Next time for longer....I was staying over night at the Beamish Park to attend a 40th party near by. I wish I had longer to stay. The hotel has been fairly recently refurbished and they have done a beautiful job; warm colours, lovely wood and fabrics. Uncluttered and stylish. I only had time for breakfast and the fresh prepared scrambled egg and bacon was delicious- no hot buffet and chafing dishes here! The cold buffet could actually do with more variety but the dining room has lovely views over the rolling countryside- the hotel is at the top of a hill so the views are really quite something. Above all, though, the welcome from all the staff from the very elegant front desk manager to the chamber maids made the stay feel like coming home. I really hope I can come again.

lovely hotelthe beamish park hotel is a lovely hotel, room was excellent value for money couldnt fault the cleanliness, and the bed was i would think a queen size, very comfy we booked through late rooms so was marvellous value. we have stayed in travel lodges which are sometimes more expensive and not a patch on this, so i would definately stay again!!

I had to ask for an upgrade - despite rooms being available we were still placed in a very "tired" room. The upgrade was superb although might be expensive in the future. Excellent location, conveniant for everything "North East". Staff very helpful.

Room and especially the bath room were dated. Tv was hidden in a cupboard (but it did have sky sports!) Strange set up of evening meal which is served at 630pm which I wouldn't have been ready for so went to nearest town for a take away. Public bar and new seating areas are lovely but over £3 for pint of bitter? Would only stay here again if cound'nt get in any where else.

Not being able to get breakfast after 9.30 on a Sunday morning was a bit of a surprise. Otherwise very good,

Very nice hotel stayed previously . Good hospitality tray. Bathrooms could do with an update. Housekeeping excellent. Restaurant good. Hotel very central for visiting the area. Breakfast very expensive even for continental should be included in price of room. Will stay again.

Staff were friendly and helpful.Breakfasts were excellent, but we did not eat in the restaurant in the evenings as we felt it was rather expensive. We liked the fact that we could park right outside our room.We enjoyed our stay very much.

Hotel still being refurbished, even though due to complete in April2007. Quaility of the room was obviously reflected in the price as it was old and slightly musty smelling (still using blankets rather than a quilt). Wanted to play the picth and put and use the practice bunkers for about an hour and they were still going to charge the full day price. Girl on reception looked slightly confused when questioned about the green fee prices. Would not rate this as a 4 star, yet, maybe when al the rooms are refurbished. On par with a travel-inn. Breakfast not included and it wasn't mentioned when checked in. Great pub across the road which did home cooked, value for money food.

I would like to return to the hotel once the refurbishment is completed to see how it looks. Unfortunately due to only staying the one night I did not get the opportunity to try the golfing facilities.

I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. Rooms are always clean. Being a lady who travels alone on business, I always feel comfortable whenever I stay here.

The hotel is out of the city centre in a nice quiet area near the Beamish Museum. The hotel rate is exclusive of breakfast. The full breakfast is expensive at £8.99 but you can get a light continental breakfast for £5.99.

A good hotel for a quiet retreat which is within a short drive of access to Newcastle city centre. Accommodation and facilities good value for money.r
