Room and especially the bath room were dated. Tv was hidden in a cupboard (but it did have sky sports!) Strange set up of evening meal which is served at 630pm which I wouldn't have been ready for so went to nearest town for a take away. Public bar and new seating areas are lovely but over £3 for pint of bitter? Would only stay here again if cound'nt get in any where else.

Not being able to get breakfast after 9.30 on a Sunday morning was a bit of a surprise. Otherwise very good,

Very nice hotel stayed previously . Good hospitality tray. Bathrooms could do with an update. Housekeeping excellent. Restaurant good. Hotel very central for visiting the area. Breakfast very expensive even for continental should be included in price of room. Will stay again.

Staff were friendly and helpful.Breakfasts were excellent, but we did not eat in the restaurant in the evenings as we felt it was rather expensive. We liked the fact that we could park right outside our room.We enjoyed our stay very much.

Hotel still being refurbished, even though due to complete in April2007. Quaility of the room was obviously reflected in the price as it was old and slightly musty smelling (still using blankets rather than a quilt). Wanted to play the picth and put and use the practice bunkers for about an hour and they were still going to charge the full day price. Girl on reception looked slightly confused when questioned about the green fee prices. Would not rate this as a 4 star, yet, maybe when al the rooms are refurbished. On par with a travel-inn. Breakfast not included and it wasn't mentioned when checked in. Great pub across the road which did home cooked, value for money food.

I would like to return to the hotel once the refurbishment is completed to see how it looks. Unfortunately due to only staying the one night I did not get the opportunity to try the golfing facilities.

I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. Rooms are always clean. Being a lady who travels alone on business, I always feel comfortable whenever I stay here.

The hotel is out of the city centre in a nice quiet area near the Beamish Museum. The hotel rate is exclusive of breakfast. The full breakfast is expensive at £8.99 but you can get a light continental breakfast for £5.99.
