I loved the location. great French restaurant around the corner called Serge and it was great value for money also. Staff were friendly.

Very disappointing! Photos looked great but don't be deceived by all the mirrors. Room was VERY SMALL and furniture was worn out. Billed as a Junior suite. Requested a king sized bed but they had sold out (even though we had booked months in advance) so they gave us a FULL sized bed. Worst mattress I've ever slept on and I travel a lot.

The hotel was perfect for the purpose of my stay. I was in NYC, without my husband and wanted to try a more economical hotel than our usual. I was pleased. I like the (faux) wood floor (feels cleaner than carpet) and the marble bathroom was large and updated. Nice linens on the bed. The only drawback was the badly stained side chair, and to a lesser extent, the dated velour pillows on the bed and the rickety TV cabinet & old style TV. However, those were minor to me. There was easy access to wireless internet service included in the price of the room - big plus. Nice desk area for working. The room was small but very adequate. Nice big windows & bright sunny room. The front desk staff was very low-key and efficient, and the room was quiet. I like the smaller, European-feel of this boutique hotel. Decent location. Good value for the price.

Old, room only had one bed with a fold out couch - no sheets for the couch! My husband had to sleep on the couch. This hotel was old and looked tired. Location was ok.

Our stay at this hotel make our vacation to be better than we have thought about. The location is great you do have the feelling you are in the center of manhattan, easy access to metro station, very safe to walk even late at night, quiet neigborhood and our three children were really happy because it was very easy to go back to the hotel for a sort rest to continue later either for shopping or for strolling around. The front desk was prompt to answer any queries and help us, the room service very quick, our junior suite was very clean and plenty of space for five. Our older daughter was really happy to have free internet access and to communicate every day with her friends in Greece. We recommend to get the hop on service for the first days, very convenient and value for money. The breakfast in the hotel costs more than the near delis cafe.

The hotel itself seemed fine. The doorman was very nice. The rooms were decent. However, the air conditioning did not work and the guest service staff was rude and short with myself as well as other guests that were staying in the extremely hot rooms. They offered no compensation and an overall lack of compassion.

it had a bathroom in its lobby (no soap though-disgusting). It didn't have a room for me and they say they had no way of contacting me prior to my arrival. When I arrived at the hotel Tuesday at 6:30, I was told there were no rooms left. I cant begin to describe how this messed up my plans. Though I've used you many times before, this experience was so bad, I don't ever see myself using this site again. The risk of this ever happening again, far outweighs the positives I've had in the past.

The staff was very nice, they all appeared to be trained to act proper for each customer. I liked each person I encountered during our stay. The rooms were very clean and lots of room for the price in NYC. We had no issues with noise and the staff even brought an item we left in our first room (we upgraded) to our new room when we forgot it and didnt even realize it. The only problem we encountered was 1) the TV shut off randomly (but the room had 2 tv's) and 2) the boiler broke and we had two days of no hot water. This was a huge issue and not something we were happy with at all. The staff continued to apologize and offer us free breakfasts both days. The water was fixed by mid-day the second day but we were out until that evening and had to suffer through w/o hot water.

The location is great especially if you like Korean food since it's right in the heart of Koreatown. It's also a block away for the Empire State bldg and about 4 blocks from Madison Square Garden. Unfortunately I was VERY unhappy about our room. Our room smelled old and musty and reminded me of a funeral home. The bathroom sink was clogged - REALLY NASTY! Several outlets in the room did not work and were coming out of the wall. It was pretty noisy- definitely can hear the street traffic. I just felt so uncomfortable in our room! Take your chances staying here. Just don't be surprised if things don't work or things fall off or apart.

Every year my wife and i for our wedding anniversary spend a noght in NYC. Every year we stay at a different hotel. last year was edison, year before was the alex. this year the vinnci avalon. By far this hotel was the best. the location was perfect. the room was clean and comfortable. the location allowed us to walke from greenwich village to central park. the price was reasonable and to boot, we were given an upgrade at check-in. many good things to say.

It was 63 degrees in my room and they had no heater, only AC in the whole building, after asking for a portable heater about 10 times within 6 hours, they told me they have run out of them, then when I went to check out because of this the manager told me that 95% of the Hotels are like that, they either have heat or AC (no both), well, I have been traveling EVERY WEEK for the past 12 years an I have never seen such thing, much less I have been treated as if I was a dumb tourist. I have stayed at other Vincci's properties and they are awsome but this one has my lowest Hotel rating ever, next time I'll preffer to stay at a super 8 hotel than to stay at this place. ok... you take the desicion if you want to stay on a 1 star hotel on a 4 star price... Good luck!!

The room we stayed in was nice and the view was on 32nd street which was nice. The problem we had is from day one our door would not lock so therefore anyone could just push on the door and it would open. We stayed there for 6 nights and they never fixed the door nor did they offer us an additional room. The room was good along with everything else. They really need to work on the front desk and customer service. Our friends stayed at the same hotel but in a different room. Their safe would not work and they reported it the first day and 6 days later, still broken.

Staff was very accomadating. Needed to file a complaint with front desk about sink not draining, had repair completed before we returned from dinner. Hotel is an older establishment, vanity mirror broken off wall with exposed wires. No view, within half block of empire state building, several nice deli's nearby. A Block from subway. Staff was friendly & helpful. Calls to front desk for extra blanket, pillow or Ice was delivered within minutes.

The location of the Avalon is great, just around the corner of the Empire State Building and, if you walk Madison NOT 5th Avenue, you can be at Central Park in about 15 minutes. The hotel itself, what can I say. The room was small but we were expecting that for New York. The bathroom, however, was huge. I would have preferred the space was used in the room. It was reported to be a queen size bed but it was more like a small double. The staff was not helpful at all. We have been able to cash travellers cheques in every location but here. We reported the first morning that our hairdryer wasn't working and she added it to the huge list of other complaints. It was never fixed. Breakfast buffet $*?? We didn't try it.

Hotel Vincci is located on a quiet area just off Madison avenue and 32nd. Very close proximity to local venues. Quick walk to Madison Square or Times Square. Nice local stores surround the Hotel and great breakfast values found across the street at Silo. The area was unusally quiet for a New York downtown street. The room was very nice size with a seperate area to watch TV or work from the bedroom.

My husband and I stayed in a junior suite and it looked exactly like the picture on the website, except that ours didn't have a separate shower like the one shown. In New York standards, we felt that we got a good price and a very nice sized room. The only problem we encountered was a musty-smelling fabric curtain that was replaced with a fresh one upon request. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location. Hotel met all our expectations and we would definitely stay there again.

My husband and I were a little scared to stay here after some of the reviews that we read, but we had a great time. The room was wonderful and very clean. The view from our room was just an alley, but this provided us with a dark and quiet room. We would definitely stay here again.

Very comfortable, clean and a great location for us! The beds were very comfortable and the staff was extremely accomodating! I would definitely stay there again.
