirminghamAt a \"deal\" price of £35 per night the quality of the accommodation was acceptable. At a full price of £85 it would have been exorbitant.
