The Bentley Inn is an 1886 Victorian Mansion located in the historic & picturesque seaside town of Bay Head (just 60 miles from NYC & Philadelphia), New Jersey. Many call it the “Hamptons of the Jersey Shore. We are just 3 houses from the ocean and feature 19 guest rooms with TV/VCR, A/C, full-serve breakfast with 5 entrees, private off-street parking, beach badges & towels, bicycles, wrap-around covered porch, free wireless internet access, large living room, dining room and sunlit solarium. Slip back to another time and relax on the 1st and 2nd floor covered porches with ocean & bay breezes. Bay Head and surrounding areas offer hundreds of specialty stores, antique shops, auction houses, galleries & restaurants. All manner of water sports are available, plus biking and birding. We even provide rainy day and off season fun. We can accommodate special events (up to 45 people), small weddings, business meetings, family reunions, etc.

Since the late 1800's, Bay Head has been the favorite vacation place for those who enjoy a certain kind of quiet, a relaxing yet friendly way of life, and a safe haven in which to pursue both land and sea activities. The general enjoyment of the natural, uncrowded lifeguarded beaches make Bay Head a favorite for those who like a quiet time. The people who return year after year to Bay Head take great pleasure in some less publicized everyday activities - collecting shells and sea glass on the beach, bicycling on quiet village streets and, perhaps best of all, seeing the ducks in our wildlife preserve. Twilight Lake is a salt water lake connecting the lakes of Point Pleasant to the north with Barnegat Bay to the south. At any given time you may find mallards, Canada geese, white swans, an occasional canvasback of black duck, and of course, sea gulls at this protected wildlife sanctuary. Of special interest to history buffs are our two neighborhood museums and a walking tour past our historic vintage homes is a must. Over 40 specialty stores and galleries provide a variety of unique goods and services of a type not usually found in average shopping malls. The shops themselves are special, housed as they are in buildings of interesting architecture, some of which are over 100 years old. Antiques, fine art, gifts, clothing and collectibles join with specialties like jewelry, books, plants and sporting equipment to offer the buyer and browser alike a wide variety of interesting shopping choices. Dining in Bay Head can be a fun experience. The restaurants and food serviced range from gourmet take-out to award-winning cuisine, all in generally casual atmosphere.
