Big Sleep?The name of the hotel was a mis-nomer in that a stag party over the weekend meant very little sleep on the Friday. From midnight to 5.00am there was a party in the next room which only finished when I went round to complain.

Clean & convenient for the tennis but hotExcellent location for the tennis and very clean with some character. Issue was price at £115 was poor value given no air con (south facing room means you need the windows open on a busy road) and only allowed 1 parking voucher even though you are there for 2 days (if they had told me I could park on the sea front all day for £4 that would have been fine). Also breakfast was decent quality limited continental style but not reflective of the room price.Would stay again but not at £115 per night (they advertise rooms from £45).

Budget hotel?Really not the cheapest hotel and although very clean it was pretty basic. Staff actually chased after us to remind us that check out was 10.30 unless we paid a £10 supplement, which is pretty awful for a sunday morning.

Nice place to stay for a couple of nightsOn the whole the room was fine, a couple of niggly little things, but nothing to stop you making this your camp for the night. The standard room was much smaller than I'd expected, and the bathroom was also quite tight. Would recommend spending the extra and getting a Suite if you want some space to move around. The style of the hotel was interesting, which was why we chose it over some of the other more aged feeling hotels. Oh yes, the furry curtains, it was a bit like having the Cookie Monster hanging from the window, but it certainly made a change :) Would be a big improvement for the hotel to offer English breakfast as well as continental, that was a big thing that was missing. Other than that, the staff were very friendly and helpful.

One night stayToo minimalistic. Excellent views of the coast. Felt like a hostel. Shabby elevator. Breakfast was toast and continental spread with no other option. It's the EasyJet of hotels.

The hotel was clean and modern, although basic. The staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed in a suite which was spacious and clean. My only criticisms are that the pillows were very hard, the toilet was positioned behind the bathroom door and there was no blind or curtain at the bathroom window. Also, there are no shaver sockets in the rooms, so make sure you take an adaptor.

The lift did not work and the stairways are not very comfortable, especially with luggage.

I understand that the building conversion was only completed in July 2007 and as a result there were one or two relatively minor builder's snagging items that would require attention eg an electrical switch tripping out in a friend's room, and a 'stiff' door in my room. However these are very minor irritants as I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Was exactly what we expected from the reviews, very clean the only part of this hotel that needs tidying up is the lift as the inside of it is very tatty and dingy.

An excellent 'no frills' hotel. Rooms are very basic while still being comfortable. If you like 'chintzy' with loads of overdone furnishings this is not for you. Beds are firm which suited us. Linen crisp and spotlessly white. Very clean generally. Breakfast is 'continental' but nice selection of items. I would recommend this hotel and definately stay there again.

Wifi extra cost £8 and parking extra not much but not mentioned and on street only. Cold breakfast only very poor no option for hot cooked breakfast. Could have gone next door with breaksfast included.
