The best thing about our stay was the food which was good and the staff friendly, but accommodation is a lot to be desired. The rooms certainly need re-decorating and a good clean. The wallpaper was hanging off every wall and ledges haven't seen a duster in ages. If you stay in to have evening meal, be prepared to hear a lot of bad language from both staff and locals (not suitable for families with children)

a pub is a pub, not an hotelNothing exciting, basically a pub with accomodation. Therein lies the problem. There is absolutely no control on the language in the bar which echoes in to the dining area thus making a meal uncomfortable. In fact pub staff joined in the conversations.

The Bay Hotel ExperienceThe family room was large and spacious, but it had dated decor and furniture,the bathroom was not of a good standard of cleanliness. The breakfast was adequate for a small appetite only. The whole place needed updating.

Bay ViewHmmmm the manager who booked us in was friendly and polite.The building looks very nice and the interior only needs a lick of paint.The room was small but as we were out till very late wasnt an issue but it would have been if the stay had been 2+ days.The room wa very clean and the showers spotless.Breakfast was served quickly and was a full english (without the beans??).Three tiny issues..1. Its above a pub so noise and loud music is a given on some nights.2. Parking is a nightmare, dont even try and park in the pub car park till very late in the evening.3. The cleaners really need to clean and hoover the breakfast area before breakfast is served.Over all very nice and good value.

Our stay at The Bay Hotel was very enjoyable. Our room was very well equiped and very comfortable. The staff were very nice and friendly. The food was very good value for money and very appetising. We will definately be returning.

had a lovely stay here at the bay hotel, food was great.. even though it is over a bar there was barely noise from the bar.. the hotel has its own access which allow anyone to stay out to what ever time they liked and return without having to go via the bar side. The Meal i felt were good value for money also.

If you want evening entertainment of a good pub atomosphere, then the Bay Hotel is just the thing. Management were very welcoming, great home feeling about the service. Lively!

Easy to find. Small Car Park. Above a pub, but not too noisy in spite of music. Friendly staff. Good value especially including the full English breakfast.
