The Big SleepThis hotel is fab. I was expecting a cheap travel lodge style hotel and was really surprised the rooms were large airy and excellent decor. bathroom, Tea, coffee, flat screen, tv, internet ,all brilliant. Would def be using them again. Reception staff were really nice and friendly, includes papers and wake up call, has a 24 hr bar and continental breakfast, fantastic thank you.

Basic but really good valueThe rooms are very kitsch and pretty basic, but they're clean & bright, the bed was really comfortable, the staff were friendly, and you can't argue with that for £60 a night for a couple. Good value.

A little differentI am trying to persuede my colleages to use this excellent hotel rather than the usual Holiday Inns and Travel Lodges. The rooms are spacious, very clean and quiet. The breakfast is good for the continental type. What sets it aside is the staff - they seem to relly care about the guests and thier perception of the hotel - top marks to all staff

Staff were exceptionally helpful. The room was decorated in an original way - My wife and I really liked the colour, the furniture and the unusual curtains. We spent a very pleasant night here. We would definitely recommend it to our family and friends.

Clean Room, No VentilationA clean and tidy room, but without ventilation or A/C apart from windows that hardly open so on a muggy night the room was very stuffy. Opening the windows meant little sleep due to noise from local revellers, house alarms going off and seagull and cat fights!Decent shower and good breakfast selection.Would stay again if decent ventilation were available so didn't have to open the windows at night!

Nice enjoyable stay - good value for money and nicely close to townMy first thoughts when I entered the hotel was that I was in a branch of Ikea! Very bright and quirky decor and trappings, but all very clean and fresh. We were allowed to check in far earlier than advertised which was VERY handy for us. Checking out was at 10.30am though which we found was quite a bit too early. We could have stayed till 12 if we paid an extra £10, but come on! The room had a cupboard labelled "CHILL" in large letters which I was upset to find DID NOT contain a fridge! The curtains were like something from The Muppet Show but the room was very clean and comfortable. I would definitely return to the hotel and recommend anyone else to do so.

The hotel was excellent value for a one night stay, I arrived late in the evening, the receptionist was friendly. The breakfast was good. The accommodation is suitable for a no frills good value for money short stay, and as a base for exploring the surrounding area which is very nice.

last minute bookinga superb hotel right in the centre of Cheltenham we were on the 3rd floor and it was very quiet even on a Friday night.The hotel is a refreshing change; the building used to be The Inland Revenue offices - perhaps you could close them all down and turn them into Big Sleeps?Breakfast was self service in a funky dining room with plenty to eat. We will be back.

Modernist and it worksThe interior is uncompromisingly bright and modern - and it works. Good sized bright clean room. Slept like a log. Very good value for cetral location.

Lousy breakfasts and poor service let down an otherwise great hotel2nd time we have stayed here. Forgave them the breakfast first time round thought maybe they were having a bad day but just as bad this time round. Croissants dry as dust and toasting machine takes about 5 runs through it to produce anything that is remotely toasted. Rooms are good though and central location good. Reception this time was completely disinterested in us, spent the whole \"transaction\" time at checkout looking at and fiddling on a computer with a colleague.

Not a bad place to stay.This hotel was not quite what I was expecting. The hotel has very limited car parking facilities and I was a bit disappointed by the fact that even though I got there quite late and was leaving quite early there was no where I could park my car close to the hotel. The man in reception was also not very helpful at that time because he was able to give me no idea where else I could park the car and so I had to drive around to find somewhere to park my hire car by myself, in a place I had never been and ended up having to park my car on the street quite a walk away.The room was very contemporary. It was very white and quite well laid out, even with the shag pile curtains! The rooms don't seem to have a lot of character but in a chain hotel that is not necissarily a bad thing. The breakfast offered was quite good. Much the same sort oof continental breakfast offered by any other chain hotel.All in all, it was great for what we used it for and I would definately stay there again if in the area.
